Good experience. I sat in a booth in main room. Less noisy and not as tight as other room. They changed my table to meet my original opentable request for here. Food was good. Service great. Nice upscale hip ambiance.
Dark and cozy, but very loud! The food was excellent and the service was fast and welcoming!
Good food... noisiest restaurant I’ve been in.
Too noisy. Over priced. They are in a rush to turn your table. Way too many other better restaurants in LA.
Our server was amazing. Super kind and efficient.
After Pantages theater
Great bass fish
Menu items did not reflect what was on the site. The people seating us where rude. Manager was good.
Beautiful restaurant, great service, and the food was amazing! Will return for sure!
Our hotel recommended us to dine here and we were not disappointed!
Just picking up a quick bite for lunch. Quick service, good ambiance and food. Would repeat.
This is where my boyfriend of 3 years now went on our first date and I took him here for his birthday this year and we had a blast! I love Katsuya Hollywood so much and will keep coming back!
Amazing sushi! Very clean environment. The brussel sprouts are to die for!!!
Put in the reservation notes that it was our anniversary and they made sure to have a very great table for us to enjoy. They were very attentive to my wife’s allergy and everyone was very pleasant.
Only down side was the bartender getting our premeal cocktail seemed very new and really didn’t know the bar all that well.
Website is out of date. The online menu is no longer available. Big disappointment. Not coming back.
We had three children with us and were still made to feel very welcome.
Great dining experience, ambiance and food/presentation.
Wasn’t the best place to throw a birthday dinner because the ambiance wasn’t very party like but a great last minute place. The food was delicious and the waiter was extremely accommodating.
Great experience - delicious, fresh sushi! Will definitely go again.
Prior to show, great location to walk to...
First off - everyone was using their phone light just to read menu... second, you feel rushed as they just want you out. Ordered drinks, appetizers and two entrees and they will have you out ASAP. Couldn’t even relax for a minute.
Would not recommend for $120... getting shake shack next show.
This particular location the valet is expensive. The food isnt all that, in fact it pales in comparison to the other locations in cali.
I wouldn't recommend this location.
Excellent food and service
Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. If you haven't been here by now, what are ya waiting for?
Great service. Food is amazing
So good. Fresh sushi along with fabulous Asian-inspired cooked dishes. It’s pricey but worth it. Now one of my top LA sushi places. The spicy tuna on top of rice browned in butter is a top 5 dish I’ve had in years.
Went for dinner before Pantages show - the place was hoping. Quick and efficient service, friendly waiter.
The food we ordered was really good - some even crazy good.
Hamachi sashimi, hamachi collar, waygu potstickers, grilled octopus, tempura king crab ....
The restaurant LOOKS awesome- seating to the right side is way better, but might be the louder choice (?) not sure. The noise level was crazy LOUD!! I was surprised. Didn't ruin the experience but dang hard to talk without leaning way in. A freaking DJ was setting up at about 7pm (WTF?) any louder would be painful.
Would love to trying again but would sure like a less noisy night -maybe mid week?
Prices are kinda high considering the portions are small but we were ok with it. About $200 with two glasses of wine for 2 ppl. We had two drinks at the bar prior not included in that amount.
The waiter took way too long to bring the bill. Made it awkward for the date. I had to hand him my card before I even got the bill.
Excellent service and food! Even my husband who doesn’t like sushi loved this restaurant due to the service, drinks, and chicken teriyaki. The cocktails were awesome(love the burning mandarin) and the sushi was fantastic! Will definitely be back the next time we are in Hollywood
It was great! Food, as usual, was wonderful!
Food and service is always outstanding! Love the fried rice and the albacore with crispy onions and the...well everything.
Waiter was below average. I asked for omakase and really got off the menu stuff. Cucumber martini with lime juice...yuck. I spent over $200 but would have spent double. Didn’t finish two of the three dishes and almost none of my martini. Kyle behind the bar and your blonde blonde door host are your stars!!! I have Kyle a $20 tip on a $8 tab because of his thoughtfulness.
Great food as always. We love being able to see our orders being prepared. The servers are excellent at spacing out your food so that when you are done with one selection, the next comes out. Warning: lava cake takes a bit to come out. Order early
I love the new menu, as it offers so much more variety, especially for those who are dragged to a sushi place but don’t want sushi. If you appreciate high quality food and great service, then go to Katsuya. We like the Hollywood location because it’s consistently delicious and near the Pantages. Some of my faves are the new beef short ribs, hamachi sushi, albacore sashimi with crispy onions, and corn crunch roll.
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Katsuya. We will be back.
The service was well run and no long waits for food. , Many tasty choices on menu and nicely presented. Higher prices smaller portions as expected at this venue .
great food with a varied menu. The sashimi is exceptional. The spicy edamame were an interesting and flavorful twist.
Great place. Great location (especially for those heading over to the Pantages for a show after dinner). Food is good but it is a little pricey.
Our night at Katsuya was amazing. Everything from the service to the food was excellent. The ambience is loud. They do have a DJ so expect that but it’s great. A very trendy spot that’s for sure!
The food here is quite good. It is way over priced and the service is mediocre at best Not worth the tude
