Kathmandu Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
I used to work/live in Nepal for a month, so I missed their food. I also mentioned wonderful Nepalese dishes to my friend, so we decided to have a dinner there. My friend and I enjoyed our meal so much - a wonderful way to introduce my friend! Highly recommended!
Amazing experience - myself and my partner went in on the busy Saturday of Paddy's weekend. We had to wait for a table but we were well looked after and given excellent service upon sitting. I have a severe nut allergy which always makes nervous going to an Indian. The waiter recommended a curry dish and it was fab. We even got a complimentary drink at the end- really nice touch. Definitely visiting again
I have eaten Indian cuisine all over the world, and Kathmandu was totally mediocre.
It is probably the first Indian restaurant I've experienced where the Rogan Josh was completely flavorless. AND the prices were expensive. Would neither recommend or return to this restaurant.
We went here for my brothers 60th birthday weekend .
The food was good but expensive for what you get.
We come from a city that is recognized for its asian cuisine therefore was used to quality food at reasonable price as mentioned food was good but expensive.
At the end of meal we were given a drink ( i think a bit of a smoother due to what we spent on food ) which was appreciated but i thought it would have been better to give a cheaper menu instead of a bribe entice you to come back
We went here on a Saturday night and it was heavingly busy (we were glad to have booked). Interesting menu - it had a good selection of what you might call your every day Indian take away options, plus a variety of Nepalese food, with a number of dishes we hadn't come across before. Food was well spiced and flavoured (by which I mean a good balance of flavours, not take your head off, hot). The waiting stuff were moving at about hundred miles an hour all night but were always on hand when you needed them. There was a really mixed bunch of people in there from a large gathering celebrating the birthday of an 8 or 9 year old, to couples of all ages and a couple of business groups. And the place is well placed being between the Grafton St shopping area and Temple Bar so whichever area of town floats your boat - odds are this will be convenient. Overall, a jolly good meal. I recommend.
Booking was made and changed 3 times due to extra persons attending the" Grumpy old mens"
