Had dinner with friends - all 4 of us had excellent meals, service was timely, attentive and not obtrusive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
These are the cons:
1. The place was basically empty but it still took over 1/2 hr to receive the entries. 3 of us ordered pork chops & they all came out well done even though they were ordered medium to medium rare. They took one back to redo it & that one was correct. The other was mahi-mahi which was so dry I needed lots of lemon & more sauce so it didn’t stick in my throat.
2. Eric, the owner, has a habit of stopping by all the tables which could be a good thing if he only knew when to leave. He stayed at our table for at least 15 minutes.
We were visiting with old friends & trying to catch up on the news. The men seemed ok with this but the 2 women were not!
These are the pros:
1. The waiter, Brian.
2. Wine Wednesday was 1/2 off bottles.
3. Owner gave us 2 free desserts for the bad food. Cheesecake was excellent.
Good food, service and manager were so very nice. Very loud, lot more kids then expected, but big open rooms and bar and music make it for a louder setting then we wanted, but overall good food and staff!
I've been at this restaurant several times and they never disappoint me. The food is always excellent, the service is always great and I will keep coming back.
Wonderful service and great food! Highly recommend. Prime rib dinner was excellent as was filet mignon.
Family get-together celebrating birthday and graduation. Party of 8 included a 4 year old and an 18 month old. They had the high chair set up with drop cloth underneath! Kid's menu was great and coloring for the little ones kept them occupied. Steak was outstanding (filet and rib eye). Salads very good too. Two people had the lobster ravioli and raved about it. Great service! Highly recommended.
We decided on Kaiser Grille since we had tried the Chop House. The service was good.
My husband loved his Ribeye steak. I felt mine was well done instead of medium well which made it a little tough. Other than that, very nice atmosphere. Went to the bar after, Bartender was very nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely return.
Staff is exceptional. Friendly, helpful and very accommodating . Food was just fair.
Our waitress Jackie was fabulous. Very personable and made us feel welcome. I bet next time we come in she'll remember our names. Gave a good recommendations about the menu.
since the hostess to Corine our server ...everything was fabulous, the manager was very attentive, the crew was very helpful and, the food was delicious i ordered the dinner special, the chicken was juicy and tasted so good, my husband had the usual the filet mignon and was amazing, we had 2 bottles of the kaiser grille private label merlot and I was astonished with the delicious flavor, since we always order ferrari carano or meiomi but the house wine was very smooth and fruity, not too dry; can't wait for my next visit.
The service was excellent, the food was superb. Great, great restaurant. We will definitely return!
I had heard about the KG for a long time and finally decided to try it. I ordered the prime rib special with scallop potatoes. The prime rib was tough even with their special steak knife. There was a lot of gristle and fat. The flavor was not impressive. The potatoes looked good but were also short on flavor. My wife had the smoked salmon plate and it was also tasteless. But - the service was exceptional. Our server was delightful. The manager came by our table a couple of times but never asked how we liked the food.
We had a delicious dinner and a great server. Our wine choice was very good. Atmosphere nice. Nice birthday dessert.
Was ok. Lots of older people. Not there yet
Had great service from the server who was very knowledgable and efficient
Our last night visiting my son & future daughter-in-law before we headed back to the cold! Service was excellent, as was the food. We will definitely be back when we visit again.
We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday, they had us at a round table which is always good when you are a group, had a nice birthday card/greeting on the table, we were never rushed, we were catered to, my husband received a delicious birthday desert, candle and all. It was a great night of good food, good service and would definitely go again and recommend it.
We have been to Palm Desert and many of its finest restaurants many times over the years, but somehow we never had been to Kaiser Grille. It is too bad it took us this long to experience this great restaurant. It is certainly one of the best restaurants we have found in Palm Desert. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The pace of service is perfect and one’s needs are anticipated and met graciously. The ambience is informal and a little noisy; nothing at all offensive.
The menu has a good variety to chose from; there should be no problem finding something you will like. That goes for appetizers, entree’s, sides, desserts. The wine selection is good and reasonably priced.
My wife’s sole was garnished with crab, shrimp and spinach; it was cooked to perfection and was delicious. I had one of the nightly the specials with New England clam chowder (I’m from Boston; the “chowda” was great), 2 small filet medallions with parmesan risotto (excellent) and a trio of desserts (sorbet, creme brulee, chocolate cake). Outstanding.
We will definitely make Kaiser Grille Palm Desert a must-do whenever we visit Palm Desert. Highly recommended. Try it, you’ll like it! Buon appetito!
Wonder steaks and seafood. Delightful salads and deserts. Outstanding service
Food was expertly prepared and Service was first class .
Everyone in our group had a fabulous meal. We’re so happy that Kaiser Grill is back in Palm Desert.
My filet was perfectly cooked, as was my moms’s ribeye. Both were delicious with great seasoning. Our appetizer, the mussels, came in an amazingly tasty lemongrass curry sauce (I highly recommend dipping your bread into the sauce!). My daughter’s kid’s cheeseburger was a big burger, but also very good. Our side of rice was a bit hard, but didn’t detract much from the rest of the food, which was great. Dessert molten chocolate cake was a perfect end to our dinner. Thanks to Morgan for being an outstanding server.
The room was crowded. There was a piano player in the bar and the singer was good I think but she was inaudible due to the noise level. Unpleasantly noisy.
Food was great. Pleased even Mr & Mrs Picky plus 2 real foodies. Woman server was efficient but catered to Mr Picky even though I was picking up the check. Servers should assume that anyone at the table is paying and treat them all fairly. We will return!
Had family visiting glad we chose Kaiser Grill. Food and service was excellent.
Noisy environment...Had to return steak; ordered medium and received well. Replacement steak was somewhat on the rare side, but at this point with my spouse having eaten 1/3 of her meal, I accepted it. Rather than cut into the middle I chose to cut around the edges which gave me the medium cookness. The decor on the window sill had a wine bottle with half the label torn off. I would think a "high end" restaurant such as Kaiser would replace the bottle. The manager served me a cup of soup because of the steak problem, which was quite nice of him. But.....why is it you do not have soup spoons? The soup was served with a tablespoon utensil.
Was a special event for my wife and I but didn't turn out special at all.
Whenever we come to the desert Kaiser Grille is a must for dinner. Their Lobster Ravioli is divine. The mashed potatoes are so good and we love their bar selection. The servers are always so attentive. This place is low key yet refined.
The service was stellar - prompt and friendly. I had a couple of appetizers for dinner - a cup of cream of asparagus soup, which was amazing. And the crabcake, which was quite large for an appetizer portion. Plenty for a meal! It was a bit too spicy for my taste, but still a very good dish.
Hubby loved his prime rib and my Caeser salad was excellent. He was not too fond of the clam chowder and my macadamian crusted mahi mahi was burned on the bottom and over cooked. Our server was cute and spirited and service was quick.. We's go back again, and avoid the fish products nexttime! :)
We went there for my birthday and were royally treated. However, the place was so noisy it made the whole evening a bit uncomfortable. Also, I had the prime rib special because it was Friday, and I'm sorry to say it had absolutely no flavor. It was the most tasteless prime rib I have ever had. My wife had the rack of barbecued ribs and they were quite good.
This is our first time and it was a wonderful experience. This restaurant is a ‘well-oiled ‘ machine! Everyone is in synch and all runs very smoothly. It was fascinating to watch! Ok. About the service, food, etc. Wonderful!! The manager greeted us; talked to the manager and our waitress, Amber was great! She’s also, adorable! Don’t know when we’ll be back out west, but those of you who are - go to Kaisers!!!!!
Visiting from NJ had a very nice dinner with friends. Good food and very friendly staff.
Menu offers mall selection of dishes the kitchen does well. Everything we’ve had has been excellent. Mixed drinks are done right as well. Live music is a bonus. Early bird dinner menu offers a variety so nearly anyone should find something, and its a great deal.
Good meal, great service and half price wine bottle night!
The service was excellent. Our waitress told us about the special which was roasted duck. I decided to order the duck and it was excellent. I also ordered a local craft beer which she recommended and it also was very good. My wife ordered their salmon and she loved it.
The atmosphere was nice and quiet and we were placed in a corner booth. I highly recommend this establishment.
Excellent. Highly recommended. Will be back. Loved it.
The 2-star rating was a little off. Our Ribeye steak and Lamb chops were $44 and $32 respectively but very delicious and cooked to perfection. What made the night memorable for my Mother and I was the attention we got from Brian our waiter and ESPECIALLY Noel, the Manager. Noel was so attentive and sincere regarding our dining experience, my Mother immediately declared Kaiser's was her favourite restaurant of our trip. Well done. We shall be back.
Food was fantastic and our service was excellent. The only disappointment was that they had sold out of key lime pie!
great food, service and value the owner also came to check if ever thing was good
Nice atmosphere, good food and very good service.
