What Insiders Are Saying
Keens is as Old New York as it gets.. Open since 1885, this steakhouse is pretty much the Museum of Natural Meat Eating History.
Once again very good and enjoyable. Only wish you have a rewards club.
Great lunch options. I go for the English cut prime rib; comes with green beans and a horseradish sauce. ($39) Try one of their fantastic desserts.
We all enjoyed our meals and the service was exceptional. All our steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature. Love the history of this restaurant too
As always, this restaurant is excellent.
This was the first time I actually tried the famous mutton chop- wow!
The only draw back was that we were seated downstairs and the noise level seemed higher than when seated upstairs, it may have been the low ceilings.
I would recommend Keen’s to anyone.
The waiter was kind, and professional offering suggestions along the way.
Wonderful meal! Porterhouse for Two was perfect! Loved the the Bibble too! Great history within the walls, if they could only speak!!
First time visit to keens, it was everything I expected & more. You felt you was taking part in a dining experience that has been presented through the ages. From the welcome you receive when you walk through the door, the waiter service, ambiance, decor & lastly the food & wine. A truly memorable evening that I would definitely like to revisit next time we visit the city.
Accommodated our need to change time of reservation last minute was great, dinner service was very good as I asked for the waiter to select my wine and he was happy and appreciative of my trust. Everything was great.
Fantastic food. We were recommended the porterhouse for 2 followed by creme brûlée by a friend. This is exactly what we ordered and we were not disappointed. The steak was fabulous and cooked and seasoned perfectly and the creme caramel the best I’ve had. All in cosy surroundings with attentive but not in your face staff. Altogether a wonderful evening.
The BEST Prime Rib in NYC!! one of the very few places to offer Oysters Rockefeller( and thet are brilliant !!). Great Attentive and informed servers!!! I has been a mainstay for me for 40+years and we’re BOTH still “ticking”!!!
The food/service/decor was great! My only complaint would be tight seating. When someone needed out of the booth side you had to move the table to accommodate that because the tables were so close.
Our waiter Robert did a great job. The food was excellent.
Excellent as always. I come to NYC three times a year and always have lunch here.
It was great. 9/10
Lamb chops, mutton chop, and filet mignon - the exquisite choices made for four dinners. The roasted market vegetables were a delicious and perfectly accompanied the filet mignon. Service was prompt and allowed time for conversation in our annual "holiday meal together" - Christmas in September for our foursome. My husband chose the classic old fashioned for his cocktail and wasn't disappointed. We also enjoyed the least expensive cabernet sauvignon on the list for all of us. Dessert was shared - Hot Fudge Sundae and four spoons. What an experience -- old club feeling and very old collection of pipes over our heads. Highly recommend!!!
Excellent meat. Well aged, tender, and flavorful without being fatty. Excellent steakhouse!
Always a wonderful experience
Great, old school steakhouse. Always good food and good service.
Best prime rib I have ever had. Great service and historic ambiance.
We tasted the famous USDA prime porterhouse. The meat is fantastic and prepared to perfection.
The service is very friendly and discreet.
Love this place. Prime rib is just absolutely amazing. Oysters, Prime Rib, Hash Brown, Creamed Spinach is our Go to. They serve these incredible carrots with what I call crack sauce. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert... hot fudge Sunday...
We arrived at 5:20p for our 5:30p reservation and were told that they "would be opening soon". We were offered the choice to wait at the host stand, or go to the bar. We went to the bar and told the host this. By 5:35p, when no one had come to collect us, I walked back to the host to ask if our table was ready. I was told that it was ready. I then walked back to the bar to tell the rest of my party and walked back again to be seated. Not cool or efficient.
Great location close to Empire State Building, amazing food. Servers are a bit snooty for my taste but I’m from Texas. I suppose typical for NYC.
Great place. Service was wonderful, staff really on top of everything.
I would highly recommend visiting
Keens was amazing. The history and the pipe collection. The steak was pot the charts good. We had the porterhouse for 2. Would highly recommend it
Best Porterhouse Ever, cooked perfectly!
Waiter was fabulous!
Will definetely return again soon!
Food was amazing but our server was definitely overworked. We waited a good 20 minutes just to get our first drink order. Then another 20-30 minutes to get our entree orders in. Regardless of the slow service, I will go back for the food. It was delicious.
We were seated in one of the smaller dining room - it was very nice and quiet compared to the main room. Overall a classic NY steakhouse. Would definitely recommend.
The staff was excellent, friendly and went out of their way to make our experience special.
Anniversary with my wife. Had a wonderful dinner with a nice table.
Incredible food with great service. Really good portion sizes for starters and sides, and the steak was outstanding. Would absolutely return to Keens if in NYC again!
we were impressed of the good service,- and that the food was just as you could expect of a well known steakhouse. Wonderful evening.
Unbelievable steak. Great service. Great story and history makes you enjoy your experience even more.
Unbeatable lamb, KEENS is #1 in NYC.
Super old school steakhouse , It's very nostalgic . Very good prime rib and affordable wine list .
Steaks were excellent, some were just huge! Thoroughly enjoyed Keen’s which was recommended by friends.... and it didn’t disappoint.
Definitely on my list for my next time in NY.
Great service. Foods are very delicious. Highly recommend !
Steaks were just perfect. Mixed veggie side was not very good and for what it was to expensive. I don't know why they don't serve local oysters...
Spectacular dinner, would definitely go again. We had the oysters and the Mutton Chop and they were both superb quality.
Went there for my daughter's birthday. Eveything was outstanding! The only tacky thing was they charged for the piece of cake.
