All was good and will be back.
Here’s the thing about Kaiser Grille: you pay fine dining prices for average mass produced tourist food. It’s just OK. There are better options in town.
The hostess was very unfriendly, we were 15 min early and we knew that and had no issue waiting as we were coming from out of town and at an event earlier that day and unsure of the traffic so we thought better safe than sorry. Our server started out by bringing us our bottle of overpriced white wine in a timely manner. However we had to ask for a bucket of ice to keep it cold because it was warm that evening and we sat outside. We ordered the artichoke dip as an appetizer which they served with this awful toasted peices of what seemed like cut up old bread, it had an awful burnt flavor which the entire table agreed, so nobody ate it. We then ordered 3 entrees. My moms entree of ravioli was good and she enjoyed it. Another entree was baked Bolognese. It was some pasta with red sauce thrown in a bowl and then cheese quickly melted on top certainly not as advertised. Another entree was Caesar salad with grilled jumbo shrimp. I asked if the shrimp were fresh, I was told yes. The salad came out and the lettuce was limp and starting to turn brown the shrimp were tiny but situated in a such a way on the skewer they looked larger, the were at least 26 count per lb size. There were 3 tiny croutons on the entire salad and no fresh parmesan.
The salad was also very small and for a price tag of 18.00 it is absolutely not worth it. We ended up paying a large price tag for what we were ultimately charged, less the one entree and appetizer so 1 bottle of wine and one cocktail and 2 entrees was 115.00. There is at least a dozen fantastic restaraunts in palm springs. Do not make this one of your stops while there!
I ordered a beet salad which was mostly arugula and only 4 slices of beet on it. Not much blue cheese, either. The steak salad my husband ordered was just ordinary.
Wonderful location, consistently good food, friendly, attentive service and great outdoor dining. Always a pleasure. A++!!
We shared the seafood Fettuccine, and it was GREAT! We also shared a beet salad and the salad was wonderful too. Portions were very large,we were able to share. They were happy to do that generous splits in the kitchen
•The food is simply poor quality.
All meals exceĺlent. Pass on prome rib. Valentine's only three course. More in past years
Booked online, was asked for any special request, asked for small bouquet of flowers got nothing, heard them talking about at the front desk, very bright not even romantic, while seated we over heard the waiter telling the table next to use that they did not leave a big enough tip and ask for more money, food was okay but not worth the price we paid, will never recommend this place or return not a good experience
We went there for Valentine’s Day because I had a gift card from a friend. Probably the main reason why we picked that restaurant honestly. The food was excellent I had fish and that my husband had prime rib. We really enjoyed our meal. Ruth was our waitress and she was excellent. I must say that my friend noticed on the special menu that it said no gift cards and I was really shocked by that. I didn’t notice this special little blurb on the menu in regards to that policy and nothing was ever said when making reservations. Ruth checked it out and said because ours were purchased in the restaurant and not at Costco that they would honor them. Which was really great but I still don’t think it’s a good policy because they Shouldn’t sell their gift cards at Costco if they aren’t allowing people to use them anytime in the restaurant. Just saying.
The menu was limited as it was 2/14. That said it was very tasty. Things are ala carte. Pricey for just an entree. Should have included a salad. Or vegetables.
As we didn't order much - really never saw our waiter after the order taking. Had to ask for water Several times. Not real happy
Very nice setting.
We do enjoy dining here because of the food. BUT, OMG, some of the patrons look like they came in from rock climbing or straight from the pool. The sister restaurant in Palm Desert at least seems to have a semblance of a dress code. I am not suggesting formal wear, but I really don't want to see someone's pants falling off (and lack of underwear). DO NOT GO to this restaurant on Thursdays, it's a real zoo. Parking is impossible and the noise level will give you a profound headache.
Food was good-great variety. Noisy though.
All good.good menu choices for entrees and Deserts a good dining experience
Great location downtown. Service and food was spot on.
Great outdoor patio overlooking Palm Canyon Dr., with good food!
Fantastic service and food. Is always a treat to eat at Kaiser Grille
Don't sit in back on a busy night. Grill fans not adequate. We smelled like hamburgers when we got home. Everything had to be dry cleaned including my purse.
Delicious salmon, lovely patio dining!
Food was good, fast service! A bit noisy but tolerable. We will go back.
First time here as vacationers & last night of the vacation & so glad we got a great meal & very good staff! Everyone from the hostess to the servers & our waiter were great & very attentive. The food was excellent. Had the Lamb that fell off the bone & basically melted in your mouth. Delicious! The other meal was the chicken & it was cooked perfectly. The portions on both meals & appetizers were just the right size! There is plenty of variety on the menu too!
I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
While the food was very good, the service was dismal. It was a quiet evening and the restaurant was almost empty, yet we were totally ignored. However, I have to say the staff, when approached, was friendly and the manager very apologetic. It was disappointing the service did not improve even after we brought the lack of service to-the managers attention.
It was ok, but that’s all
A most enjoyable meal.
Friendly attentive staff.
Fresh , crispy, & flavorful Caesar salad.
The chicken-pesto-sundried tomato-broccoli penne was delicious.
The panna cotta & tiramisu were excellent.
Food very basic with very small portions, I mean very small my Chicken salad sandwich Had one TEASPOON of salad on it for $13.....
My wife did not like the Hanger Steak at all, which was recommended. It came nearly raw and was very tough. I had the lamp chops, which were ok. Good location.
We have been to this restaurant a couple of times in the last 3 months and have been repeatedly disappointed.
The Food is actually really good, but service is horrible.
Our waiter seemed incredibly distracted and out of it.
Took our order and rarely saw him again. Didn't check to see how the food was or if we wanted another cocktail. ( Our order was incorrect, btw)
In addition, we had to ask the person bussing the tables to get our check, As did 2 other tables around us.
Sadly, would not recommend this restaurant.
We always enjoy our time at Kaiser and try to get there a few times a month. Their steak salad is a regular choice of ours and it is always a tasty piece of meat. The restaurant has a great vibe, inside and out. We enjoy sitting outside, enjoying the great Palm Springs weather and watching all the people walk by. It's a great spot for dinner, drinks and people watching. And don't forget the valet parking in the back. The valet is great .... he is a great employee and 100% trustworthy.
Not enough waiters... our waitress had way too many tables... slow service. Usually good
