Every great city has its own best. Nashville’s best is Kayne Prime.
Our reservation was for 8:15 and we weren't seated until around 8:40. We almost missed our next event because of the late seating. The food was good and the server was fantastic, but the "wagyu" was overly salted and somewhat cold for the price I would have preferred to be blown away with the food.
The steaks were excellent, but the side dish we ordered was just OK. We had heard great things about the cotton candy bacon appetizer, but we were very disappointed in it. In our opinion, the pork belly was overcooked and dry. We do not regret visiting Kayne Prime, but will likely not be in a hurry to dine there again.
Paid off student loan
If you are looking for a superior dinner venue to celebrate a special occasion, look no further. You would be hard pressed to exceed this experience - from the quality of the food, the service delivery, and the ambience, Kayne Prime is a 10 all day long.
As always this player delivered! My favorite thing in the whole world-popovers were delicious! Also, really enjoyed popcorn lobster appetizer and wagyu filet. It took a little longer to get seated, but they comped our appetizers without even asking. It was a great experience!
Nate was absolutely perfect. He went out of his way to check if a cut of steak really *was* 86ed without us asking. He and the other staff were prompt and kind and all of our food was stellar.
Thai was Wednesday before Valentines Day. Restaurant was full and running over. Kitchen was backed up. Waited about 45 minutes between salad and entree. Couldn’t tell the difference between the Wagu steaks and any other cut. Sat near the front door. A curtain funneled outside air directly toward my table.
Hopefully, this is just a passing issue.
Definitely THE best steak I have ever eaten, and that says a lot for someone who eats them MW! Brussel sprouts were not very good, but other sides were great. The noise level is way too loud for a romantic or quiet dinner, and the valet was stupid busy to drop off but getting out was pretty quick.
This place was awesome. If i ever visit Nashville again i will come back and eat the lobster popcorn again.
Awesome steaks. Don't miss this one and make your reservation way ahead.
Steak wasn't good at all. Very undercooked. I wasn't a fan of the sides either. Great service though!
We have always thoroughly enjoyed Kayne Prime. This time we had the Popcorn Lobster as an appetizer and it is amazing! A must try for sure. Our dinners were superb and you must try the Toasted Banana Bread for dessert.
We will be back.
It was exceptional. Always a pleasure eating there. Server was informative and sweet. Drinks and food was unique and incredible. Complimentary valet was nice too!
Excellent steak, service, and food. Nice ambiance. Would return!
have been twice great experience ! would absolutely will go again and recommend to our friends
Amazing! Best steak in Nashville. Order the risotto tater tots too!
Great food and service
SUPERB! Outstanding! Fabulous!!
Expensive and worth every nickel
The food was exceptionally good as was the service. That steak arriving on a big white plate looked kind of lonely. How about a sprig of something to make the presentation better. Sides were delicious. It was a birthday celebration and it was perfect. The warmth of your servers is to be commended.
My sister in law came to town for a few days and my wife and I wanted to take her to nice restaurant. We have lived in Nashville for almost 2 years and had heard great things about Kayne Prime. We were not disappointed at all. The food was amazing. The ambiance was perfect. We had a great view of Nashville, even though it was storming outside (It was really cool though, gave Nashville a mystic look to it). The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to all my family, friends, and colleagues.
I eat at restaurants quite frequently but it was the first time I went there. This was the best steak I ever had in my 17-years living here. This is a huge place but we were seated in a very quiet room. We were celebrating a birthday and everything was perfect. It is not cheap, but I guess that you get what you pay for. I highly recommend it
Loved our first visit! Most of our food choices were superb, including the cotton candy bacon, black kale salad, and Wagyu steaks. Our sides of brussels and mashed potatoes were good companions but not stand-outs, and we wished the French-press coffee served more than 2 small cups. We definitely will be back to try more and enjoy the server’s wine recommendations again!
Absolutely amazing food and service ! My girlfriend rarely gets excited about food but has not stopped talking about how wonderful it was especially the crepe brûlée cream corn !
We made a reservation for 4 for a friends birthday and were sat by the bar. It was very loud and we were unable to really talk and enjoy dinner. The service was very slow. I have been before and say a much quieter table in the back and enjoyed the experience a lot more.
Service was very slow and we were seated in an area like a corridor. Our first visit, and rather underwhelmed. We were at the table 30 minutes before we got the starters.
The restaurant itself was nicely appointed and the wait staff was friendly and mostly attentive.
The fair rating on the food and wait staff are due to the way our steaks came out. I ordered a Wagyu sirloin medium rare. The steak was a nice cut and was cooked properly but came out cold. My wife ordered the wagyu filet medium well. It came out well done, dark brown all the way through and was pretty dry. Our sides were the root vegetables which were not quite cooked long enough and the potatoes au gratin which were very good.
We also had the shishito pepper and bacon appetizers which were both enjoyable but nothing out of the ordinary. We finished off with a delicious creme brûlée dessert and both enjoyed wine with dinner.
All in all not a bad experience but for a $300+ dinner bill with tip not an experience we will be repeating. I would have expected much better attention to detail at this price tag.
Best dinner service we have ever had. The personal touch and exceptional service carried from the hostess, to the bar, to the table. The wagyu filet was perfectly cooked and unbelievably delicious. I can't wait to go back!
We visited Nashville and planned a birthday celebration for 8 people. The service was excellent and all the food was delicious. A great night for everyone!
Terribly expensive but although a high quality meal not an outstanding meal. The kitchen mixed the temperature of our steaks so that was distressing. The meat quality was obvious and the marrow and Shishido peppers were remarkable. Very attentive and good waiter. Great bar.
This is a expense report kind of restaurant and lacked the kind of intimacy for a date restaurant.
Came in from Michigan and were passing through for a special occasion. Wanted to go there based on a previous dinner and it definitely lived up to the hype my husband told me about. Great food, and top notch service.
Occasional business traveler to Nashville and haven’t been to Kayne in about a year. We wanted some steaks and made a reservation. Overall the food was ok. 2 of us ordered a sampling of the menu including A5 and some of their Wagu. Total cost was ~500 including tip and some wine, but it felt like a ~200 meal. Biggest let done was the A5 which was prepared with a dry rub ruining the flavor and texture of the meat/cut.
Outstanding food! Exceptional pork belly with floss, wines very very good ... enjoyed every dish. Special touches for our anniversary of a sweet basil packer and a couple of samplers of their dessert. Will be back to try more of the exceptional menu! Good to know it’s seasonal.
Great service and excellent food. The bourbon selection was pretty solid as well.
Great food and service. One of the very few places I will order a steak as I truly believe mine are better. Kayne Prime however always exceeds expectations. If you’re in Nashville you should definitely give it a try.
Our steaks and potatoes aligot were amazing; however, we did not care for the highly recommended house made bacon. The service was incredible, and the ambience was perfect for date night.
Have been here many times, and have told our friends.
The Lobster Popcorn, Brussels Sprouts however, it was still delicious after going back on the grill.
I ordered the New York Strip and I had to send it back because it was not cooked - after sending it back it was very tough to chew and very dry. The quality of steak was more like you would receive at a low priced chain. Very disappointed especially since I was celebrating a special occasion. We have been to other high end restaurants here in Nashville while we were on vacation and had wonderful experiences with both wait staff and food. Very overpriced for quality of food.
The food and service was outstanding !!!
