    Our server was amazing! One of my guests has food allergies and he was so thoughtful and took so much care to help with food choices. Really went out of his way. Unfortunately, I cannot recall his name but please pass on our thank you!!

    The server was MIA most of the time. I understand cost have gone up but charging $6 for rice and $8 for miso soup is gouging the customer .

    Katsuya Hollywood didn’t disappoint! Conveniently located near the W and the Pantages theatre. Sushi and the cocktails are AWESOME. Highly recommend!

    The food is always delicious. The lighting is still very dark, especially when going to the restroom. The hallway leading to the restroom should be better.

    I tried the Rock Shrimp Tempura Roll for the first time and LOVED IT! I didn't know that the Shrimp were warm! And my other favorite is the Salmon Lemon Roll which I have to have every time. Delicious food uniquely prepared!

    Went to dinner before the theater on Saturday night. It's a great location for lunch and dinner when going to the Pantages. The California Roll doesn't come with avocado which I've never encountered before. I asked for a replacement with avocado and our server was more than happy to exchange it for one that included avocado (extra charge). The black cod was delicious and piping hot. The baked crab roll (supposed to be like Dynamite) was not good and we wouldn't order it again. It was served cool, not hot, and didn't taste at all like Dynamite. The French Martini was delicious and our server was terrific. It's very lively (noisy) and was packed at 6:00 so reservations are a must.

    Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! Best ceviche I’ve ever had! The double spicy tuna roll was to die for along with the Waygu gyoza. Can’t wait to go back!

    Katsuya on Hollywood Blvd near the Pantages is almost the only restaurant left to go to before the shows. The food is definitely varied and is very good. My two problems are (1) the pricing is really, really over the top, like when you get your food and compare it to the price, you go "WOW!" (2) if it is full and now it is, you can't hear yourself talk, the acoustics in the restaurant are like the walls, floor and ceiling are tin.

    We had dinner before going to the Pantages Theater, convenient just a half block away. We came for sushi rolls, seemed limited for choices. They also have entrees, & other items on the menu. Loved the spicy martini cocktail. Excellent Service.

    Love this place it’s very Lux and has great food. Servers can be more attentive but they are busy and I get how hard those jobs are. Still rate it 5.

    This is our favorite restaurant to eat at before Pantages shows.Everything as usual was delicious and our server was super friendly and attentive. We are obsessed with the Brussel sprout appetizer and we tried the Wagyu steak for the first time which was also delicious. I recommend the warm crab roll and lychee martini too….Our only disappointment was that they didn’t have the donut dessert we love so much. We can’t wait to come back!

    The portions are too, too small for the pricing they have. Yes, it is delicious but still too expensive for the amount of food they serve. For instance the Blue Tuna Flight had 6 all (bite sized) pieces of tuna and it was $35.00. Or 3 baby sized raw oysters for $12.00! Each roll was $25.00 ... We are not thrift diners but we were gobsmacked by their pricing.

    The food? Great we liked everything we tried; the portions were large enough to share. We also liked that the valet service kept our car until after our show at the Pantages, very convenient. The bad? I suppose is that it is a little pricy for what you get, and the Ugly? The noise level is insane, forget about trying to have a conversation, but over all so convenient that we would go again, if the occasion arose.

    Our waiter, Cameron, was excellent and helped us order the food choices. We especially liked the miso-black cod and the brussell sproats. We had a good sake with our meal and the donut dessert was great.

    Food was outstanding. Service was good. We all did the prix fixe menu and it was delicious. Drinks were good but a bit pricey for what they were. Ambiance was cool, but metal chairs were a little uncomfortable and the room was a bit dark. Overall, we liked it and would come again

    We were a party of six and I thought we ordered a lot of food. We had 2 orders of rock shrimp, two orders of the chicken karaage, 2 sushi rolls, two orders of fish, an order of the ribs and two orders of fried rice (one wagyu beef and the other shrimp). The food was so good we actually consumed all of it without any difficulty. And thanks to the wonderful wait staff we finished our meal in good time and made it to our show with time to spare.

    The food was great and our server was excellent. My daughter has Celiac and our server was super knowledgeable about her options. It’s a fun place to go before a show at the Pantages or for a special occasion, but it’s extremely expensive for the same quantity and quality you can get elsewhere.

    No complaints on anything we ordered; from the spicy tuna crispy rice to our last dish of miso butterfish. In between we enjoye d our Katsuya roll, the corn crunch roll, the Chicken katsu bites and the rock shrimp. The quality of the dishes ordered was great; it would have been very disappointing if it wasn't since you are paying for the high quality. Our server Emi was great especially when things got very busy; the runners serving the food were always polite and were quick to take away our empty plates.

    Our server was excellent she was incredibly busy and did her best to make our dinner pleasant. We appreciate her professionalism. Food was great my only issue was the noise level they have a dj playing music making very difficult. Because of the excessive noise everyone has to talk louder just to hear each other. Lose the extras this place would be great.

    We had a great dinner and the service was also great. We had some different sushi rolls and had the oysters special appetizer. We also had the fried rice - do yourself a favor and get the fried rice with the braised short-rib (it was so flavorful and tender).

    The service was great and the food was amazing. The only downside was that two person tables are so to each other that it’s a little hard to get in if you’re the one sitting on the booth side. You’re also close enough to the people next to you to join in on their conversation. But once you’re in, the food is worth it.

    Going to theatre after dinner. A lot of traffic so was 15min late. We were still seated. Show time was going to be tight so needed fast service. Although they were very busy, we ordered and received our food timely and made our Show! And the black cod is delicious, staff were great
