It's not worth it with miami spice, the service was excellent but the portions are small and the drinks are very expensive, with tip and taxes included. My husband and I spent $ 180, he only drank one beer and I two drinks! at an hour and a half we were home 😞 and muyyyy aburrida !!!
Katsuya is my #1 sushi restaurant when I am home in LA. Unfortunately the Miami location was disappointing in comparison. The rice tasted day old and stale and the overall quality was poor. Overall the quality of everything in the SLS hotel has seen better days. Skip Katsuya in Miami but definitely visit any of the original locations in Los Angeles.
My friends and I live locally and we went for Miami spice however they told us all of us had to order from the spice menu or none of us could order from the spice menu I never heard of such a thing in my life. Very disappointing. Also three out of four of us wanted the black cod and they told us they ran out of it. The ambiance and crowd was cool. The food we had was very good as well
Me and my bf went for our 5 year anniversary and chose to eat from the spice menu. The spicy tuna roll was good. For our meals we ordered the wagyu beef fried rice and the branzino filet oyster mushroom fried rice. The wagyu was almost raw and very chewy. The branzino was extremely salty and fishy. The server was nice and switched my meal to the chicken tatsu-age. It was okay, but very greasy. We enjoyed the desserts. Service was good but the food was not good and the prices are very high. I never leave bad reviews but I was very disappointed.
Delicioso, atención esmerada, ambiente y música increíbles
The food and service was so good that my sister-in-law and I came back the next evening for the omakase tasting menu! The drinks were even sensational. Anyone that says this isn’t the best Japanese in Miami or the entire southeast US is nuts. Here is what is crazy: the dessert was the best dessert I ever had ever! Also, our food arrived in five minutes and we were done in a little over an hour. I will be a regular here from now on.
The restaurant was inside of the SLS hotel South Beach. It was nice and intimate. We were socially distanced and all the servers had masks on. The food was great and the staff amazing, even when we sat poolside.
Loved the vibe but especially the food. Will be coming back!
My son was excited to visit Katsuya. Upon arrival, it was not what we expected. Service was OK but not exceptional. Food was good. My entree was too salty though. Comparing this visit to other restaurants in Miami that we visited...subpar. That's too bad.
Absolutely worths every penny!!
Don’t get suckered into making a reservation. There is a reason they hold your card. They shouldn’t
This used to be my favorite restaurant, not sure what happened but the food was absolutely awful. I didn’t cause a fuss, but the hamachi cut was awful, Cold uncooked spicy tuna crispy rice, Brussels sprouts unbroken. I was quite disappointed!
I love Katsuya in Los Angeles - this was in no way comparable. Multiple items forgotten and server was awful. Manager was awesome though and was walking around trying to make sure guests were being serviced.
Everything was great!
We had amazing choices with the help from our server it was beyond what we expected and a wonderful time.
Disappointed with the food and freshness. Would recommend Zuma instead for authentic sushi.
Food was nothing impressive - just sushi
The food was tasteless in some cases and disgusting in others. Left after appetizers and ate 2 bites. Will never go back.
Yummy! We got the chef’s choice and it was delicious!
Great atmosphere, amazing food and the price was right.
The food was not good at all, service was meh. The one is L.A. was so great so we thought this one would be too. What a disappointment.
Fabulous meal. Very personable server!
Bueno, bonito y caro
Amazing place amazing food
Amazing! Food was incredible and the service was awesome.
Average sushi and ambiance, above average prices lol. Wouldn’t recommend.
Great food and great staff.
Chef Hiro is wonderful and the quality and selection for fish are fabulous.
The hosts/hostess are always welcoming. And the staff are friendly and well informed.
Love coming to Katsuya.
Best sushi ever, comparable to our favorites in Hawaii. Service was friendly and efficient. Pace was perfect. Would highly recommend.
Everything was excellent. We sat outside by the pool and the ambiance was beautiful. The food was delicious and our server was efficient and friendly.
My boyfriend and I went to Katsuya to celebrate his birthday and definitely will be returning. The food was absolutely delicious and waiters were very attentive. Favorites were the rock shrimp, teriyaki tenderloin, waygu gyoza, and tuna on crispy rice!
Service was bad.
I’m here every time I come to South Beach. Food is spectacular. The staff is great. It’s a wonderful date spot AND a top notch group spot. Black cod miso dish, miatake mushrooms, Brussels are just a few of their outstanding dishes.
Great like always best sushi in Miami and awesome vibe
Great food and service!
Erin, our waiter was phenomenal. She paid extra attention to our 3 year old son and even played with his dinosaurs. Exceptional customer service. Food is great too
