We make a trip to Kellari for their Brunch on weekends when we are in the city and enjoy the visits. A popular spot with a good selection of Fixed-Price and A-La-Carte choices. Some specials as well. The included Belinis, Bloodys, Mimosas and Champagne and are served abundantly and are satisfactory for the price. Service is great. Food is consistently above average in freshness and flavor. Fresh seafood is on display showing pride in their products. I like their Grilled Calamari and Soup appetizers. The Lamb Salad is loaded with extremely fresh Spinach and complimented by a selection of treats that I'll let you find when you try it. Some tables outside on the sidewalk if you have good weather but beware that, for me, the tables are set a little high for the chairs and eating feels somewhat awkward. Think Booster Seat. Street (pay) parking and a garage below that you exit/enter through the building next door. Guard lets you out/in.

I really have no complaints about food or service- the restaurant is one of the nicer in DC for the kind of fresh food you get there. Service was a bit slow, but not altogether bad and not worth pointing out as a negative here. The one complaint I would register is that the entire beer tap apparatus was down- meaning you could not get any draft beer for the entire meal. When I wanted a draft IPA for before the meal, the server informed me that draft beer was not available for the entire meal and that it was down all day. For the prices they are charging here, this really isn't acceptable. If you're going to try to be known as one of the nicer restaurants in the city and charge like it, you can't have this kind of thing impact the dining experience.

Kellari on K Street is a Greek-style restaurant that features terrific for fish and seafood. The ambience is nice. The room allows for quiet conversations. The fish is well prepared. Spanokopita is good. The one dish that is not up to par is the crab cake, which does not use lump crabmeat.

We had the jumbo shrimp, spanakopita, and the calamari appetizers. They were all really totally yummy. The bread they provide is amazingly delicious, and so was the accompanying hummus. We ordered entrees, but by the time we got through the appetizers and bread we were too full for the entrees. But everything we ate was incredibly tasty! We will be back.

This is a high end place - wonderful food, good service, elegant presentation. Expensive, but on mondays, bottles of wine are half price!

Both the calamari and the lamb chops were extremely tough and rather tasteless. Only the cheesecake was O.K. I was very disappointed with the dinner here and cannot recommend this restaurant.

Food was very good, but service was terribly slow. At lunch we had only received appetizers an hour and ten minutes after being seated. I think this was driven by two large parties that were there.

This is a very good fish restaurant where one picks the fish and they cook it... But, they did not have the proper size for two people to share when we were there (all were too small for two people but too large for one person). Also: Grilled fish served with the skin on should have a crisp skin and more seasonings on the skin. This was bland.

Appetizers (crispy eggplant/zucchini) was good, a little soggy though...greek salad was very good. Whole fish (lavraki) was just OK. Lots of minute bones make it tough too eat.

Server was nice, but not very helpful in describing the types of fish that were available that evening.

The first time I have experienced slow service at Kellari. While the waiter was good he was not very attentive. You could see he focused in regulars.

Still the food is right on.

We arrived a few minutes early before 8 pm and were seated quickly. We ordered our food before 8:15 pm. The appetizers came quickly, but waited until 8:30 pm for the main course to arrive, despite a couple of reminders to our waitress. It was unpleasant and we were no longer hungry by the time the main course arrived. There apologies and an offer of a complimentary drink which we declined.

First disappointing meal ever.

Tried first to give us a table stuffed into a spot not large enough to accommodate it. We were two well dressed professionals - two attorneys with Rez.Server frantically busy. Took 40 minutes to get entrees for business lunch.

This place exudes “fresh” in terms of fish and vegetables. Try the sardines as an appetizer and Artic Char as a main, perfectly cooked with a crispy skin. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is fabulous! The have a large selection of whole, fresh fish available by the pound, as well as Greek favorites. It is not a Greek restaurant so much as a seafood restaurant with Greek preparation. The octopus was superb. A fabulous place for a special occasion! It is not cheap but it is worth it!

Absolutely wonderful food....authentic Greek cuisine with fresh ingredients. The seafood selection and freshness were clearly evident in the taste of the simply cooked food that captured the taste of the fish.
