We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Kai. The food was almost too beautiful to eat. Delicious as well and unusual presentations.
The service was superb. I have already recommended it to other friends.
We appreciated the Chef allowing us to choose our own journey tasting menu and the beautiful way he presented his food.
Enjoyed our evening at Kai. Beautiful view of the mountains in the sunset. Excellent service and very creative cuisine. Escargots, Foie Gras, Lobster, tenderloin of buffalo. Local Native American influence on the food. Wonderful! Will return.
From exquisite service to outstanding food in a perfect ambience setting, Kai continues to demonstrate why it is considered the best restaurant in the Valley. Dining at Kai is an epicurean experience that I have not found anywhere else in the Valley other than perhaps at Binkley's. The price may break the piggy bank, but well worth it. Start saving your pennies!
Great great great
Great food! Amazing service!
The best restaurant in Arizona.
Probably best restaurant in Phoenix-Scottsdale are
Excellent food. Had the fish trio: black cod, prawn, and scallop with a sauce. Presentation was superb. Just like the service.
Outstanding dining experience with superb service and attention to detail. Unbelievably innovative menu selections, so why choose . . . go for tasting menu unless you arrive late like I did. Be prepared to be pampered and surprised. Every aspect was a work of art. Great feeling when an establishment "plants a special seed" and exceeds your expectations.
Best meal we have ever had! The service is truly remarkable and a defining part of the dinner journey.
This place is fantastic. We always come here when in town. The buffalo is to di e fo r. Th s service impeccable.
Wonderful experience, very interesting food and fantastic service.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The tastes, visual presentation along with the service was truly extraordinary.
Kai is outstanding as always! The Best in Arizona!
Third visit, same superior experience. Think it the best restaurant in Arizona, superior imaginative food, generally excellent wine pairings, ambient setting, astounding service.
We'll be back on next visit to AZ.
A distinct cuisine with impeccable service. Each item was delicious-blends of multiple spices, grains, fruits. Exceptional all the way.
Truly the best restaurant in Phoenix. Beautiful setting, innovative food and incredible service. We've been all over the world and Kai has the best service right down to the valet parking that we've experienced.
The wine list is great as well.
Only note: Prices are not for the faint of heart but a good value for what we received. We go often.
This was one of the best meals we have ever had--right up there with French Laundry (Yountville, CA) and Janos (Tucson, AZ). And, hard to believe, the service was even better. Every person in the place is treated like a King or Queen, never having to ask for even a little more water. I wish I could remember everything we had, it was all incredible, but the consensus was that the Buffalo and chocolate suffoule were the winners. I would doubt seriously if there is anything on the menu that isn't incredible, all locally grown and organic from the local reservation. Our server, Jackson, was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and gracious. They have valet parking and when we left, Jackson texted the parking lot and our car was waiting for us with a personal greeting. Personnel thank you cards addressed to us and our dinner companions, and 4 bottles of water waiting for us in the car! Talk about feeling over-the-top special. KAI is expensive but you sure get what you pay for, glorious food, service, and wine!
Traveled and eaten around the world and this was one of the more unique and wonderful experiences I have had. Service was outstanding and frankly unmatched at any other place.
When we arrived at the resort, there was no valet to be found. Had to self park, and that's a bit of a hike (up hill). Placed us in a side room with a large party, and this negatively impacted the level of service we received. Given the lack of natural light, the room where we were seated felt like we were in a basement.
Food was good, but not outstanding. Wine selection was polarized, with choices, in general, limited to bottles priced at $500 to $1000, or were available at my local grocery.
In total, not worth the price.
The finest dining experience we have ever had. Every staff member seemed genuinely interested in our party having a truly unique experience. It will be a long time, if ever, before Kai's service is duplicated. Please make sure you experience this once in a lifetime restaurant.
It was my sister’s birthday so she flew out of Portland to visit me. Jeremy and team provided the very best service!!
We enjoyed every single dish ordered (a few ordered for us by Jeremy) - which included the escargots, the foie gras, and the duck entree. They provided the most beautiful and generous tray of birthday desserts too as well as a card and special gift waiting in our car (from valet).
Impressive, impeccable and memorable dining experience... definitely can’t wait to go back to this special place and learn more about the Pimas. Love!
Outstanding experience. Wonderful service from Kevin and company. This is fine dining at its best!
One of the best restaurants, I have been at.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Wonderful evening. T
Stellar 5 star experience. One of the best meals of my life.
The staff at Kai goes all out to ensure you feel pampered. The food is artful, wait staff is knowledgeable and personable. I could have done without a few "is there anything else we can do for you?" though. What I really loved (besides the incredible lobster dish and garden salad) was that our car was pulled up and waiting for us when we exited and supplied with two bottles of water (Voss!) and a last goodie package, just in case we had forgotten about Kai in the three minutes since we left the dining room. Expect your meal to take about 3 hours. And of course all this pampering costs quite a bit.
Our second visit to Kai surpasses our initial experience which is still hard to comprehend. It is a cultural dining journey that carries one into a special state.
This restaurant was one of our favorites and we have traveled all over the world after award winning restaurants!
We have eaten here many times and have never been a bit disappointed....
KAI, The-Best-Thing Arizona will produce in my lifetime.
This is a great place to splurge for a special dinner. We have been here twice in 7 years and it is without a doubt, the best service we have experienced.
The food is excellent and the service unrivaled. Presentation and explanation of ingredients is impressive. Look no further for a true 5 star experience.
As always dinner was a totally unique experience fit for a special occasion such as our wedding anniversary. The service was impeccable, the food artfully presented, the wine perfectly matched to each course. Memorable evening, anxious to return in the near future.
Excellent food, small portions, expensive. Wine list was also very expensive, although there were a few reasonably-priced gems.
The service is over-the-top obsequious and pretentious. the handwritten card and honey with two tiny muffins for our breakfast left at our room was a nice gesture, but the muffins could have been full-sized, as they are from other restaurants, for the prices they charge. The note, although nice, was also unnecessary.
The meal felt more like a performance than a fine dining experience. The performance overwhelmed the food. The food is good enough to stand on it's own without every detail being explained of every dish.
The food was fantastic. Our server Kevin was great. It was a wonderful experience.
Really delicious and creative cuisine! Outstanding service! Will definitely return! Love this place!
Arizona's best restaurant, and comparable to a European 3-star Michelin restaurant. Excellent food, creatively prepared and presented. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Be prepared for the an expensive bill.
impeccable!! Amazing meal Every dish was excellent. We went all out with the "Journey" and wine pairing and it was just spectacular. Our 5 year old was with us and we really appreciated being seated in the wine room. He ate all his mac n cheese and behaved completely- thankfully! Can't wait to come back.
The food, staff, and experience was phenomenal!
