Great service. Attentive and friendly waitstaff. Was able to accommodate my mom with a dish that was no longer on the menu.

The food is always great, as is the service. However, this time our first course was COLD by the time it arrived & late. However, the waiter re-ordered it for us, & while it, too was late in arriving, at least it was hot, & we were not charged for the first order.

Katsuya ALWAYS honors our seating reservation requests, another reason for which we like to dine there.

We ate here before our movie. Luckily we made our reservation for 2hrs before the movie, as it took that long to get our drinks and food. Waiter hardly ever came by and when our food finally did come out, it did so before our drink order. Although the food was good, the portion size was definitely not worth the price. The food was too expensive and the service was horrendous. I would not recommend coming here.

Service was good, waitress very courteous , it was not a crowded Saturday night and I decided to bring my brother and his wife, who were visiting from Seattle, to katsuya, they were happy and loved the udon soup, tempura with sake. first time I ordered the mushrooms variety "bop " and I loved it. I will be coming back.

We came to dinner here to celebrate a friends birthday. I confirmed it was for a birthday when the restaurant called earlier in the day to confirm the reservation and again when I checked in at the restaurant both of which I was told the server would be told about the occasion however there was no birthday celebration at the table.

There was also a long wait for our drinks and food. Our waiter checked in on us enough which we appreciated but the food and drink delay both had to be checked on separately.

Overall I was a bit disappointed and have had better service at other Katsuya locations.

THE WAITER WAS CORDIAL AND PLEASING. SASHIMI AND ROLLS WERE EXCELLENT. IT TOOK A LONG TIME FOR THE BBOP TO BE SERVED, THAT I HAD TO ASK THE WAITER HOW MUCH LONGER. I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND THE RESTAURANT WITH A WARNING ABOUT THE TIME IT TAKES FOR BBOP TO BE SERVED.

Yikes. Went there on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and was horrified by the experience.

Flies. Flies everywhere. My date and I Had to move tables because we were swarmed by about 5-6 flies. We sat outside and still there were about 2-3.

Food and service was ok. But I can't eat at a place that has this many bugs. This restaurant is in the middle of the Americana mall so it's not like there's a bug infestation in the area. There can only be one place they're coming from...

This experience was a chaotic dinner in an understaffed restaurant that felt like a barn. I felt bad for our server who couldn't do his job on account of a lack of management and staff. Oh by the way the food wasn't bad, I would call it mediocre. Note to self: never need to go back.

We were immediately seated for a 6 pm reservation but it went downhill from there. Had to ask for set up & water. The waiter didn't seem to know the difference between a Pinot Noir & a Pinot Grigio since he brought me the wrong one. My husband was almost finished with his entree when mine finally arrived lukewarm. We couldn't get the waiter's attention during this time span to ask what was holding up my food. Will never go back!

While the menu is varied and location is great, the food sadly is nothing to shout about. It is just ok. And since the price is high for what you get this is not good. The service is horrible. The wait time between courses is way too long and the servers disappear for long periods of time. And they constantly put down other people's orders on your table. Which makes it a frustratingly odd experience for all.

This time it was quite noisy as someone was celebrating a birthday at a table next to ours.

The spicy rice will always be a personal favorite. The Uni sushi was fresh as usual. Tempura and Udon -awesome!

Service was excellent as we had 2 yr old twins with us. Servers were extremely patient to our requests to cater to the children.

Will always go back!

Fab yime at this restaurant on our honeymoon. We were looking for something relatively casual. It has a lovely outdoor seating area on a busy square. We had a new waiter (we think) and he was brill... really knowledgeable. The Marlborough Sav Blanc and thw sushi menu are worth a special mention. Our experience was topped off with 2 complimentary glasses of bubbly and a conplimentary dessert to share.

It's good, solid Japanese food and sushi. You're not going to get a crazy authentic meal, but you will enjoy a solid meal that friends who like sushi, etc. will enjoy.

Service was slow. Friends meal came out so much later everyone else was finished with their meal before it came. Bathrooms were not stocked and messy. Food and drinks were not at standard of other katsuyas I've frequented. Very disappointing. Used tobe my favorite sushi spot.

Service was very spotty, and being open onto the mall made for more noise than necessary. Food not as good as their westside locations. Restroom in a terrible location. Overall, I won't be back, better to go to their other locations.

Awesome food! I went for dinner with my dad and we were both very impressed. The portions are a good size, but not too big so you can order multiple dishes to taste without getting too full. We sat outside so it was a bit noisy but nothing too bad. The food tasted amazing and I got my sushi fix!

Service was slow. First beer was warm.
The high end sashimi had no distinct flavor.

They took a very long to find an avocado to put into the ceviche.
We thought that was very strange. When the ceviche came out, there were two cubes of avocado. Something did not make sense.

The timing of food delivery was off.
They did not seem organized.
We won't be coming back. We figured a name like Katsuya would have all of this figured out.

Not necessarily as good as other Katsuyas....for a mall Katsuya, it's fine. Quick good sushi, especially if you want a sit-down while shopping. Nice patio dining.

The service was exceptional I was really happy with our waitress and how she was helpful. However, our food did not taste well at all. The sushi I had ordered was really salty and overly saucy I could not taste the sushi due to the overload of sauce. My husband had different rolls than I did and did not like his food either saying it did not taste well. I would not go there again although the view of the outdoor seating is nice.

We arrived for a 8:30 reservation and struggled to determine who our waiter was, however once he got to our table, he was very helpful. Despite entering our food order immediately the kitchen staff took forever to bring out my friends food. At 9:15 with half our parties food still not served we asked for our food to be boxed up as we had a movie to make. Our waiter tried his best to get the food out and even got the manager involved. We barely got a 15% discount , no apology from the manager and had to eat our food in the theatre. We both didn't eat half the food as it was poorly packaged and didn't taste right. Waiting close to 35 min for our food at a sushi restaurant was excessive. That's the last time I will ever dine there.

My husband, daughter and I had dinner there the food was OK but the service was terrible they took over 45 minutes to get my daughter her sushi roll . When i ask the manage I was told that there were two kitchens and so sometimes the hot food comes out before the sushi and they were backed up I can understand that but 45 minutes that's unheard of
