Kauai Pasta Kauai Ratings and Reviews
Awesome tasting house meat sauce - best I have had in a long time... My food could have been hotter - sent it back once and it was still only a bit hotter than warm, however, the waitress told us they comped that meal - a pleasant surprise. Service was good and the food was great - great Caesar salad as well and our waitress also removed a glass of wine from our bill that I disliked... Can't beat that!!! We'll be back!!
This is my first time to the Kapaa location. I didnt know the menus were different. Our server was Sy, he was excellent in following up with us and he provided such great service! The only downside is the parking is quite tight. A couple of cars had taken the handicap stalls with no handicap passes, so i ended up in an access aisle (i have a pass). So you just need to go early or anticipate no parking.
Food quality was not as good this time. Steak was tough. Large party next to us was finished eating and kids screaming and running around, dishes falling on floor.. Staff didn’t do anything to help. Noise level too loud - couldn’t have a conversation with my family. Very Disappointed. Did not feel like we got what we paid for
The food was very good and plentiful. However, the staff did not make an effort to make us feel like we were guests in their "house". In addition, our waitress did not make an effort to engage and connect with us as guests. At the end of our dining, we walked through the front area and there were three hostesses there and not even one of them said mahalo or good buy. In summary: The dishes was plentiful but the staff lacks customer service training needed to keep customers coming back.
Food was fine. Decent chicken parm but overpriced. Service was efficient but lackluster; server not really friendly and had no personality at all. Lights way too bright in dining room. We made a note in our reservation that is was our honeymoon and there was no acknowledgment, and nothing special done for our last meal in Kauai.
Awesome food and service, as family traditions we celebrate birthdays at favorite restaurants
we come to enjoy a simple but pleasant pasta dinner. Also not to forget the awesome wait staff at the restaurant .......... Would definitely recommend to other friends and guests to try it ..
I took a client of mine out for lunch and it was late, and they were STILL SERVING which is wonderful! We had delicious food and a nice conversation.
I was especially thrilled with the COLD A/C, since it was so hot and humid outside, we were delirious.
Thanks Kauai Pasta for being open.!
food was OK. Temperature in the restaurant varied. First room was very nice but feels crowded. Middle room had more space but was a little cool. Back room - bar was very cold. Not enjoyable for eating. The menu is standard Italian and the special ravioli sounded great. The chef overdid tinkering with the entree and the candied walnuts, bacon, burnt butter sauce did not work together. The ravioli was undercooked as was my wife Greek pasta.
Due to the large size of our party, we got stuck with the loud drunks & screaming babies. It was unfortunate that they accepted multiple large parties at the same time, the kitchen just couldn't handle, nor could our wait staff. Waited 30 min between salad & main meal....it's just lasagna & pizza.
Had reservation, and was seated right away. For a busy resort town, I was pleasantly surprised the restaurant was not over run and spilling waiting people outside. Food was great, had baked brie and calamari appetizers, asparagus Au-gratin side to share, rib eye special - would have given 5 stars except the asparagus was not cooked/prepped correctly - some bites were fibrous and inedible. Rest of family had Margherita pizzas, which they said they liked. Drinks were unique and tasty - Thai Pineapple martini was creative and a new mix of flavors I had not tasted before - I got the last of it unfortunately, strange to run out so early in the evening, I heard others asking for it. The Elderberry & Sage was also creative an new, only downfall was for the price, there should have been more than a couple of sips of liquor and much less ice. Server Rebeca was the only server we could see. She did a great job and answered every question regardless of how busy she was. Not much atmosphere or ambiance, but we were hungry and there to eat. 3 adults, 1 child, $200 and we enjoyed it.
Food was excellent, as always. Our table was ready promptly when our party of five arrived at our 7:15 reservation time. Hostess was most accommodating in moving us to a different room, at our request, because the first table/room was too chilly for us.
Knowledgeable server (Rebecca) , good service.
Less than a mile from our hotel. Great meal. Linguine & clams is always a go to for me. This one was absolutely different than the "brothy" ones I'm use to and it was absolutely delicious. Very light creamy base. Plenty of clams. Only reason food didn't get a "5" was: how does a restaurant that claims homemade Cesar dressing , not have anchovies to serve with the salad?
Arugula salad with warm goat cheese was very good.
We arrived before our reservation and was seated right away. The place was not full, only 1 other table was occupied. We waited 1 hour and ten minutes for the food! I ordered the chicken Parmesan, which came out Luke warm. I guess it took that long to defrost it! And the pesto pasta that came with it was cold! Terrible! Do not go here!
We were craving a good Italian meal and found it here. The pesto chicken was fantastic. I liked that it was made with Macadamia Nuts instead of the traditional pine nuts I'm used to. I also really liked that that it was served over fettuccine alfredo. The pasta was al dente and it was nice to blend the pesto with the alfredo sauce for a few bites.
My husband had the lasagna which he enjoyed as well.
Our only complaint is that we were seated in the back lounge area where two loud females at the bar carried on throughout our meal. There was also a screaming child in the front dining room so I think we got the better of the two.
Would definitely come back on future trips and recommend to anyone looking to satisfy their craving for Italian.
