While a few of the reviews have been negative I would say that my dining experience was great!
The ribs are two thumbs up! My friend had the burger and it was perfectly prepared, presented and worth the price.
Both Entree’s were spot on. The one only complaint was not getting water refilled.
The people watching is epic from this location if you get an outside table.
Have been here several times and it never fails. The burrata bruschetta is outstanding
Service was completely off with timing of courses. Appetizer & 1st courses arrived at the same time. We dealt as the 1st course ordered was salads. however than the main courses arrived while we weren't even 1/2 way done with salads (& we aren't slow eaters). The waiter was puzzled when I pointed out we were not finished with our salads & asked him to return the food to the kitchen. Frustrating. Good wait staff paces delivery of courses. I dislike that waste of food that wasn't necessary. We didn't order dessert because we were afraid it would arrive as we started our main course! Drink refills never happened including asking if more alcohol was wanted. Food was delicious & beautifully presented but wait staff was not professional.
The ambiance is excellent. We had a view from the patio that is great for people watching. Had the meaty ribs which were fantastic!
Enjoyed our lunch outside.
Food was excellent as always. Hawaiian pizza was too spicy. The filet was excellent, juicy and tasty. Service was very good. Kaiser is one of our favorite places. Too bad the 3 course dinners have been discontinued!
The service was average. It took quite awhile to take our order. It also took quite awhile for them to return my credit card on payment. The food was just OK. The pizza and the baked bolognaise were both very good. The chicken fettucine was watery and the baked chicken was over cooked (burnt).
It is nice to sit outside and see all the people, however, it is very noisy. The motorcycles cruising Palm are deafening.
The $20 two course meal is a good value for the money.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices.
Reserved a table on a damp night. The overhead heaters were appreciated. Service was quick and competent.
First time at Kaiser, and what a treat. Very busy place. Lively bar crowd. Eclectic group of customers.
All 4 of the meals were excellent. Best rack of ribs I’ve ever had. Our server was excellent.
We sat in an area of the restaurant between the interior and outdoor covered dining. The area where
we were was overly bright for nighttime dining. Best to sit either inside or outside but not in between.
This is the only negative thing about this place. Will ask for other seating next time.
Service was inattentive, and slow.
service was very poor. two tables were seated and served drinks before we complained and got a waiter that was not covering our station to help us. We then ordered our meals and two of us ordered salads. The meal came and we had not gotten our salads. told them to cancel salads. very disorganized service platform and then took forever to get someone to pay and run our credit cards. won’t go back but pizzas were actually pretty good.
Night table by the street. Fun venue for people watching and great food. Pork chop was very good.
Dinner was good, seemed like an “off” night for the crew, though. We were seated quickly on the patio, which was great. It took several minutes for a server to approach us for drink orders and then several more minutes for drinks to arrive. Our server seemed unsure of the possibility of any menu adjustments we requested. Bread, which is usually quite good, was cold and stale. French onion soup was delicious and the salad entrees were also good. My entree did not get prepared as requested so had to wait for a replacement. As we finished dinner and were paying, the runner brought us a fresh basket of bread. Huh? Like I said, and off night. We will give it another try, though.
This used to be my favorite place in PS. However over the past year, I have seen a steady decline in food quality and management while there has been a rise in prices. I’m so sorry to see this decline. And can no longer recommend this restaurant.
We always have a few meals at Kaiser Grille on our vacations to Palm Springs. Good and consistent food and usually attentive service. On weekends the outdoor dining area is extremely popular and not always available. But it is the best area to sit unless it is really warm, then the rooms with AC win over! Great specialty cocktails and good starters and salads. A can’t miss when in Palm Springs.
My partner and I wanted a burger and we split the Kaiser Burger. It was thick, but a little dry. Also, we received potato chips with it, but then they did bring us fries when we asked. It came with a pickle. It was OK, but next time we have a burger craving in Palm Springs we might try another place. It has a great outdoor dining area with heaters and the servers were nice. Also, there was ample handicap parking in the rear.
Birthday dinner and early bird! Three item prefix menu outstanding! Pasta was so delicate and delicious!
Loved that we were able to dine outdoors at the large table with the fire pit.
Nice outside seating for a busy people watching Thursday evening. Ate light but would go back to try some other dishes.
We've been to Kaiser Grille in Palm Springs many times and it's always been consistently good food, service, etc., etc... We went last nights (and brought friends who hadn't been there before), and it was a total melt down. The Asian Chicken Salad (which I've had at least 8 times over the past year) came on a smaller plate, had thin (almost invisible) slices of old dried chicken, resting on a very bland bed of lettuce (the Caesar Salad was the same way). We should have taken a pictures of our entree salads - they were pathetic! We asked for bread and only got bread and butter plates. It was a very bad experience and we were actually quite shocked since Kaiser Grille Palm Springs has been our mainstay - it was always the place we could go and count on consistently good food. WHAT HAPPENED!!!??? I rated it well (not sure why). I guess just out of sympathy since it's always been so good. Last chance folks! We'll go 1 more time and hopefully this review helps you out - you need to really get it back on track or there will be a nice big retail space on the corner of S. Palm Canyon and W Arenas Rd for sale. People will not go there if they have the kind of entrees we were served. Come on guys - pay attention!
We always enjoy our meals at Kaiser Grille. They never disappoint.
The location downtown is awesome - right in the thick of things. We were seated inside towards the back near the kitchen so not ideal, but it didn't take away from our overall experience. However if we had been outside we could have had a nice view of Palm Canyon. Overall service and food was very good!
We were in Palm Springs for some events during Modernism week. I made reservations on my iPhone while my daughter was driving us back from doing some shopping. We were cordially greeted when we arrived and were promptly seated. Our waiter welcomed us and helped us with our drink selections while we studied the menu. He graciously answered our questions and took our order. Food was outstanding and the service was great. I will certainly enjoy more meals at Kaiser Grill when I return to Palm Springs. I will also highly recommend the restaurant.
Great business lunch. Service and food were both excellent.
Amazing as always. From their pizza, open face steak sandwich to the chicken Alfredo. We always enjoy our meal.
Didn't like staff sitting right behind us all having meals , didn't think it was appropriate. Other than that, it's a nice place and one of my favorites
Waited for a few minutes upon arrival. Was seated on a very bright chilly patio. Service was choppy-waiter forgot what I ordered and had to come back.
On the main stret, seating outdoors next to sidewalk. Felt very much like a casino cafeteria to me.The food was prosaic, and we agreed it was about as good as Sizzler. So, no, not next time.
All was good and will be back.
Very enjoyable an memorable meal! Although we were seated on the patio, it was warm enough and the passing traffic was fun to watch. Food was great and service was spectacular. We will be back again when we visit Palm Springs next time.
Here’s the thing about Kaiser Grille: you pay fine dining prices for average mass produced tourist food. It’s just OK. There are better options in town.
The hostess was very unfriendly, we were 15 min early and we knew that and had no issue waiting as we were coming from out of town and at an event earlier that day and unsure of the traffic so we thought better safe than sorry. Our server started out by bringing us our bottle of overpriced white wine in a timely manner. However we had to ask for a bucket of ice to keep it cold because it was warm that evening and we sat outside. We ordered the artichoke dip as an appetizer which they served with this awful toasted peices of what seemed like cut up old bread, it had an awful burnt flavor which the entire table agreed, so nobody ate it. We then ordered 3 entrees. My moms entree of ravioli was good and she enjoyed it. Another entree was baked Bolognese. It was some pasta with red sauce thrown in a bowl and then cheese quickly melted on top certainly not as advertised. Another entree was Caesar salad with grilled jumbo shrimp. I asked if the shrimp were fresh, I was told yes. The salad came out and the lettuce was limp and starting to turn brown the shrimp were tiny but situated in a such a way on the skewer they looked larger, the were at least 26 count per lb size. There were 3 tiny croutons on the entire salad and no fresh parmesan.
The salad was also very small and for a price tag of 18.00 it is absolutely not worth it. We ended up paying a large price tag for what we were ultimately charged, less the one entree and appetizer so 1 bottle of wine and one cocktail and 2 entrees was 115.00. There is at least a dozen fantastic restaraunts in palm springs. Do not make this one of your stops while there!
I ordered a beet salad which was mostly arugula and only 4 slices of beet on it. Not much blue cheese, either. The steak salad my husband ordered was just ordinary.
Wonderful location, consistently good food, friendly, attentive service and great outdoor dining. Always a pleasure. A++!!
We shared the seafood Fettuccine, and it was GREAT! We also shared a beet salad and the salad was wonderful too. Portions were very large,we were able to share. They were happy to do that generous splits in the kitchen
•The food is simply poor quality.
All meals exceĺlent. Pass on prome rib. Valentine's only three course. More in past years
Booked online, was asked for any special request, asked for small bouquet of flowers got nothing, heard them talking about at the front desk, very bright not even romantic, while seated we over heard the waiter telling the table next to use that they did not leave a big enough tip and ask for more money, food was okay but not worth the price we paid, will never recommend this place or return not a good experience
We went there for Valentine’s Day because I had a gift card from a friend. Probably the main reason why we picked that restaurant honestly. The food was excellent I had fish and that my husband had prime rib. We really enjoyed our meal. Ruth was our waitress and she was excellent. I must say that my friend noticed on the special menu that it said no gift cards and I was really shocked by that. I didn’t notice this special little blurb on the menu in regards to that policy and nothing was ever said when making reservations. Ruth checked it out and said because ours were purchased in the restaurant and not at Costco that they would honor them. Which was really great but I still don’t think it’s a good policy because they Shouldn’t sell their gift cards at Costco if they aren’t allowing people to use them anytime in the restaurant. Just saying.
