Keg & Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
I really enjoyed the meal (mushroom omelette). Went for brunch with friends but got there just in time as it switches to just a bar menu at 2. $3 mimosas and bloody Mary's and the omelette came with potatoes and toast. Not great for game watching but ok - you can see a tv from anywhere. Would definitely go back!
I've been a fan of Keg & Kitchen for years. The ever-changing beer list is a great feature along with interesting specials and a great everyday menu. There really is something for everyone. Servers are friendly, it's a nice atmosphere and the food is consistently good (I recommend the fish tacos or the flatbreads).
Always great innovative food. I had the 4 Cheese Grill. It was the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever eaten. I also started with their hot n honey wings. Awesome! Downed it with a seasonal draft beer on tap. This is so much more than pub food. It is thoughtful cuisine with an emphasis on flavor and creativity.
Brunch was phenomenal. The menu is awesome and the food was absolutely delicious. And I was thrilled that the brunch drinks were only $3 with a brunch dish. The service was delightful!! I've eaten dinner here before, but it was my first time having brunch. I will 100% be back
My boyfriend and I went for a nice dinner date and were awed by the peaceful ambiance. The dim and string lights really set the mood. The patio was nicely spiced with great shade. I ordered the short rib sandwich and it was packed with tender well seasoned meat. The soda is purchased by an unknown brand and it was great.
This was our first trip to Keg & Kitchen and we won't be back. It was extremely loud inside and only slightly quieter outside. Service was slow. My husband got the chicken and biscuits and the chicken was very tough. I had the pork bahn mi, which was tasty, but my sangria left something to be desired. Wish it had been better, as it's a great spot.
This was our third visit, but first time for brunch. Each time the food has been average, this time two people in our party ordered eggs benedict - when it came out the eggs were ice cold and had to be sent back. The sides that were ordered with two other meals came once they were finished eating - the sides were an order of biscuits and a side of scrapple neither should have taken that long. The atmosphere is great, but the wait staff is not focused. Beer is overpriced, I can go to Philly if I want to pay that. Really wanted to like this place, will not be going back anytime soon.
We went for my 50th Birthday, looking to try a new place instead of the same old. I'm happy to say we weren't disappointed. The Meatloaf and Burgers were fantastic. We had an appetizer of their signature fried asparagus which was done to perfection. The rarebit that came with the pretzel bits was absolutely delicious. They had plenty of drink selections for just about every palette as well. We did try their homemade pickles (came with bread and butter and dill) we didn't care for these very much but it was mostly because they use cloves in the pickling mixture and we aren't big fans of cloves. All in all, excellent food, our waitress Anna was fantastic and friendly and we will be back.
Good food! Horrible, practically non-existent service. I have been now on 3 occasions with different servers each time and service is just terrible and unprofessional. Long wait after being seated just to have water brought to the table, drinks another 15 minutes, apps another long wait and then finally dinner. If this place wasn't convenient, I wouldn't bother!
Service was excellent and very accommodating , food was good too; extensive beer selection. The only downside is that when the bar is full (which it was on Friday night), it can be very hard to hear or have a conversation. PLively and fun place for drinks and casual dinner.
My three friends and I came for dinner and drinks on a Saturday evening. There is not a very big selection of food, but what we had was very good. We had the everything pretzels and wings as an appetizer, which were very good, would highly recommend. I had the margherita flatbread for dinner because I wasn't very hungry after the apps. The drinks were great-- I had a shandy and a Ruby Rose cocktail which was grapefruity and smooth. The beer list is very heavy on the IPAs (of which I am not a fan), so if you're going looking for a good beer just know most of what I saw was hop-tastic. We were in the back room, which was quiet and perfect. All of the staff were very friendly, our server was attentive without being overbearing. Definitely will be back.
My husband and I came here for dinner and drinks before going to a play a few minutes away. The reviews were very good and the menu looked good. We were seated right away in their outide area. Menus, a large bottle of water and our waitress all arrived quickly. We sat outside, under a beautiful, covered area. There were some high tops, tables for 4 and long tables. They did a goid job of making you forget you wete off a main road, sitting next to their parking lot.The beer choices were extensive and the wine list, good. You could do flights for either. Our food was very good and we did not wait long at all. The prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this place, it had a very laid back vibe but you could dress up or down and be comfortable here.
Terrible experience! The hostess sat us at one of the smallest, uncomfortable tables in the restaurant despite us asking for something else (and having a reservation). Walk-ins came in right behind us and got the better table. We ordered the cheese flatbread and meatballs for starters and both were "ok". The flatbread was very greasy and meatballs pretty bland. I ordered the chicken potpie as the main course and had to return it b/c it was SO greasy. It was a non-traditional version of shredded chicken and some vegetables thrown into a metal crock and then a square pastry laid on top. When I pressed my fork on the chicken, without exaggeration, at least 1/4" of yellow oil submerged. I sent it back, the manager did comp my meal but I was so grossed out there was no way I wanted to eat anything else from there. We'll NEVER eat there again.
Really disappointed in declining quality of food, service, restaurant as a whole. Used to be a neighborhood favorite but after a couple bad experiences (a mix of bad service-forgotten and mixed up drink orders, and bad food-incredibly dry fried chicken and burned biscuits, among other things) we have been avoiding it for a few months. Gave it another chance and were surprised to find it's gotten even worse. The design used to be cute but now it's shabby -- the booth we sat in had ripped up upholstery on both sides. Service was not great - waitress forgot water and we had to ask several times for items that didn't show up, things I would ignore if the restaurant was busy but it was not even half full on a Saturday night. Some favorite items are now gone from the menu and those that remain have changed and not for the better. I ordered the banh mi which used to use really tender pieces of pork shoulder but now features a bbq-style pulled pork that feels like it's being reused from another part of the menu. The kid's meal looked and tasted pathetic (just a kid's hot dog but even so they didn't always use these cheap buns, the hot dog itself was only half cooked and it was served with like seven fries). We have that frequent diner card and we didn't even bother getting points for the meal because we can't imagine going back. It feels like someone stopped investing in this place and there are better places to go on Haddon.
The food was so good at Keg and Kitchen however our service was sub par. I asked for a beer taste from the bar and it took him 10 minutes to come over and tell us the keg needed to be replaced.
Also, I asked for no bacon my meal and it was covered in bacon. When he came back over, I asked him if there was bacon in it and his response was "Yeah...there probably is." Not very good customer service...
So either, the server didn't write down that I asked for no bacon or the food runners just don't look at the meal before bringing it out.
However, the food was great and the prices are decent so I will go back.
