Such a great meal, great service, great ambiance
Great service up until our waiter forgot to put in our last order and we sat there waiting for close to a half hour before he realized it. Food was good, not the best sushi I’ve ever eaten, but fresh. Watch out for the specials..$40 for 2 slivers of tuna with truffle oil and truffle powder?? I could have done that a home☹️
Eccellent food which comes with a hefty price tag but worth it
Amazing. Our waiter, Sam, was spectacular
First of all, the food is delicious. I had the Tuna Carpaccio to start. The tuna melted in my mouth. Really enjoyed it. Then I ordered various tuna rolls each better than the last. The spicy tuna with avocado was my favorite. The sashimi was delicious. Tuna, Salmon, eel.
They brought a chocolate molten lava cake for dessert with warm white and dark chocolate in the center. Truly amazing. My only complaint was the speed of service. Food was brought out timely enough but it was difficult to get the waiter’s attention to order more sake, order dessert, get the check, etc.
Used to be one of our favorites. Has gone way downhill. Tuna was not fresh, nor was the lobster robata. Waygu was literally raw and had to be sent back. There were maybe 20 people there on a Tuesday night and there was zero atmosphere. Entire experience was such a letdown. Definitely no longer on our list of favorites in Miami.
Overall a decent Japanese restaurant. A stylish place playing upbeat music which creates a vibrant feel. The food is very good perhaps not blown away by it and for me Nobu and Zuma in London are better. However, a great Japanese fix....
It's still the best sushi restaurant around. The vibe, the service and the ambiance is unmatched
Demasiada iluminación y música fuerte. No se entiende a quien está dirigida la ambientación
Less than average food and service
It is an ordinary CHINESE restaurant but in fancy hotel
Food was pretty legit. Music was loud n was edm kind which I thought didn’t go well with the Japanese theme. Service was not great. But everything we ate tasted pretty good.
Awful service. Sub par food and presentation. Truly base. Not recommended. Very expensive.
Loved it here! Food was amazing. And so were the cocktails. And well priced.
Our server, Aveyan, was outstanding! Highly recommend!!
Insgesamt gut, Portionen könnten grösser sein für den Preis.
Food was really good but felt rushed - appetizers came 2 minutes after we ordered and the entrees came really soon afterward- was expecting something different from a high end restaurant
Every bite was perfectly delicious. Staff were perfect too
Our Server his name was David . He was doing his job excellent.. and I personally believe if your server is good then only you can enjoy good dinner .
So David many thanks to you .
And observe there staff was frienly .
Excellent food and service! We have been here several times and it never disappoints.
The food is superb, best sushi I ever had. Mike is the best! We love it so much we are only spending two days in Miami and both days we are going to Katsuya.
Our waiter was incredible! Ayen? Everything he recommended was amazing!
Great food, great ambient, great service! Nutchira, our waiter, is as usual fantastic!
We had a truly wonderful evening at Katsuya. Our server, Sam, was great, and the food was incredible. We look forward to returning when we are in the area again.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
The food and service at Katsuya was amazing! Fresh and delicious sushi. We were celebrating a bachelorette party and they went above and beyond to ensure the night was extra special! Highly recommend.
Best salmon sushi I've ever had! Went twice in one weekend while in Miami.
The prices are up there, the service wad good but the food wasn't justifying any of it..... and stay away from the desserts.... overall impression: meh.
Excelente lugar para cenar y la atención de Andrés, lo mejor
Best sushi in South Beach . Nice ambient.............🧒🏾🧒🏾🧒🏾🧒🏾
The sushi very fresh and service was on point however seating was way too close
We went there with a group of friends and the service and food were amazing. Being South Beach, we felt the vibe within the restaurant and the staff are super friendly. It was a great evening.
Perfect evening from food to management.
Happy hour followed by dinner. Heavenly.
We were shocked that the service was so poor. It took over an hour to receive 2 appetizers. When we still had not received the next dish after an hr, they realized they had not put in the order. When they finally brought the dish, we inquired as to why it took so long. It was close to 10pm and not busy. The manager was condescending & tried to tell us the chef was not satisfied with sending out a subpar dish. However the dish they did send out was completely undercooked. We could not believe it. We have had this dish before & knew it was not cooked properly. We told the waitstaff and she actually agreed that it was under cooked. We saw her talk to the manager but he didn’t want to come over and deal with it. He made the wait staff come over and take the dish. They were not concerned nor did it matter that we had spent almost 2 hrs there & didn’t even get to eat dinner. Maybe it was an off night for the kitchen but the treatment we received from the manager was horrendous! I’m all about trying to be understanding but Katsuya did not care nor have any intention of apologizing for ruining our dinner.
Fast food service, overpriced options and plates. Fresh fish at least.
Great and consistent spot in SoBe - go here every time I'm in town. Service is great, food is great, location and overall ambiance/experience - also great. Highly recommend.
Food was great - and came out quickly, but service provided was subpar...
For Miami spice and it didn't disappoint . The menu allowed us three courses all of which were solid . It's a bit small and was not crowded . I believe there was an upstairs. Cool chairs and decor. I'd go back. The wagu beef dumplings were a favorite !
This is a scam. You get lured into the place thinking you get an authentic Japanese meal, given the name. Turns outKatsuya just have his name. The sushi rolls were wired, something I could get at the local Whole Foods. Which I wouldn’t mind if there was t the price! Outrageous for what you get. There are many more places in Miami Beach that have fantastic food. Stay away from this place.
Service was decent but restaurant was empty (20% utilisation rate)
Food was really poor:
Tempura batter was so heavy.
Sushi rolls were falling apart.
Grilled vegetable were covered in sweet sauce. And not cooked properly.
Salmon was served with fried salad!?
And it was quite pricey.
Would not recommend.
I went with my mother and wife visiting from Europe. There was a rude, belligerent man screaming the whole time. Even though the waiters were fully aware of this man screaming, cursing, misbehaving because of the fact that he’s drunk, the manager did nothing about it.
When I finally called the manager and told him, he told me that he did not even realize. It’s funny because all the waiters already knew. This belligerent man then continue to threaten me if he was leaving the restaurant screaming at me to meet him outside for a fight. It’s unbelievable that they allow this kind of people into a fancy restaurant such as this one. The manager was completely unaware and incapable. The manager should’ve removed this gentleman hours before I had to complain. This was a terrible experience for me because I was out with my wife and my mother that was visiting. I will not go back to this restaurant again. It’s a shame!
