We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at the restaurant. Our waiter, Julian, was very attentive and provided excellent advice on dinner options. He also provided an extra touch with complimentary bubbly and dessert to make our celebration even more memorable. The food was delicious with the house sushi and beef being our favourites. The ambience also created a lovely setting for our celebration.
The meal was delicious but had sticker shock when I received the check and saw where the bowl of plain Fried Rice that I ordered as a meal accompaniment cost me $38.
The food was tasty. I don't have anything negative to say about this place.
My husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary at Baha Mar and we ate dinner at Katsuya our last night of the trip. It was the BEST experience we had while on the trip, the BEST service and BEST food . I highly recommend Katsuya to anyone & everyone!!
One of the best meals we had at Bahamar! Service was top notch.
Ticks all the boxes, great food plenty of options! Had wonderful wine and sake list along with Artisan cocktails.
Tim and Tez are awesome
This is a great choice in the Hyatt- Food very good and surprising exceptional sushi
Loved it!! Did the chef’s tasting menu. AMAZING!!
I liked the food except the spicy tuna with crispy rice was served cold to me.
I told them and they took it off the bill.
I thought that the food was pretty good but the price did not match the quality.
It costed more than when I went to Nobu the night before, and I think Nobu is at a lower level than this restaurant.
It was very expensive in my opinion for the food but it was a nice atmosphere and good for special occasions, date nights, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Nice bar lounge type of restaurant. Hip crowd.
Absolutely amazing and highly recommend to dine here! If you don’t, you will miss out!
We celebrated our anniversary at Katsuya and it was simply amazing. The food, service, and ambiance was impeccable. Delano was our server and he provided excellent service to us. He made recommendations based on our likings. Tez assisted us as well making sure we had a wonderful experience. These guys know service and we will definitely dine here again.
After all of the hype we were not impressed. We have been to the one in Miami & it was much better. We got all of our food before our first drink even though we ordered drinks right away. Definitely not worth the cost for a rushed experience.
Decor and ambiance were wonderful for my birthday dinner with my SO. We had a cozy table in front of the room used for large parties. Our wait person Denise was excellent...friendly, explained the menu, answered questions, food orders placed and received timely so no issues there. We started with the spicy edamame. If you generally like edamame and spicy foods then go for it! Recently I have had Japanese style "smoked" meats so I was looking forward to trying the meats. We ordered the lamb chops and the pork both of which were cooked and seasoned well. I also had yellow tail sushi and we had two orders of the crab rolls because they were really good. Overall we enjoyed the food and service. If you are NOT staying at Baha Mar, note that they only accept credit cards for payment. Of course the wait staff are glad to receive tips in cash (US or Bahamian).
Pretty awesome, good food and service. We even sat in the table next to the Houston Rockets!
This was our first honeymoon dinner at Baha Mar and it really set the bar very high!! Our waiter was outstanding and brought us champagne with strawberries on the house. Our meal was absolutely delicious. To finish the meal our waiter also brought us the sweetest dessert (on the house) and wished us many years of love and happiness ❤️💑
I really wanted to love it.....but after my experience I wouldn’t return. The day I was supposed to go one kitchen was down so they had a cross out menu if things you could order. No problem came back the next day instead. The restaurant was empty and I asked if I could sit at a table even though I booked the counter because the counter seemed crammed. The hostess was not thrilled. On a positive note my ceviche was delicious. I ordered the black cod that I was told came with broccoli but it can with asparagus. Wrapped around one of those asparagus was a black hair. I told the busboy and he apologized and they brought a new one. Although it tasted good I found three bones. When it was tome for dessert I asked for the rum cake...and was then told they were out of it. They suggested the chocolate miso lava cake. The chocolate tasted sour. Although I know hair in food does happen, they could have offered to pick up my dessert. Didn’t happen. Just too many good places to come here again
I was so excited to eat at Katsuya- menu looked amazing! but the problem was there was a malfunction in the kitchen and half of the menu was unavailable. super disappointed - I really wanted to try their cooked options but this was not possible.
More than half of the menu wasn't available. Portions were small and of low quality especially when you consider the cost. Would not go again. Raw dishes were very warm and cut extremely thin. The pork was 95% fat.
The food was quite good - especially the striped bass. Very flavorful with a hint of spice. The service was excellent. Our only complaint was the noise level. My husband and I had to yell to hear each other’s which was not very pleasant. The atmosphere was more club than restaurant. Other than that, we had a good experience.
Great vacation dinner with my sister
Delicious. Likely returning a second night in a row. Wish they were open for lunch
Everything was great but the restaurant was FREEZING! The lobby area of the hotel and the casino were freezing as well and apparently the restaurant can't control their temperature, it is set by the hotel????
We are staying at the Atlantis. Every meal was horrible. Nobu was such a disappointment. We decided to try katsuya.
It was a hit! Service and food was great! All I can say! We’ll be back!
I had been there a few times and highly recommended the restaurant. But this time the quality of the food was mediocre compared to the price. The bartender was excellent with the specialty cocktails but I was very disappointed with the food.
Lots of hype so we didn't know what to expect. Food was wonderful. Lots of choices in different price points. We had seafood with soba noodles, sushi and a tempor shrimp sushi. All different types and all famous.
Absolutely delicious--everything from drinks to appetizers, main coarses and dessert--if you only go to 1 restaurant at the Baha mar this should be the one!!
Was ok nothing special.
We went there to have conch, but there was no conch. Also there is no IPA beer. If they do not serve the most popular local food, they should annonce it before. In addition to that, staff was also bad service. It was the most terrible experience for us in Bahamas.
Great experience as always! This is now my third time dining at this restaurant and I can’t find anything wrong, they do everything just right.
Everything was very good, except the music was way to loud and couldn’t really talk to each other. It was tiring and stressful to shout to each other to be heard.
Noisy, jarring music, front reception with major attitude,
Wonderful food and service. Restaurant was too cold and we asked our server if I could get a wrap. He went to the spa and brought me a small blanket.
Best Sushi. Loved it. Great service from our waiter. But the welcome at the restaurant from the hostess was really poor. In fact this was our experience at all the restaurants at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. Nice (expensive) restaurants but all with very bad welcoming by hostess’s.
The food was delicious but the Wagyu fried rice was not worth it for the $68 price. There was barely enough for two people to share not four like it stated. The service leaves room for improvement.
I was celebrating my 60th Birthday with my wife and 2 young adults...The Hostess's for this restaurant are horrible I had 6:30 reservation and they sat me in the back of the outdoor seating area with the sun in my eyes and not another person around everyone else was being seated in front of the restaurant with beautiful views... and when asked to be moved they did not care. There was plenty of seating in front of the outdoor seating area where people were eating with beautiful outdoor views and open tables. When i asked to be move to one of the open tables in front with nice views i was told that seating was reserved...Reserved for who i had a reservation also...is there money better then my money i asked...i feel i was discriminated against while dining at this restaurant and would never recommend this restaurant to any of my friends or colleagues. Although the food was very good, the table placement was just rude and inconsiderate and just ruined the special occasion right from the very start and that should not be.
Rolls were lacking an adequate amount of fish leaving a tasteless Katsura Roll. One dinner came almost twenty minutes later than the other meals. Manager was very accommodating and discounted for the mishap.
Two of us dining. One entree comes and 50 minutes later the other shows only because I walked to the kitchen to ask someone about. Waitress was clueless. $70 waygu came to the table finally but we just left it.
