View Private Dining DetailsKatsuya is a good restaurant but rather pricey given the quality of the food. If you’re already in South Beach, it’s worth a visit. However, I am unlikely to return. Nothing special.
Fantástica comida y Servicio totalmente recomendable.
It was the best !!!!!! Shoutout to the manager BUBAAAA
My mom said if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing
They had a great choice of fresh sushi the live clams & live scallops were fantastic.
Food wasn’t amazing, had to wait really long
Katsuya is a trendy restaurant with excellent customer service. They have an eccentric Asian fusion menu, which is executed to perfection. We will be back!
If I could leave 0 I would. A restaurant that thinks it’s the best but quite frankly there’s other sushi restaurants far superior
Sushi very fresh. Wagyu beef and foie gras excellent taste and value and portion size. Ambience meh. Price reasonable and our waitress was good. Not easy to find tucked inside sls hotel. Would def go back for wagyu and sushi.
Great ambience. Nice selection of sushi and cooked foods. Robata beef brussel sprouts baked crab hand rolls and excellent cod. Great waiter and recommendations in pretty sls location
Crab roll and rock shrimp were awesome!
We were 5 and they gave us a very small table. The restaurant was empty. 10 min to bring the menu
Great Food
Excelente !
The servers have no personalities and seem unhappy! No one smiles there. Very unfriendly waitstaff and therefore, ruined the experience. Plus horrible noise level and poor service time
Excellent food. Been here before. But this time the music was extremly loud. Couldnt have a conversation over the table.
Spring Break with our kids!
I had been looking forward to eating at Katsuya and I have to say that I was disappointed. The food was amazing - interesting and so tasty. My sincere compliments to the kitchen. However, our service was terrible. Several times I had to look for our waiter and twice, the host had to help us. Miami has a mandatory service charge of 18% for waitstaff and this is one meal I wished I didn’t have to pay it.
This restaurant is highly overrated. Sushi at best average, grilled dishes gloppy with unremarkable bbq sauce, and wait staff distracted. Way past it’s prime
The decor was nice and so was the server. But the food was overpriced and mediocre. I would not go back. It was not worth it.
We oredfred the 5-course tasting and the food was amazing. We had cerviche, an assortment of 3 appetizers, a plate with a piece each of cooked fish, beef, shrimp and zucchini, a sample of 4 sushi, and 2 desserts. We also ordered some sushi a la carte.
Our server Erin was outstanding great job.
This is a great spot for a fun girls' dinner. We had a fantastic server who made great recommendations and provided just the right amount of attention. The food was excellent, will definitely go again.
I found the food was just marginal for the high ratings that I read. I would not suggest Katsuya ...I’m sure there are better sushi restaurants in Miami
Didn’t like this place. Won’t recommend
The food, ambiance and service was amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Delicious food Parking $25. Small portions. They sat two infant children and two adults at a table next to us when there were many empty tables. Try to squeeze too many people in the room
The food and cocktails here are definitely delicious! Service is generally good but they do rush you a bit. The only major dissappintment is that most of the tables (mostly 2-tops) are situated mere inches from each other so that even if you are on a date with one other person, it’s really like you’re sitting at a table with 5 strangers. Zero points for intimacy/conversation.
Very good food and service. Highly overpriced food and especially drinks which are watered down..
Good place above the average.
The highlight it’s the experience in the SLS, and have a drink at the bar of the hotel.
Good food. Service wasn’t that great.
Amazing food, vibe, and service, especially for a big group of younger and more sociable people looking for something in the scene. Despite being extremely pricey and the typical Miami issue of not being able to do individual checks for groups (literally the worst, but only bad thing I can say), the quality and environment is worth it.
Terrible service, waiter was forgetful. Food was mediocre. Ordered the foie gras, and it was the size of a dime.
Love Katsuya and love the food. But !!! The music is outrageously bad and really ruined the mood of a nice date night. I mean come on- why are we listening to Savage Garden, Oasis, and Sugar Ray, at a sexy dimly-lit restaurant where you will spend $400 on dinner? Apparently it’s a regular thing with the 90s music at Katsuya. I couldn’t wait to leave and find a better vibe.
The food was fresh, for the price it was expensive. In terms of our seat, it was cramped. I wouldn’t give this a five star restaurant. It was a good time but nothing over the top.
this
is a very expensive restaurant but you are treated like in a diner- i did not finish the second course and she put the bill
on the table?!?!
353 dollars by the way...
Delicious, creative sushi and other Japanese dishes. Really flavorful. Service was impeccable.
Very good waiter with food suggestions for my pescciiarian girlfriend. 10/10 would recommend to a friend as Miami’s top sushi place
Worst waiter ever. The food is outstanding!
Food is pretty good. Not a real robata. Service is spotty. Hotel lobby entrance shabby and not sheik.
