Service was great and food was amazing!
Katsuya serves great food. The service is attentive without being overbearing. And, it has a fun vibe!
Amazing Food! Service and food were excellent! We will be back!
Heavenly. The decor is nothing to write home about but the food had me dancing in my seat it was so yummy. The miso cake was phenomenal.
Food was very good and the service was excellent. The tables for 2 are a little close so not a good place for intimate conversations.
Amazing food and service!
We had a very enjoyable meal here!
We ordered the Omakase. It is a bit pricey but I think it is of good value.
Everything tasted good.
Will come back here.
Great food and great atmosphere!
The waiter J.C. was great and extremely knowledgeable. The food is high end with tremendous flavor but executive chef plates that are shareable. It’s pricey but worth the experience and I would go if you’re looking for an amazing experience with amazing food. Anniversary ways our occasion.
The service was impeccable here, and the food was amazing. The Wagyu fried rice might have been the best fried rice we have ever had!
Excellent food and Alberto was an amazing server. We enjoyed our evening!
Very good food, but very very very poor service
The food was amazing! The service was even better, our server was such a great server. The manager was an amazing person as well giving us his undivided attention. Definitely an amazing experience and we will for sure come back.
The food was not exciting, deep fried shrimp with a sauce poured over is not my idea of fine dining. This was for the Miami spice menu. The restaurant is getting tired as well, although the staff were friendly, wine list was a bit stuffy too. Too many selections over $100 and not enough under that number. We all don't want to drink Chateau Haut-Brion.
Dear RobertR, Thank you for your feedback. Our Miami Spice menu offers a variety of dishes, including vegan options. The rock shrimp two ways (served traditional style as well as with a Honey Aioli) is only available on the Spice menu. I'm surprised to see you did not enjoy the wine list, we have glasses starting at $13 and go to bottles for $1500. Please come back and try us again, I would be happy to assist in your next experience. All the Best, Robert Micheli - General Manger
Excellent, proactive service
Very Friendly and Professional Staff .
Food Fresh, Tasty and Visually Exciting.
I had a wonderful experience! David helped me suggesting the perfect sake for chef’s menu that was delicious! Definitely coming back!
Muy rico. El arroz salteado con champignones fue el mejor que probe en mi vida! El sushi es un sushi tradicional, que estaba muy bueno. Me encanto el lugar, el ambiente. Lo super recomiendo!
Unremarkable mediocre sushi sold at astronomical prices. Unless I am plagued with a horrible case of amnesia. I won’t make the mistake of dining here again.
Great experience, great food. We had Mike as our waiter who was superb. Great evening and would go again.
Super impressed but super hidden! You walk they the hotel but pass like 3 other restaurants along the way. Super trendy, but the food was mouth-watering delicious! The salmon belly with truffle literally melted in your mouth. The way gi beef, octopus, chicken and trout all superb. The asparagus was good. My husband liked the zucchini which was the only thing I didn’t care for. Can’t wait to come back here next time visiting Miami! Highly recommend.
Food was amazing. Our group of 9 ordered a lot of things to share and some rolls for ourselves. We ate everything and didn’t have one complaint about anything we ordered. So so good!
Consistent and great service. Always a good experience.
Place itself is gorgeous. Service is great but food is not the best . For the price that we paid...Fried rice with beef was over cooked with literally 4 tiny cubes of beef . My daughter didn’t like her salmon roll and baked crab rolls had wayy too much mayo . Everyone’s stomachs were hurting all night . Probably going to choose another Japanese place next time
Dear Pizzagirl, I do apologize you did not enjoy your experience. The beef you had in the fried rice was A5 and unfortunately constitutes the price. We do have other options of fried rice should you like to come back and try something different. Please feel free to contact me directly should you like to experience Katsuya South Beach again. All the Best, Robert Micheli - General Manager - Robert.Micheli@sbe
It was excellent food but service not amazing.
We have been coming to katsuya since the restaurant opened, but like most restaurants in Miami, they now with tax and tip mark the wine up by 500%
This is just to much of a mark up.
Dear Andy, thank you for being a repeat guest and hope to have you back. If you would like to contact me directly I would be happy to review your check as the markup mentioned seems high. Yes, listed on all pages of the menu we add an 18% service fee on all check, typical in Miami Beach Hotels. Again, I do hope to have you back at Katsuya South Beach, should you need any assistance with a reservation please contact me directly. Best, Robert Micheli - General Manger - Robert.Micheli@sbe
Exceptional quality sushi - the sushi set platter was a show-stopper!
The meal was over priced not what was suggested on open table. More like over 100 dollars per person without drinks or desserts.
The server was constantly trying to up sell to the point of being annoying. We all eat around the world at very nice places. This was just ok
Very expensive and food wasn’t exceptional.
Wonderful place. Great food!
El Restaurant hace 2 años eres muy bueno , decayó mucho El roll de sushi se desarma el wagyu no vale la pena l a atención mediocre , deberá actualizarse o desaparece
Our service provider was very pushy, repeatedly telling us we ‘just had’ to get the Omakase menu even though we had two picky teenagers with us. When we didn’t bite, he told us everything on the menu we should get without ever asking what we liked. Don’t get me wrong, the food is great and I do enjoy this restaurant (we have come here every time we visit Miami) but it’s markedly overpriced and the pushiness tonight was over the top. For 4 of us, the bill was almost $600 which was a big surprise when the bill came. We got upsold on everything (ordered edemame and got the large without knowing there were two options, 4 pieces of nigiri showed up when we only ordered 2...for example). After seeing the bill, he offered us ‘free’ dessert then never spoke to us again - another team member had to come ask what we were waiting on almost 30 minutes later. Unfortunately, our experience was strongly and negatively influenced by the server Stein.
Great service and great food!

Happy hour upstairs at the bar is one of the best kept secrets in Miami!!
Stein was outstanding!!!
Food was great. We had the Brussels sprouts appetizer, the salmon roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. Food was served quickly and our waiter was very attentive. I enjoyed the environment of the restaurant and it’s location. However, I’m not sure why every MIami restaurant feels the need to blast music...what ever happened to quiet, fine dining? I would come back for the delicious sushi though.
