   We celebrated my partner’s birthday and had a great dinner. It was very intimate, my partner enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. We loved the salmon avocado and bc roll! They did an amazing job! Would recommend.

   Excellent Japanese cuisine. Very authentic experience somehow brought me back to japan for a while. Recommend lobster roll, sashimi rice bowl (soooo fresh you can’t miss it!) as well as Wagyu sushi definitely one of my fav Vancouver sushi bar after the visit.

   The food was delicious! It took longer than it should have for our server to get to us with a drink order and food order. It also took a long time to get back to us for payment after providing the bill. We had to flag someone down to ask for the credit card machine. It was busy but it did not appear to be overly busy. Maybe short staffed?

   We've been coming to Kamei for close to 30 years. Always good, fish so fresh, presentation is so beautiful.

   Everyone please be aware that if you are parking here, DO NOT park at the impark lot. They will close the gate at 8pm and you will not get your car back until the next business day, there is no attendant on site. We ate on a Friday and could not get the car back until Tuesday... Staff did not mention there are two lots along the street, both lots are right next to each other. You have to park at the little lot with the blue sign, the large lot (impark) will give you troubles.

   My friends and I had an amazing experience here! The sushi here was great and the food came to us fairly quickly. The staff were active in making sure we had what we needed and they were super friendly as well! It was my friend’s birthday and they brought him out a dessert as a treat and he really appreciated it! After we finished up around 8:45, we realized that they had karaoke later in the night so we left and came back for it and it was so much fun. Everyone here was so kind and inviting, my friends and I are noting Kamei Royale as a spot to come back to in the future!

   Great little sushi spot that takes reservations. Friendly staff and great sushi. Worth going during the happy hour.
