5 out of 5 as far as "first restaurant I've gone to in 15 months"
I visited from Texas. It was okay. Just okay.
Food was exceptional! The Rainbow Salad with grilled shrimp was fantastic! Conch Fritters wonderful and the dessert : Faquito was a delcious delight!!
We love kaya! The food is always delicious! We had wonderful take-out during Covid and we couldn’t wait to dine in when the time was right. We went for my husband’s birthday and it was delicious. The service was excellent, the atmosphere is fun and it’s always a good time!
We always have delicious food and great service at Kaya!
The grilled fish (tilapia) tacos were fabulous! Have enjoyed dining here for years and the creative cocktails are the perfect compliment 👌
Great restaurant with quality food. Highly recommend the rainbow salad with salmon—with so many interesting ingredients this salad is a cut above the rest! Everything is very fresh and the menu items all have a unique flair. The cocktails were very tasty, almost went down too easy! And the desserts were fantastic. Yum!
Great place, staff and food, I think that says it all
Service was terrible.
outstanding service, out door dining, average food ,located in the heart of the " strip district" close to down town , Lawrenceville.
Great waitstaff, well educated on menu and drinks. Great seating based on Covid restrictions.
Server was great and attentive. Food was wonderful and memorable. Will return for sure!!!
One of Pittsburgh's best. We especially recommend the Chile Relleno and house margarita!
Our Server Adam was great! Very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. Drinks were fantastic! Would definitely come back.
Good food, drinks, atmosphere. Service was a bit off on this visit, not very attentive.
Great service and delicious food! Kaya is a bit more pricey than other restaurants I usually go to but it’s soooo worth it. Everything I get there, whether I’m trying something new or having my usual, is delicious!
Never knew they served brunch and it was delicious!
Huevos rancheros - terrific and beautifully plated with a little pineapple, bacon, sweet potatoes and beans.
This was our first visit to this restaurant. My wife had salmon and I had the rainbow salad with jerk chicken added!
Food was great and the service was great!
The drinks were extremely overpriced for how small they are that’s the only disappointing part of the visit.
love kaya's food. i think the food was SPOT ON, but the weird curtain meant to distance me from next table felt a bit insufficient- given how close that table is - i'd suggest doing something more permanent to give folks piece of mind....
We are regulars at Kaya for their Jerk Chicken entree, but this was our first visit for brunch and it will not be our last. The chicken and waffles were amazing. The waffle was light and crispy, topped with pieces of savory bacon and Kaya's delicious boneless fried chicken - topped with tabasco butter and pure maple syrup. The portion size was ideal for a brunch. Highly recommend!
Had Easter Bruch at Kaya and sat outside which was awesome on a great day. The food and service was top notch as it always is at Kaya. Look forward to many more visits
Food took a long time, and we felt rushed towards the end of our dinner. Other than that, good time.
The steak Cuban sandwich was awesome.
We celebrated our son’s birthday at Kaya. It was an excellent choice. We got a parking spot about 1/2 block away and since we were early we were able to do a little shopping prior to our reservation. Once we got to the restaurant we were greeted by a smiling face and directed to our table. The service was great and the food was even better. Although I’m not a fan of a burger (Kaya Burger) that has a lot of toppings I ate every bit of it. I’d highly recommend this restaurant. We will return.
The waitress could not have given more of a "order and get out" vibe.
Great food and drinks.
My daughter and I enjoyed the meal. Very good, but not delicious. The crispy tofu appetizer was absolutely wonderful Her vegan paella was too salty, while my salad was bland. By no means deal breakers- they were beautiful and colorful. Full of life, Everything was very fresh and delightful to look at. Service was great. Would def return.
Great food. Felt incredibly comfortable sitting outside and how they managed the entire dining process with covid
Server was openly quarreling with the manager, her disposition was quite off during the meal. Food was “eh”. On bright wide it was a gorgeous day and outside seating was great.
Well paced service, unobtrusive, and friendly hospitality. Burrata was well balanced , visually and texturally.
Conch fritters slightly overcooked. Unable to locate waste basket in men’s room.
Great food and service! Enjoyed our experience. Flavourful and delicious appetisers and entree’s. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic food & cocktails! Will definitely be back!
We had a reservation for 6:30pm and arrived a bit early. They sat us very quickly which was great. However, it took a while for the waitress to give us our water and even longer to get our first round of drinks. The table next to us got their drinks very quickly as a hostess had assisted them, instead of waiting for the waitress. This was a bit frustrating as we had to wait a while. Once our orders were in, the food arrived quickly and was
good. We will definitely go back.
Excellent restaurant. We sat outside, and their heaters are actually installed above you, so it feels like the sun's warmth. I was very pleasantly surprised and think that's a great idea! Paella was so good it's worth describing in expletives which I will not do. Drinks were strong but went down easy. No complaints at all.
The appetizers were tasty & so were the chicken and waffles. Steak Cuban wasn’t very good at all, bread was hard and the meat was a bit cold. Drinks were good, but pretty pricey. Nice atmosphere though!
Kaya was a perfect spot for date night! We were sat a tad later than our reservation (~10 minutes) but the host allowed us to sit at the bar while we waited for our table. Our server (Ryan?) was attentive and the food was delicious!
Really really bad service. Food isn’t as good as it was 10 years ago, but it’s still decent.
Had to wait with our reservation
The food was sooo good. The servers were all super nice and the drinks were perfect. Can't wait to come back
I've been coming here since they opened back in the 90's. Kaya has of course changed and evolved as the years passed and chefs have come and gone. But its always been a friendly, welcoming space with tasty island-inflected food, one of my after work mainstays. Irey!
