    One of my favorite restaurants I've ever eaten at. I got the veggie cuban and it was fantastic! Service was amazing and the ambiance was extremely lively. Despite being a busy Friday night, service was very fast.

    We always enjoy dining here and this was no exception. We enjoyed beer and mojitos as well as the terrific bean dip appetizer. I then had tropical paella and my companion had the steak Cuban sandwich. Everything was excellent. We saved room to share the coconut creme brûlée.

    I had 3 students with me who had never been to Kaya before - we were celebrating an evening concert, and their recent theater callback success. Our server Heather was outstanding in her helpfulness and friendliness - she even successfully asked the kitchen to put together a plate of Jamaican jerk wings even though they weren't on the menu that night. The three students raved about their Kaya experience the remainder of the night - even after the concert we attended afterwards. You will have three new returning customers now - especially for special events. (The student who was most impressed knows the restaurant world well - his father was GM of the Springfield Grill in Mars for several years.)

    Food was decent, not flavorful enough considering the cuisine. The server was attentive and the drinks were good. Low score do to hostess being un accommodating and snarky. Probably won’t be back for a while in hopes she isn’t there anymore.

    The Mexican street corn soup was amazing. Hard to beat the black bean dip with Kaya chips too. Had my usual Cuban sandwich and sweet potato fries with chipotle aioli. Incredible as always.

    We used to love this place…we still really like the food and the service is always good….but they amped up the music and seem to play annoying a great deal of big bass, repetitive, songs that intrude on one’s ability to have a conversation. We still go here…just less than we previously had

    Three diners, one ordered flank steak, two ordered fried chicken sandwiches. We shared the conch fritters. The conch fritters were tasty but did not contain much conch. The flank steak was very good. The fried chicken was overdone with the breading black instead of brown.

    We dine here mostly after Steeler games. Always a great meal. Service is good and always made to feel welcome. I eat vegan so I appreciate the choices I have. They are always outstanding.

    This is our go-to for special occasions or taking out of town guests somewhere delicious and fun. We had a great time as usual and the food didn't disappoint! We were celebrating our Anniversary and the server very sweetly gave us champagne to toast!

    Great food, humble and good people serving but they should stop sticking people next to the toilet to sit and eat. Toilet, kitchen enterence and wind draft all three worked wonders on the table they sat us on,,, food was great, I hadn’t slept in 24 hrs, ate drank and left. Sever was very pleasant.

    Service staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Chipotle Tomato Bisque, which was way too acidic and not well balanced. The Tropical Paella was flavorful but seemed to have a bit of an identity crisis (chicken, chorizo, scallops, shrimp, and mussels - all cooked nicely though). The ambiance was neat, but the music was a little too loud. Overall not bad, but nothing that makes me want to come back.

    We really enjoyed our dinner at Kaya. We shared the conch fritters as an appetizer, my wife had the shrimp pelau, I had the tropical paella, and my daughter had the chipotle tomato bisque. They were all excellent. The paella was more tomato-y than the Spanish or Portuguese versions, presumably because of the sofrito, so it's different from the European classic. But still delicious. My wife said that the shrimp pelau was one of the best dishes she's ever had. The cocktails were also great. I had the banana rum old fashioned before dinner and enjoyed the smoked pina colada after dinner. The blend in the pina colada was perfect, with the mezcal adding a slightly smoky taste but without being overpowering. It still has the traditional pina colada flavor. Great meal. We'll be back.
