Kayne Prime Ratings and Reviews
Food was amazing. Received phone call about dress code. Not needed we dress very formal. However staff was in jeans and many customers as well. Ordered bottle of Malbec. Informed they were out and next Malbec they had was $30 more which we ordered ! Then ordered Ribeye Cap and waiter cake back and informed they were out of it. It was 7:30pm. So the next Ribeye steak they had was $40 more and the only other option for a person that likes Ribeye not filet or strips! So that turned our meal into $70 more dollars. When we talked to waiter she came back and said they were bringing Banana Bread because of the issues! We did not want banana bread. A steakhouse which is very expensive should not run out of steak at 7:30. They should have given us the wine they didn't have and the steak they didn't have at the price of one we ordered! Poor customer service! Too bad because food was amazing but doubt we would return because of not regarding the Customer!!
My wife and I went to Kayne to celebrate her birthday. Our servers, Danielle and Patrick, were fantastic. They were more like friends than servers. The food was equally fantastic. We started with the bacon and tuna. Both were delicious. We then shared a bone-in wagyu chop that was easily the best steak we’ve ever had. It had a wonderful flavor and was very tender. We’ll definitely be back special occasion or not.
We have been to Kayne Prime numerous times. This last time was a little off. Crowd was very light for Saturday night so strange vibe. Food tasted good but temperatures weren’t right. We had shishito pepper appetizer and was a little undercooked. Au gratin potatoes weren’t hot and cheese had crusted over on top vs being melted. Popovers weren’t hot. My strip steak was good; my wife’s filet was under seasoned. Not what we’ve come to expect from Kayne.
This was my second visit, and boy was I shocked. The first time which was about 8 months ago was amazing. It was the reason I wanted to go back for my birthday. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. Popcorn lobster and the house made bacon were delicious. The salad was not as good as the wedge from Outback Steakhouse...they talked me into the wagyu strip, it was very tough and did not hold a candle to the wagyu filet I had the first visit. They did take the charge off for the steak, however it did put a bad taste as to going there again. The service was great, table setting and atmosphere very nice. For the money, I will stick with Ruth's Chris.
Service was great, very nice touch that the host and all the staff that talked to us passed information on to continue the conversation. It made the experience very personal. This is the first time I have experienced this and I have eaten in a lot of nice places.
Reserved here for a birthday, service was great, the steak was good, the sides were also good and I like how the sides are tapas style but you do have to get them separate from your main course, I was a little upset;we were expecting a quieter evening but they sat us by the bar and it was surprisingly loud, for the price that you pay for the experience and the flavors I would expect more, overall the experience was lacking, if you are looking for the best place I’d probably recommend Jimmy Kelly’s over Kayne as I think the steak is better, the atmosphere is more personal and quiet, I believe Kaynes would be a better option for a business meeting or event.
What an incredible place! Aaron and Ellen were our team and they were incredible! The Wygu beef was off the charts! Oh and you must start with the bacon appetizer! It’s beyond fantastic!!!!!! We also had a dessert that was a play on the S’more- so delicious! You could tell it was made with love!!
Contemporary and relatively new steakhouse in the hot rebuild area of Nashville known as the Gulch. Restaurant owner has three good restaurants in same area. Staff was trained very well, very polite, but not seasoned steak house servers where you feel that personal level of attention and detail. For the prices, white table cloth dining is expected vs a folded napkin. Food was very good but not up to standards of steakhouses in Atlanta, Charlotte, etc., it’s good, but considering prices ($58 for a bone in filet), more is expected. Sides were very weak.... mac and cheese was a coagulated cheesy tired dish, Kennebec fries looked and tasted like they came from McDonalds.. obviously frozen, not a steakhouse fry. We didn’t order desert because prices were too stiff and didn’t seem to go well with a steakhouse dinner. They need work here.
The appetizers were excellent .
Unfortunately I ordered the 6oz wagu filet mignon med-rare and they over cooked it! They took my steak away to make another but by the time I got it everyone was done eating. I had them box it to be nice but since I am traveling it ended up in the trash at the hotel. I don't know if it was made correctly the second time or not? The right thing would have been to take it off my bill but they did not. I will not take any other clients there I was very disappointed with the food and the management.
Went to Kayne Prime for dinner on Saturday night. Our waitress was really upbeat and friendly. She made us feel welcomed to the restaurant. The food was amazing. The sides blew our minds - corn (wow) and potatoes au gratin (so yum!). My husband had a filet and I had a lobster tail. Awesome! We've been to a lot of steak places and this food blew us away.
The one thing that I'd comment on as it was a let down to us was our seat. The restaurant was super cool and had some very dimly light and private rooms/seats. We, unfortunately, sat in a room that did not feel like it was part of the steak house. We wish we would have spoken up asked to be moved. Our room was not dimly lit, had children and then a trio of young men that had clearly been drinking. Maybe we were not VIP enough for the nice parts of the place :(
