Fun! Great atmosphere great service and vegan gf options
Kaya was great as always plus Pizza Boy IPA on tap !!! Woohoo!
Kaya still holds a special place among Pittsburgh restaurants. My chief complaint is that the brunch seems to be endless on Sundays. At what time is it finally over and one can get a lunch menu???
Great food as always
We went to try out the vegetarian prix fix dinner and WOW was it amazing. You're not going to have a bad meal at Kaya but this was extraordinary. We can't wait until the next one!!
Nice night out with boyfriend, great for happy hour 1/2 price cocktails 4:30-6:30P m-f
Excellent service accompanied by amazing food in a chill vibe environment
We had many diet restrictions but Kaya met them all. So grateful
Excellent drinks and starters, vegetarian entrees were good but not great.
Our favorite spot in Pittsburgh for great food, unique mixed drinks, and friendly service.
It was a perfect environment for a mother and son lunch! Atmosphere was great, we both really enjoyed our food, comfortable setting, service very thoughtful, and while there was background conversations, we definitely felt welcomed and will happily return.
The food was way too spicy and menu didn’t note that.
The kids chicken was spicy for kids. I was surprised they would make it that way on the kids menu. My fish tacos were overdone, the fish was hard, with too much pepper and super dry. The plantain nachos were very good, expected better when the food came. The jerk chicken dish was extremely dry as well.
Met a friend for dinner. Happy Hour is pretty sweet - 1/2 off all drinks! We enjoyed the cilantro, lime hummus and crudité, and the field greens salad with grilled salmon - both were delicious and light. I’ve been dining at kaya for years and have never had a bad experience.
The entrees and cocktails were excellent. The poke bowl was my favourite!
The cilantro dip that they serve with the wings were a little lacklustre compared to my last visit here
The food was amazing, the service was great and the ambiance was wonderful. Will go back!
Kaya is my Favorite Big Burritto spot but I love them all-- Kaya happens to be my birthday place cause I love the bread pudding :)
The food was good. The waitress didn’t right down my order and had to come back and ask questions and then I received a dish that I did not order.
We always have a lovely time at Kaya; the food is consistently good and the service is always well paced and friendly. Their fish tacos are some of the best I’ve ever had. It holds a special place in our hearts as the place we had dinner the night we got engaged, and it is always our go-to for a relaxing but special night out.
It pains me to write this as Kaya is one of our favorite spots consistently to dine and I'm hoping our recent experience isn't the start of a trend. We started off great with the jerked pork and plaintain nachos which were quite good and a couple cocktails to accompany. My husband ordered the tropical paella for his main. When it arrived he noticed 3 of the mussel shells had not opened, which made him a little anxious about eating the dish and he left more than half. I ordered the rainbow salad with flank steak which I wasn't able to cut well with my knife and had to abandon attempting to eat as it was too tough to chew. Fortunately the meal concluded with the chocolate banana bread pudding which we both enjoyed. Our waiter was incredibly understanding and tried to make things right which we appreciated. Not what we expect when we go to Kaya, we've been enjoying it for over 20 years now and it has always been consistently one of our favorites. Would still recommend though I hope I'm not let down.
This place was fantastic! I had the tropical paella and my girlfriend the salmon. They were both absolutely delicious. Great drinks too. We will definitely be back!
Great food. Reasonable price. Great service. Noise a bit too high. Were there on a Wednesday evening. If there on Friday or Saturday evening, I'm sure noise level would be much too loud.
Our waiter was awesome and gave great recommendations.
Food was mediocre. I recall it being better in the past.
We have been going to Kaya for about 30 years - also great service, friendly atmosphere, and good food. Best place in the city to take a vegetarian.
I met up with a friend for happy hour we had a very nice time the atmosphere was chill and laid-back we have a jerk chicken wings and mixed cocktails during happy hour I would definitely come here again
The food was delicious, seasoned to perfection. It was a perfect place to impress clients. Noise level was great for conversation. Decor was eclectic and service was good.
All was great! Nicely done Caribbean theme
Delicious food and cocktails. Loved the variety of options including vegetarian. Visiting from out of town but would totally recommend.
Great time as usual!
The service was good and the restaurant was nicely laid out to not feel crowded or noisy. The tropical paella was a big quantity, had lots of seafood and was a great flavor combination.
The seasonal cocktails at Kaya are delicious, fun and always more tart than sweet - kudos to the bartenders! Service was above average and food was well prepared and good value. We enjoyed the "Fried Chicken" night on our last visit.
After loving the monthly vegetarian tasting meals for many years, we have been disappointed in our two vegetarian meals with the new chef, specifically in the lack of real sophistication in flavors and presentation.
The Rainbow salad is hands down the best salad I’ve ever had. Beautifully decorated, nice laid back vibe.
Some of our orders were too Spivey for us to eat. Our server did try to accommodate us. The kitchen was a bit slow.
Our server was outstanding!!
Great service. Seasonal cocktails were so good. Chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had. The waffle fries are amazing!
Table was wobbly, but waitress fixed it without us having to ask. Fish in fish taco seemed old and tough.
Kaya never disappoints. Another great meal last night with Chaz, our favorite server, and outside seating on a beautiful warm evening.
I had high expectations. The food was just barely ok
