Amazing menu and service! Best date night spot ever.
Great food great service we are frequent flyers
This is a long time favorite in Old Town. It is consistently high-quality food, with good service, and comfortable for conversation. Reasonably priced.
Our server Ben was fantastic.
Ben was a fantastic server! Food was amazing
Quality sushi, every time.
A nice experience. Great vibe, great food, great service.
Really great quality food, just seemed like the portions were a bit small for the price. Whole staff was great and we had a good time!
It was my daughters 17th birthday and the dinner was perfect for her and 3 friends - the waiter treated them with respect and took photos and made sure they had a good experience
Too loud, sashimi over chilled (but presentation very nice), and server (while delightful) got the order wrong.
If you want to be a GREAT sushi place as I once recall you were, raw fish temperature is very important to enjoying sushi/sashimi.
And....no reaction to the fact we were celebrating a birthday.
The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is top-tier and is always cooked well and nicely presented.
The ambience is very inviting and relaxed, but can be a bit noisy depending on who else is sitting near you. We had a mother and young daughter near us and the mother didn't know how to use her "inside voice." The staff is very nice and attentive, and the food is exceptional!
Always a great destination for lunch or dinner!
Sushi was wonderful and service outstanding! Would recommend
My brother and I came here to celebrate his 30th birthday. Aurora did a great job serving us and making us feel welcome. She was kind, attentive and a great representative of the restaurant. We ordered dumplings (pork and shrimp), as well as a few sushi rolls. Everything was fantastic! Aurora also brought over mochi balls for my brothers birthday to cap off the celebration. Next time we’re wanting sushi, we will definitely be back!
We were upstairs with big groups.
It was very noisy.
There was a waiter, we wonder if it was his first day. He definitely didn’t have any experience.
Good food and great service. Highly recommend this place to someone not looking for a Japanese fusion place.
We had a party of 4 and really had a good time. Server was courteous. Food taste was excellent.
Best Japanese food in Chicago. Consistently good, excellent service.
Great food and I’m glad o can get the quality of fish for lunch!
Excellent service and amazing sushi! Would highly recommend Kamehachi to anyone visiting Chicago!
The sushi was above average quality in taste and freshness. The menu is long and varied. The service was spot on.
What a great find. I’ve been going to this area for years and didn’t know this restaurant existed. Great food and a restaurant that feels more like Japan than Chicago. Highly recommend!
The sushi and food here is always amazing. Very fresh sushi, very friendly staff.
Wonderful food. The cocktails are excellent! We did not try to sushi, but will for sure try it next time!
Good food, quick service :)
My partner and I visited for my birthday. We got fried tofu to start, the udon bowls for our main and we split the Dragon sushi roll. Absolutely amazing and well worth the price, which was far cheaper than you’d expect for Chicago.
Always good food and service. Never disappointed.
Good/average quality sushi. The chocolate lava cake was my favorite. Service was very slow on a busy Saturday night - not uncommon in Chicago post-(during-)COVID.
Great Japanese restaurant on the north side. Good food, consistently, and excellent waitstaff. Not expensive.
Service was prompt and friendly. Food was great! Highly recommend the asparagus, spicy dragon rolls and the shrimp dumplings. We will be back!
This was the best sushi I have ever eaten. Next time we are back to Chicago I will definitely eat there again.
First time experiencing Chicago sushi. Was recommended to try Kamehachi and will return again!
Love this place and so consistent and fresh!!
My daughter and her friend really enjoyed the sushi after the Van Gogh exhibit.
Food was just not that great. Asparagus/beef rolls were so overdone, couldn’t eat more than one. Shrimp was too fishy. The rolls weren’t great. Not a lot of flavor
We had been there before, and liked it, but our experience last night was great. My girlfriend loved the Sake the server recommended (Black Dragon under Aromatic), and the Gyoza stood out among the edibles.
Our server from Romania was exceptional and very helpful.
