Andreas was attentive to every detail. Personality and charm to compliment the wonderful food! With the fire alarm still blinking the music was not on but the buzz in the place still created a fun atmosphere. Thanks for making Father’s Day dinner!

Katsuya is one of my favorite places to visit when I am in Miami or Los Angeles. I love the risotto, I love the spicy tuna on crispy rice. I want to go back so bad, but the service was beyond horrific this time. It was so disappointing that when I brought this up to the manager he acted like he could care less. I had to get up and pour wine for my clients twice. We were constantly looking for a server to order drinks. We set for 15 minutes without anyone checking on us when we had multiple empty glasses. I really want this to be fixed and I want to be able to go back. I had three interactions with the manager and each time he said that they would get right on it, but the server was annoyed and had no interest in being there or doing her job. The last interaction I had to raise my voice to try and get my point across and the manager caused me of being erratic and out of control. I said I just want there to be some f$%King service, because god knows we will be charged gratuity automatically. We wanted to have desert and more drinks, but instead the manager took a few things off the bill and presented us with a check with gratuity on it. We were not there to try and get something for free, we wanted to have a nice meal with clients to kick off the week and this server and manager certainly had no desire in making that happen.

The food was good but as usual sushi or Japanese food is not very filling so after a $430 tab for 4 we still had to get more food elsewhere. The drink prices were outrageous but tasty which was part of the problem. The scene was vibrant and energetic but the build out was nothing special, in fact it was quite simple for the prices charged. All in all it was a fun night and the service was good.

Great food, amazing staff! Katsuya is the best restaurant in Miami Beach! Wish we have Katsuya in New York. See you in a few months on my birthday.

Great, delicious food and service and price is decent for South Beach. However, we did tell our waiter that we were not in a rush and if they can not rush the food out as we wanted to make a night out of it. We received two of our orders literally within 5 mins of ordering and the rest to follow shortly. We finished dinner with a glass of wine in 20 mins since the food came out so fast.

Went there because we read some good reviews. But, we found the food and service to be mediocre. The decor was nice. Overall, not worth the high price tag.

not quality Japanese fare. They did not have steamed rice and we were instead recommended a bizarre ricotta/shrimp dish which was not nice at all. The food was average and pricy. Dining room was also very dated.
Not a notch on the Japanese places in London (even the most average ones)

We turned up for a lovely romantic dinner to a terrible restaurant. A triumph of style over substance. We thought we would be eating in a lovely quiet Japanese restaurant, instead it was an over blown Philip stark designed space, with very loud music and just a terrible ambiance. Avoid.!!! Across the road at the Delano is much, much nicer.

A friend and I were looking for late night sushi and ended up making a reservation at Katsuya. We used the valet in the front and were directed to walk through the other restaurants and outside area to get to the restaurant. We were seated right away. Our server answered our questions and was attentive enough. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We had the hand crab rolls to start along with the ceviche. Both were really good! My friend had the Robota chicken and mushrooms. Robota is a special grill. The chicken was good, but the mushrooms were excellent. I had the Hamachi Sizzle roll, and I loved it. We got the passion fruit donuts and chocolate panna cotta, both were excellent. The donuts were my favorite. I can’t wait to go back!

Lived up to expectations. Great ambiance, good service and amazing food. Robata filet, juicy and tender. Just fell apart when you bit into it. Perfection! Oh and I loved the Japanese man dressed up as Charlie Chaplin. Looking forward to going back.

Love it! The food and ambiance are great. Service was good too. It’s definitely expensive considering the portion sizes (ex. 2 slices of sashimi for $11) but if you don’t mind spending a lot on food then I would definitely recommend you check it out. The doughnuts for dessert are amazing; definitely get them with ice cream!

Amazing experience!! From being graciously greeted by Ladonna to enjoying some delicious happy hour cocktails in the Dragon Lounge, to the incredible meal in the main dining area. Everything about our experience at Katsuya was top notch. All of the food and drinks were incredible - my favorite being the crispy rice app and miso black cod entree. A must go in Miami! I only wish we stayed longer so that we could visit Katsuya again.

I have dined in the restaurant multiple times; this time the service was horrible. We were seated and no one approached our table for 20 minutes. Finally after asking multiple staff members we placed our drink orders and food order. We found out that our server was busy so other servers were helping him out. Once our server got caught up, he came to our table and did not apologize for the delay. He did not ask us if we need anything or if our food was to our liking. He did not engage with us at all. We were noticing he was engaging with all his other tables. Its a shame you have a serve at your fine establishment like him.

We expected more. Service was lacking. Portions were small. Food was average with the exception of the Miso Black Cod which was very good (we also had the rock shrimp, baked crab roll, spicy tuna on crispy rice and the waygu gyoza). With only two nights in Miami, we wished we would have picked a different restaurant.

Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Service partly because the only reservation we could get was 6:45 stand there was no one in the restaurant. That said, we say down and orders a drink and a few appetizers. They were delivered before our drinks came and we actually could have been out do the restaurant on 30 minutes. We asked for our server (very attentive and good) to slow down as we felt rushed they dinner. I would like to say we would give it a another go, but I’m not sure.
The food was delicious though. But I do think you are after something else and that is a dining experience.

Katsuya is a good restaurant but rather pricey given the quality of the food. If you’re already in South Beach, it’s worth a visit. However, I am unlikely to return. Nothing special.
