Our meals were disappointing. The fish cheeks were over cooked. The Buffalo was way too spicy, even though diner was told it was not. The lamb was not tender, and the sauce overpowered it. The noise level was higher than expected.
Service was impeccable and wine list was outstanding. But because of food overall experience was disappointing.

Decided to take my girlfriend here for her birthday. Right decision x1000. The service from beginning to end was impeccable. The food was tastefully creative and as artsy as you can get on a plate. I definitely recommend dining here for any occasion

Innovative, fun place to dine. Beautiful artwork, great view of the sunset over the mountain. Food is creative and the wine list very nice. While some of the food was not to our individual taste (I couldn't get my arms or taste buds around what we are jokingly called meat brule which was on the bison trio platter) we really enjoyed some of the other items, especially the pumpkin squash soup. Everything was beautifully presented.

Kai was an overall amazing experience. From the moment you sit down you are surrounded by local art and the servers give you an education about the property, the decor and the style of cooking. This all happens before you even look at the menu. The food was amazing, the flavors were incredible. One of the best dining experiences of my life. Kai is very pricey, but you can't put a price tag on an amazing experience!

Fine dining at its best! Food expertly prepared, presented and each bite a treasure to taste. Awesome evening with informative history about Pima and Maricopa history which accompanied each course. Dining at Kai is a memorable occasion.

I have eaten at most every great restaurant in this country, every celebrity chef place, blah blah. This is the best, most creative food I have ever eaten. Twice now, 4 years apart, two of the best meals I've ever had.

The initial intro may feel a bit indulgent (pompous?) but really it's part of the experience. Everyone on the service team knows the food and can answer any question.

I cannot rec'd this experience higher. Amazing.

Went here hoping for a great southwest foodie experience and they did not disappoint! Great service, beautiful setting and a wonderful meal. Waiter explained all the local ingredients and how native american tribes have grown and harvested these for centuries as part of their diet. Really nice native american music quietly playing in backround is very zen as are the various paintings that adorn the walls. Overall a really nice night for both of us. Oh and for you foodies that need a cheesesteak after your meal to fill up, that didn't happen here...we were stuffed! Go and enjoy!!!

Expect more than a meal at Kai....expect an experience. The food and service were fantastic, but the little extras are what make Kai truly amazing. The amuse bouche, the little treats at the end, the delightful Arizona rain bowl, the view, etc.

Jackson was our primary server, but there was a crew of several individuals helping execute this amazing dining experience. If you appreciate delicious food artfully prepared with care and skill, you will love Kai.

My mother and I had dinner at Kai as part our annual tradition to go to a very nice meal for her birthday. This was the best restaurant so far. We ordered the full journey tasting menu and it was just that, a journey. It took us a little over 3 hours to get through all of the courses, but every minute was amazing. The food was top-notch and they took advantage of your sense of smell in unique ways as well which was very fun. I don't want to go into too much detail as I think the discovery was part of the experience. Suffice to say I was not disappointed in one course. But what really makes the cost worth it was the service. I have never been treated so well in an establishment in all my life. They treated my mother like a queen on her birthday, I could not have asked for more. 10/10 would recommend for a special occasion.

Food was good, tended to use alot of bread in,apps to extend, would have been better without filler. Service was good, had to pour my wine twice, no big deal but they are supposed to do it. And with the prices they charge no excuse. I have dined at the French Laundry in Oakville, ca. KAI is not close at all, best to go in with moderate expectations and hopefully be surprised. It was a very pleasant experience.

The service at this restaurant is its most outstanding feature. The food is very creative, being locally sourced, and the chef combines attractive presentation with interesting ingredients and tastes. The staff asked for feedback on the courses, and brought us two different desserts after we expressed a lack of enthusiasm about the first effort. It is a dining experience, so prepare to relax and enjoy.

From exquisite service to outstanding food in a perfect ambience setting, Kai continues to demonstrate why it is considered the best restaurant in the Valley. Dining at Kai is an epicurean experience that I have not found anywhere else in the Valley other than perhaps at Binkley's. The price may break the piggy bank, but well worth it. Start saving your pennies!

Outstanding dining experience with superb service and attention to detail. Unbelievably innovative menu selections, so why choose . . . go for tasting menu unless you arrive late like I did. Be prepared to be pampered and surprised. Every aspect was a work of art. Great feeling when an establishment "plants a special seed" and exceeds your expectations.
