Great service! Good prices! Lovely ambiance!
Loved our girls night out here...they were warm, friendly and had great music
The place is very dark and not very clean. I couldn't wait to finish my meal (which was okay) and get out of there. We wanted to smoke a hookah but didn't feel comfortable because the place did not appear to be clean.
This was a great place. Very interesting ;). Had lots of fun that night!
Great service and ambiance !
Natalie our server was awesome. It wasn't my first time here, I've beeen here three times before with a friend based on her recommendation for good hookah places downtown. I always love coming here and I order my usual calamari which I've never had complaints about.
Great quiet place to smoke some hookah and have a few drinks (as long as you're there before 10pm). One of the most relaxed places to offer hookah that I've been to in NYC. Would definitely go again!
Great place to hangout
I went here with my boyfriend for a date night in the city. The hookah was great! The menu selection wasn't so great. I had a great time. The belly dancer performance was fun!
It's a very sexy lounge, has a great ambiance and the drinks are really good! I went back twice already.
Was a cool place been to a couple of hooka places but this one was really nice food was very good and we loved the hooka there
Really fun for a Saturday night, whether a date night or a friend get together. Keep in mind there's an extra service charge for the hookah they don't tell you about. They also charge you for water.
I didn't have any food, but I enjoyed a hookah and a drink alone. They charge a service fee which upset the waitress when she didn't get a tip. The atmosphere and hookahs are nice- the staff was just okay.
The place was cool , prices were reasonable .. The only thing I disliked was that the music didn't reach all the way to the second floor in the back . They should consider putting speakers there also. And the belly dancers only danced in the middle didn't come to the side I was on .
Although our meal wasn't even close to the best Middle-eastern food we've ever had, we had a great night at Karizma regardless! Our server was delightful. The hummus, baba ganoush & pita appetizer was excellent. The hookah pipe was really fun & relaxing. And the drinks were strong and rather tasty. For what we were served as far as dinner, and considering that this would be perceived as a dive bar in other cities, I was shocked by the bill, but that's Manhattan for you. Still, a great place If you are looking for drinks and munchies, but not a dinner place in my opinion. Glad we went, but wouldn't go back.
Great hookah lounge. Music was good and the food wasn't bad either. It was very casual and chill. Exactly what we were looking for
The restaurant/lounge was cool. It's not a place for an extensive meal. But finger foods and appetizers are good. Depending on where you sit the servers may have to continuously ask you to get up so they can reach the other customers. This is very annoying. The hookah was great and wonderfully priced.
I was apprehensive about this paces service trading reviews but place wad top notch. Appetizers were satisfactory and hookah was great and reasonably priced. Will definitely come back next new york city visit
Karizma lounge is a excellent place for a party. My only issue was the lack of space for friends to seat
Our final balance when we left was a bit expensive too
Service was not great but prices are good and hookah all night!
It seems good for a hookah lounge, but we only went for appetizers. It's dark and nicely decorated, though oddly, we were seated in the coldest corner, and right by the speaker, even though there were other tables free. The mezze combo plate was nice, though we also ordered the foule (fava beans), which were way, way too salty. We were also then so thirsty, and when we asked for more water, the waitress was harried and never brought it, and we had to ask again. We also couldn't find her for the check, and we were pressed for time. The tables are not set up to eat more than a small plate, with loungey chairs, unless there are more table-like setups in the front room. We'd go back if we wanted a hookah lounge, but not just to eat.
The food here was great, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're not a fan of hookah as it engulfs the entire place with the smell. The waiter was mostly downstairs, however, and as we were seated upstairs, it took quite a while for me to track her down to change seats or even get the check. I liked the food a lot however and we sat on the upstairs terrace.
