Great food and great night out with friends!
Great experience and a lot of fun
This is a quaint, old school steakhouse. The service was ok, not overly friendly. The salads were very nice, the poke was good very generous portion. I ordered the rib appetizer plate. The description indicated a 1/2 rack portion and I received 3 ribs, one of which was a very small end piece. Not terribly good value for the money. The garlic mashed potatoes were quite nice. The experience was fine, but not something I'd rave about.
Lovely dinner out with excellent food. Several options and the desserts were fantastic- especially the bread pudding.
Awesome food and amazing service. Stuffed pork chop was amazing!
Best prime rib on the island!
New found restaurant that we will visit every time we are in Kauai.
This is the third time we’ve dined at Kalaheo Steak and Ribs and we were not disappointed. It’s an affordable restaurant with a very good menu to choose from.
Amazing steak. Yummy to perfection. Very friendly staff. I’m going back again soon. Big Mahalo to the staff and management. Everyone give a try. You won’t regret it. Keep up the friendly hospitality. Aloha
Excellent as usual! Great service. Attractive environment. Succulent food and bees.
The prime rib stir fry was good. the stuffed pork chop was excellent. The meatloaf was a favorite.
The hostess is always welcoming & friendly. The ONLY waitress is incredible. She is soooo efficient. The bus boy/ waiter is equally efficient. They work well together without having to say much to each other. Food always good with good portions. Good wine selection.
We come to Kauai every year & always have at least one meal here.
Loved the food, and the service.
We did have to wait quite awhile before we got our food.
Food was very good, service was better than last time. Dee, our waitress is always very friendly.
My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon which was about 3 bites for $36. Ordered medium rare, got medium well. Nicely decorated area.
Great service, steaks were better than recent dinner at RC and less expensive. Enjoyed ambiance and atmosphere.
Great food and very tasty, there is no reason to dine anyway else.
Terrible service. Took an hour and a half for the food to come out. Then the food (prime rib) was cold. Would not recommend this place.
All ways a pleasure. A local legend.
We've never had a bad meal there. I Love the Prime Rib. It is my favorite. After dinner they have different types of music on the other side of the restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
❤️ celebrating here with friends and family!! Especially in the bar on Thursday or Sunday evenings. Dancing and singing with the amazing band Wailoa!!! Love just about everything and everyone!!
The ONLY suggestion I have is that they offer a wee bit more lettuce with the side salad that comes with meal...especially since adding a bit more romaine to the Caesar shouldn’t break the bank. My husband took one look at it and made a comment. Everything else was superb though!
We enjoyed our visit! Our filet was super tender and yummy. Our baked potato was the best baked potato we've had in a restaurant in years! The salad was a bit skimpy but we shared, so even a big one might not have been too much! Our server was careful to keep her eye on us in case we needed another thing, which we didn't because she anticipated everything so well! We'll put this spot on our map for the next visit to Kauai!
We have known Ernie and Caroline for around 10 years. They know how o treat people well and make awesome food for a great price. Can't say enough good tings about Kalaheo Steak and Chops.
We are in Kauai on vacation for a week. Was excited to try this restaurant after reading the good reviews. It didn’t go well. We were a table of 7. Our waitress was very nice as was the manager but it took an hour to get our food. When it arrived, the 2 steaks that were ordered medium came very well done and were tough. I ordered a hamburger with no jalapeño peppers and the aioli on the side. It came with aioli smothered on the burger with jalapeños on top! Unless they get a new cook, don’t bother with this place.
This is my second visit , first time was great , this time , not so hot. We had a large group at a late seating . It also seemed like they had a large group in the bar and not enough help .
Nice local steak joint. Eaten there a few times over the years. Always seem to come back because of the value. My last dinner was good but the baked potato was hard. Couldn’t really eat much of it. The prime rib was tasty though. My wife was disappointed as they didn’t have any fish that evening though it is on the menu. Though disappointed She did have steak on her salad instead and that was also tasty.
Very disappointed with our waiter.....he seemed very distracted & was very inattentive despite it being a slow evening......As for food my husband's steak was very undercooked....also your bread portions very miniscule for four diners. It was our first visit and probably wouldn't go back.
We did not enjoy this meal at all. His NY Strip was raw, thin and a poor cut of meat. My filet was cooked properly but dry. The French Onion soup was a small cup of very salty soup with a slice of stale bread and cheese on top, not traditional French Onion soup that you'd expect. Neither dinner plate was hot. I wouldn't recommend this place or go back.
Excellent meal! Wonderful service with Sophia!! Definitely recommend Keokis!!
Great ribs and prime rib. Prime rib is only served on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Caroline and Ernie doing a great job. This place is worth going off the main drag to find.
Two hour wait for food! They were very busy and it took forever to get our food. A lot of locals eat here and they really act like they do not need your business, and they probably don't. So if you are a tourist, this may not be the place to eat. Owner came by our table at the end of the meal and apologized for the bad service and gave us a gift certificate for $50 (which paid for our wine). But they really dropped the ball and we will never be going back to this restaurant again.
Great local restaurant. We had a great meal for a very reasonable price. The service was very attentive. The ribs were fall off the bone excellent and the meatloaf was a great find. We will definitely return. Go during happy hour for good drink prices.
Not sure if there was a different cook but I've tasted better before. The sauces weren't creamy but more gelatin like. Dee made up for the cold prime rib but comping our desserts! Portions seemed smaller too...
I live nearby but just wondering why I never been in this place and it was a lovely place.
We were really impressed with the quality and quantity of the filet. We also loved the ribs! Overall, a pretty good value for the island (little more than outback prices as steak houses go, but far far better) and definitely super tasty! Also a super precious little pooch works the lobby. We really enjoyed the food!
The mushroom appetizer was absolutely delicious. The steaks were cooked to perfection, they flavor wonderful, and you could almost cut them with a fork. We definitely recommend this restaurant. The rustic decor and the old pictures of Hawaiian cowboys was most interesting.
Dinner was great as usual...great service! Always nice to see the owners Ernie and Caroline visiting the tables.
We have been here before and the food is always consistently good and the wait staff always friendly and attentive. We live in the neighborhood and it is a good place to go for home style cooking.
If you are interested in prime rib, this is the place to go. It may not look like much on the outside but it is an outstanding restaurant. It is very pleasant on the inside
