Keg & Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I went to Keg & Kitchen for Valentine's Day and it was lovely! Our server was very personal and friendly, and the food was DELICIOUS. We ordered the cheese plate and korean chili wings to start and everything was fresh and delicious. My husband went with the four cheese grilled sandwich and fries, and I chose the spicy chicken sandwich with homemade pickles. For dessert we went with a stout brownie and the peanut butter "tastykake" and oh my lord, they were heavenly. My only complaint is that our table was practically in the kitchen so the view wasn't that great but otherwise everything was perfect!
I like the atmosphere at Keg and Kitchen. It was loud but it's that kind of a place. You don't go there for a quiet date. This time I wasn't that impressed with the food. The "DCB" burger apparently comes medium. They don't ask your preference when you order so if you prefer it cooked more, you better mention it. I thought the flatbread crust was tough and the fried asparagus spears were a bit greasy. That being said we were here before and enjoyed our meal so I will probably give it another try.
Sunday brunch showed signs of a Saturday night hangover.
Service for Sunday brunch was not typical of the service I've received at here during past visits. It took 25 minutes from when we placed our orders of eggs & bacon and blueberry pancakes until our food was brought out. The blueberry pancakes didn't have any blueberries... at all! They were also burnt on one side. I ordered rye toast and was served wheat. I brought the lack of blueberries to the attention of the server and she made a generous adjustment to the bill. So they sort of tried to make it right. I'll go back for beers and dinner but will try one of the many other local options for Sunday brunch next time.
I really enjoyed the meal (mushroom omelette). Went for brunch with friends but got there just in time as it switches to just a bar menu at 2. $3 mimosas and bloody Mary's and the omelette came with potatoes and toast. Not great for game watching but ok - you can see a tv from anywhere. Would definitely go back!
I've been a fan of Keg & Kitchen for years. The ever-changing beer list is a great feature along with interesting specials and a great everyday menu. There really is something for everyone. Servers are friendly, it's a nice atmosphere and the food is consistently good (I recommend the fish tacos or the flatbreads).
Always great innovative food. I had the 4 Cheese Grill. It was the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever eaten. I also started with their hot n honey wings. Awesome! Downed it with a seasonal draft beer on tap. This is so much more than pub food. It is thoughtful cuisine with an emphasis on flavor and creativity.
Brunch was phenomenal. The menu is awesome and the food was absolutely delicious. And I was thrilled that the brunch drinks were only $3 with a brunch dish. The service was delightful!! I've eaten dinner here before, but it was my first time having brunch. I will 100% be back
My boyfriend and I went for a nice dinner date and were awed by the peaceful ambiance. The dim and string lights really set the mood. The patio was nicely spiced with great shade. I ordered the short rib sandwich and it was packed with tender well seasoned meat. The soda is purchased by an unknown brand and it was great.
This was our first trip to Keg & Kitchen and we won't be back. It was extremely loud inside and only slightly quieter outside. Service was slow. My husband got the chicken and biscuits and the chicken was very tough. I had the pork bahn mi, which was tasty, but my sangria left something to be desired. Wish it had been better, as it's a great spot.
This was our third visit, but first time for brunch. Each time the food has been average, this time two people in our party ordered eggs benedict - when it came out the eggs were ice cold and had to be sent back. The sides that were ordered with two other meals came once they were finished eating - the sides were an order of biscuits and a side of scrapple neither should have taken that long. The atmosphere is great, but the wait staff is not focused. Beer is overpriced, I can go to Philly if I want to pay that. Really wanted to like this place, will not be going back anytime soon.
We went for my 50th Birthday, looking to try a new place instead of the same old. I'm happy to say we weren't disappointed. The Meatloaf and Burgers were fantastic. We had an appetizer of their signature fried asparagus which was done to perfection. The rarebit that came with the pretzel bits was absolutely delicious. They had plenty of drink selections for just about every palette as well. We did try their homemade pickles (came with bread and butter and dill) we didn't care for these very much but it was mostly because they use cloves in the pickling mixture and we aren't big fans of cloves. All in all, excellent food, our waitress Anna was fantastic and friendly and we will be back.
Good food! Horrible, practically non-existent service. I have been now on 3 occasions with different servers each time and service is just terrible and unprofessional. Long wait after being seated just to have water brought to the table, drinks another 15 minutes, apps another long wait and then finally dinner. If this place wasn't convenient, I wouldn't bother!
Service was excellent and very accommodating , food was good too; extensive beer selection. The only downside is that when the bar is full (which it was on Friday night), it can be very hard to hear or have a conversation. PLively and fun place for drinks and casual dinner.
