Dined here Christmas Eve, and had a wonderful meal with my family! The service was very good, as was the food! The beef short rib and seafood pasta were both excellent choices! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The food was excellent and the service even better.
We asked for a quiet booth for Christmas Eve and they gave us a fabulous booth. It made a very special evening for us. Thank you so
Tried the restaurant on a lark and was quite pleasantly surprised. Great food and excellent service. Looking forward to dining there again.
Had the Surf & Turf solve coal for a second tine & it was as good as the first. Dinner included soup or salad, entree with mashed potatoes & vegetable and dessert. Excellent value!
Ambiance was comfortable, well lighted with great and attentive services as soon as we walked through the door. Our server, Bryan, was most attentive refilling our water glasses, checking in on us, and confirming that this establishment was once Ruth Chris.
Notice all staff members from all levels of service work well together.
Food was good and priced okay. Their three course surf and turf special was well valued. I had the rib eye steak which was grilled well, good size piece, though somewhat lacking in flavor. It filled the tummy and I was satisfied.
Was appreciative receiving a call on behalf of the restaurant the next day inquiring about our dining experience. They really take time and value their customers.
Eric is an excellent manager and most of the staff were transported to Kaiser Grille directly from the former Hog's Breath (which we miss!). There is always a follow up phone call asking our dining experience from the previous evening. Just a pleasure to go there and relax and enjoy the excellent food.
Thought we'd try Kaiser since its affiliated w/Jackalope & Chop House...both of which are wonderful!
Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed :( the service was excellent from the hostess, to our Server to the Mgr. But the food...not so much.
We ordered wedge salads that were small and just mediocre. There is a larger portion you can order which is what we would do next time.
I had filet mignon that I asked to be prepared med-well that looked like it had been nuked in the good ole microwave...yikes! Lacked flavor & the color looked almost gray.
My husband had the New York that was undercooked and lacked flavor.
We had creme Brule for dessert...which was by far the highlight of the meal.
Will definitely stick with other affiliated restaurants!!!
Paige was our waitperson on our recent visit. Her attention to detail was even better then expected. The steak was very tender and delecious. My partners pork chop was very flavorful.
Didn't get a chance to have dessert, but sounded very good.
The food was not hot. The ribs were all fat smothered in sauce to disguise the fat. The sand dabs were mushy, not crisp like they should be. The room felt like an open bus station. No carpet on the concrete floors, so the sound carried. Very noisy. Sad, because we loved to go there when it was the Chop House. Won't go back.
Went there with a group of friends who had been there before and said how good it was, they were telling the truth. The food was really reasonably priced and delicious. My husband had a pork chop which he said was the best he has ever had. I tasted it and he was write. I had a crab, shrimp dish which was wonderful as well. Dessert came with our special that night, I had the creme brûlée and it was done to perfection. Next time I am back in Palm Desert this has been bumped up to my favorite there.
We took our daughter and her family during Thanksgiving week and returned the past week to enjoy the same great service and very good food as we did on our earlier visit. Both servers were very attentive without being over bearing. We will be back again soon. Suggest reservations and requesting a booth unless you have a large party
The hostess, Susie warmly welcomed me to the restaurant and set the stage for a very enjoyable dining experience. I was dining alone - Susie and other staff went out of their way to stop by my table and check on me throughout the evening. The bacon-wrapped pork tenderloins served over sautéed spinach were delicious! I will definitely return next time I'm in town. And when was the last time this happened to you - someone from the restaurant called the following day to see how my dining experience was. That was a first for me!
I had the Surf & Turf Special... 4 Oz Filet & a small Lobster tail. The meal was excellent, size perfect & it included soup or salad and dessert for $45. Great meal.
I like this place! Live entertainment that is enjoyable but not obtrusive, great service & excellent food.
This was my second visit & it was just as good on the first.
We're from out of town, so it's always risky picking somewhere that you've never visited before or heard of. We made reservations, and my request to be in a booth was accommodated. We all enjoyed our dinners - I had the crab stuffed sole, my husband had the hangar steak, and our friend had the surf and turf special. I also loved the colors on the tables of orange and yellow - so fun and inviting! All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. If we're ever back in the area again, I'm sure we'll go back!
A good well presented meal. For the class of restaurant I would expect a nicer looking menu
Overall this restaurant met out expectations. The food and service were both good and we had no complaints. The atmosphere is a little basic and lacks anything that would be memorable. Nevertheless, the food and service were good.
Third time we've been here, and each time our impression is the same: beautiful, upper class restaurant with great, warm service, and almost gourmet food. We really like the place, and the food is very good, but just not what we expect for the ambiance and price. We just discovered half price wine Wednesday, when by the bottle, or by the glass, is half price. Great buy, and we will be back from time to time.
The food is average, everyday fare. The fish dishes are generally overcooked. This was our second visit on as many weeks. It meet our expectation. Service is good.
One of us had the Mahi Mahi. It was tough and not very tasty.
The other dish Lobster ravioli tasted like it was cheese ravioli. The shrimps that came with the ravioli were good. I just did not like that the whole dish was drenched with a heavy gooey sauce.
Great resturant! We had a party of 8 with 4 adults and 4 kids. Food was very good, service was great and very well priced.
Lots of choices and the ones we sampled were excellent. And best of all, it was a quiet restaurant - hard to find in an era of "no attention to sound absorption". Very enjoyable dinner.
If you're a foodie, or just looking for an exceptional dining experience, this is the place. An unassuming exterior opens to a terrific dining experience! Nicely varied menu with well-crafted food. The service was outstanding - friendly, knowledgable, appropriately attentive. EVERY time I am in Palm Desert, I will eat here.
I took my Wife to Kaiser Grill for her birthday and we enjoyed both our dinners.
Her steak was excellent and my seafood pasta was delicious.
A birthday dessert was presented to us at the end of our meal.
I would recommend Kaiser Grill to anyone.
Starting off with being seated immediately when we arrived for our reservation, check. Great service, check. Flavorful and great quality food, check. Not being rushed, check. All around a great evening!
Great hidden treasure of the locals. Be sure to check our happy hour!
Good food, Good service & nice table. My Wife and I brought a friend here from out of town and we really enjoyed our experience.
Take a trip back in time to the kind of eatery that your parents would have taken you to for a celebration treat or the kind of place they would sneak off too to get away from the kids and rekindle the romance!
Good choice of mains and starters of classic steak house dishes done properly. Warm attentive service and the atmosphere to match.
This is Admen meets juicy steak…...
Prime rib was great. The server was attentive. It was slow so the noise wasn't a problem. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back!
Very good food and service but very high noise level, as 2 of our group have hearing aids we asked to be moved to a back room. The staff complied. Noise level was 1/3 of the level as you enter. We had the sunset menu deal food 3 course meal for the price of an entre. Food was excellent, service was great.
Very nice. Great service. Outstanding food. Highly recommend.
Always great! The staff is awesome. We will continue to enjoy this restaurant.
Noise level in the bar was very loud. While it was live music and good music I would not have wanted to eat in the bar because of that.
Service could have been better. Would have like the service person to come to the table more often. I would have ordered a glass of wine but server never came back .
First of all, we were warmly greeted upon entering. The atmosphere is relaxing and understated, but very trendy. We were a table of 4. Our entrees included a petite filet mignon, short ribs, and the rib eye. All were cooked to perfection and perfectly flavored. Our evening was enhanced by an efficient and friendly server named Paige. She was an absolute delight and very attentive. It was an all around A+ experience.
When we arrived, there was a very loud group of diners making a considerable amount of noise. We decided to cancel our reservations and seek a more comfortable place to have dinner. The hostess advised that she had a booth in the rear of the which was out of the noise and much more to our desire for a comfortable night out. We took her advise and had a very good dinner.
Our waitress, Paige, was exceptional in providing service. We dine there quite often and will seek her out in the future.
All in all , a nice night out
We celebrated a birthday at our table and brought our own wine. The corkage was very reasonable and the night was perfect from the time we sat down till we left. Paige was very professional...always there at the right time and did a great job. She even followed up with a call to thank us for dining with them. It turned the night very personal. We will dine again.
We have been to KG Palm Desert several times. It's a little pricey for the atmosphere and the food quality. Maybe the salad should be included with the entree. Prices are almost the same as Roy's up the street but atmosphere and the selection and quality of food aren't even close.
There were very large family groups with very small children this night but children were well-behaved. Our service has always been excellent at KG. However, I don't like the personal phone calls. The first was 40 minutes before our Open Table reservation to confirm we're still coming. And, then another call the next day to see if we enjoyed our dinners.
IMHO, KG is not a destination for a special occasion and menu prices are too high for it to be our go-to neighborhood restaurant.
The service was awesome and the staff was super friendly. The food was delicious!
Our group of 4 had a wonderful dining experience. We all ordered different entrees and everyone was happy with what they received. Will definitely be back.
Our dinners were all good but very salty. Everyone agreed.
