Seasoned beef and fresh vegetables in a cast iron skillet withred wine gravy, topped with homemade garlic mashed potatoes
Our shrimp salad is made fresh daily with our simple family recipe
3 eggs omelet stuffed with shrimp, crab, pepper jack cheese and chives
Pot pie was mostly crust. It wasn’t flaky. The filling was good but not much of it.
Meatloaf, potatoes and asparagus were good. Asparagus was cooked al dente.
The server was excellent.
We loved the food and the atmosphere. There was outdoor music, or you could sit inside and talk and we loved having that option. The beer was good, and we plan to go back. There were a few Irish-y selections on the menu, perhaps not as many as there could be, but perhaps that's what the local crowd wants. After all, it's been there for about 25 years apparently, and always seems busy.
This was our first time at Kelsey's and it did NOT disappoint! Our server, Patrick, was great, the food and drinks were great and we had a wonderful experience! We will be going back!
Our party of five sat outside. Service was great despite the distance to the kitchen! Great evening. My first visit. Food was very good. Will be back!
Soft shell crab was outstanding,
Our experience at Kelsey's was as always most pleasing. We like the food, prompt service & friendly atmosphere. Their outdoor patio seating is a wonderful option. It has become our favorite place to go.
Great atmosphere and service. The food for the price it was was not good. Chicken pot pie was all mushy crust with barely any vegetables.
Corned beef & cabbage was drowned in butter and very very salty - beef was good & tender.
Fish & chips varies a lot from one time to the next - (since reopening) sometimes little pieces, sometimes nice size, sometimes too dark, sometimes perfect!
I know this is a very tough time to staff but we will keep coming until you get it perfect - AGAIN!!!😊
Thanks for keeping it going - love our neighborhood Irish Pub!
Great food, great drinks, and excellent service!
Our waiter, Connor, was very attentive, but never intruding.
The $1 a pop oysters on Fridays, Saturdays, and maybe Sundays too, is awesome!
A little noisy, but I'm a recalcitrant geezer.
Very good food and staff.
Kelseys is always good, food is better that standard bar food. Great go to place.
Another enjoyable visit to Kelsey's! Our party of six gave strong reviews to the food as well as the service. We sat outside under the big tent, as we've done several times, and the atmosphere was festive but not distractingly so. We will definite visit Kelsey's again as it's one of our favorite local pubs here in Ellicott City!
My wife and I came here in 2013 the day we got married, so I took her here last night as a date and it was great. We came all the way from Delaware, and it was worth the trip! I had the Dubliner burger, and she had the Rueben. Then we had the bread pudding and the chocolate lava cake. Be warned: The deserts are definitely sharing size! We each ordered a desert and had to take home half. After our long drive home we ended up eating the rest anyway. Really great! And the waiter was able to recommend and explain the different beers. We'll be back!
Loved the outdoor music!!! Perfect! The food was amazing!
Excellent corned beef and cabbage. Service was also excellent!
First time and will definitely be back. The food is really good and the service was great. I had Sesame Tuna which was a special and I hope they will make it part of the menu.
The food was outstanding and served promptly. Our group of five thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our waitress Elody was perfect!
We ended up dining indoors as it was quieter - but the family atmosphere outside looked like fun. They had live music (on a Friday night) and it was very congenial.
We selected the chicken caprese special. It was soooo delicious! And the server was very warm and appropriately attentive. We had a lovely dining experience.
Father’s Day brunch
A great place to eat! Friendly home town feel.
Good food, friendly staff The patio can be loud as the speakers are there but a great place for lunch, dinner or a drink
Kelsey's is always a great place to dine. A friendly atmosphere with really good food.
Great service and food! Will be taking friends there soon.
We used to go quite regularly to Kelseys (pre COVID). But went back yesterday after over a year. Not sure if they have changed chefs but their food doesn't taste the same. My wife ordered Shepherds Pie and the meat was DRY and tasteless. My son and I ordered the meatloaf and that was tasteless too. Their dessert list has changed too, the bread pudding is not on the menu anymore, that used to be a big hit with the kids. Don't think we are going back again. It's sad, we used to love this place and their food.
If you like bland, underseasoned, tasteless food, this is the spot for you. The Mussels were overcooked. The Corned Beef Poppers are just giant salty cubes of meat. The Mac N Cheese is as good as fast food mac and cheese (the added steak was 5 dry strips dumped on top). The Beer Cheese Burger barely had any beer cheese sauce on it. No one at our table of 6 loved their food. The Chocolate Overload Cake (which, to their credit, was provided free for a birthday), was the dryest looking cake I've ever seen; no one touched it. In addition to the food being bad, it also took FOREVER to come out, half our entrees came before our appetizers, and we didn't receive any utensils or napkins until we asked for them. The waiter also never took our empty glasses, despite us putting them all together for him at the edge of our table. None of us understood why this restaurant is so popular; we definitely won't be returning.
I had the Fish and Chips, my date had a shrimp salad sandwich. Both were very good and came out quickly.
We were back in person for the first time in 15 months (although we have been faithful curbside pickup customers), and it was terrific to be back! Attentive service, excellent-as-always Molly Malone's meatloaf, good beer, and luscious flourless chocolate cake. We always recommend Kelsey's for excellent pub food!
Kelsey's is consistently good - a Favorite of ours
We had a nice birthday dinner on Saturday night for our first time out to a restaurant since the pandemic started. I was happy that I could reserve an outside table. Our waitress was great, however the majority of servers and diners were maskless. I guess Kelsey's is letting staff make their own decisions on that. My cosmo was good and the crab au gratin was tasty. Hubby ordered their Dubliner burger which came with fries and he was very happy with it. I got the steak and cake that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was good and cooked to order however the crabcake didn't have much flavor.
The food in general is very average, but the service is usually very good, and the atmosphere is pleasing. My ribeye steak had to be sent back; the meatloaf was not good. The fish and chips and the shrimp salad sandwich were average.
The food was very good as always. The service was not great as always. I ordered a small side salad along with a large appetizer. A large salad arrived, it was taken back and I was told a small one will be right out. I waited over 25 minutes before it came out. I never saw the waitress in between to inquire. This service is not the norm from Kelseys. They are usually very good.
The service by Jen was excellent. She was patirnt, Allowed us to decide withoutrushing. The food was served hot and the platterswere abundant. The taste was very good as well.
The food at the buffet could have been a lil hotter.
It has been a while since we have eaten out due to COVID and even longer since our last time at Kelsey’s. Glad we went.
We appreciate that we were able to get a reservation at the last minute and generally we were satisfied. The food was good although the fries were limp and greasy. The noise level was high and we had difficulty hearing each other. The service was fair but I am willing to attribute that to the short staff on a Saturday evening.
All the food we ordered was fantastic. There wasn't a single item we didn't love. There is plenty of space inside the restaurant as well and we did not feel overcrowded, though it did have some noise (nothing too bad). Service was prompt and friendly. The guiness pour on both my pints were perfect.
Great food great ambience
Great food, love the Ruben sandwich, Awsome. Thank you
