The restaurant is beautiful and the service is incredible. The only complaint that I have is that you can easily hear conversation of the table next to you. We would have enjoyed our experience more if we felt are conversations were not being overheard.

Kai food and service were absolutely outstanding. They provided one of the best meals my husband and I have experienced. We are Foodies and love to experience high end restaurants. Kai lived up to its reputation. We hightly recommend it!

I've had the opportunity to eat at many of the best restaurants in the United States and Paris and I can say without a doubt that Kai compares favorably with some of the best. A great room and outstanding attentive service (including the reservationists) head the front of the house while Chef O'Dowd's adept hand creates mesmerizing dishes marrying familiar and unfamiliar ingredients that wow with each bite. Pricey to be sure this is absolutley 5-Diamond dining and if Michelin rated restaurants in Phoenix I've no doubt Kai would land 2 or possibly even 3 stars.

The souffle, the buffalo, and the bread basket are all very memorable.

You are in for an experience for the evening. Kai is locate din the Sheraton resort, far from the casino civilization. You are greeted by a most gracious host, who in our case pronounced our name correctly and wished us a Happy Anniversary. Our table faced the windows looking west into the resort and western view of the Gila River Indian Community, it was fantastic as the sun set. Our server was Quentin and Joshua, who greeted us and told us all about the Gila Indian community, and Kai's association with it. We elected to go with the Journey Thirteen Course Tasting Menu, one with wine and expanded wine to experience all that Kai has to offer, and wonderful wine parings with each dish. Expect to be t

Kai lived up to our lofty expectations and more. Great Bar. Food was exceptional. Creative use of ingredients and preparation. Beautiful presentation. Service was perfect (special commendations to Quentin). We have eaten in top restaurants in the SF Bay Area, Napa, Europe, Las Vegas, etc. This deserves to be rated with the best.

Food was unbeatable. Service was over the top as a number of people looked after our table and delivered our food. SSmall, quiet spot with very little activity and atmosphere, but the delicious food made this an exceptional experience. If I ever travel back to Phoenix I will definitely return to Kai.

Spectacular in all respects! This is unquestionably the Top Fine Dining restaurant in the Valley of the Sun! The Cuisine is top notch and very imaginative. There is no peer or restaurant to compare it to in the area. The panorama view at sundown is spectacular! The service is flawless. Get ready to enjoy a very comfortable evening! We did; BOTH nights!!!

My husband and I chose Kai to celebrate my birthday. I've read many great reviews and my experience was as great as I expected it would be. The food, without exception, was high quality and artfully prepared. We loved the lobster degustation and my lamb was exceptional. Our complimentary dessert was delicious and more generous than we could finish.

The service was fantastic; friendly and perfectly timed. Thank you for a memorable celebration.

We went for our anniversary. The service is elegant and attentive, without being overwhelming. The menu is diverse and unique with wonderful local Indian delicacies like Saguaro seeds, Cholla oil, Buffalo, etc. We tried venison and buffalo and both were extraordinary. The dessert mole chocolate souflee is incredible!

Took my husband here for his birthday and had a wonderful time. My husband is in the food industry so I wanted to take him somewhere truly unique. In reading the menu in advance on line, I was dying to try the cocktails and they lived up to their glowing descriptions. The service was solicitous but friendly and all the diners were having a wonderful time sharing comments about the food and gorgeous sunset. The restaurant provided us both with complimentary dessert for my husband's birthday which was unexpected and the sweet corn cheesecake managed to be both rich and light at the same time - wonderful!

I have only had one other dining experience that compared to this perfectly choreographed culinary sow. My wife and I were awed by the entire staff's knowledge of every detail, the descriptions of every piece of every course brought to the table. If you want to go hme after just one dinner feeling like a Queen and a King that have had every need met before you even aske, you must treat yourself to an evening at Kai. It is easliy at the top of my Arizona list of dining experiences and would easily stand up to anything Scottsdale has to offer.

The only 5 star restaurant in Arizona is outstanding in every aspect. Tastefully serving the food and meeting the expectations of its guests, Kai excels in every way. Entire staff wants your meal to be memorable, and it will be! My 4th visit to this rare treat did not disappoint.
The quiet presence of Frank and his well trained and personable colleague Shay and their staff will ensure your evening with them will not be forgotten and will remind one of what tasteful dining and manners are (were?). Every dollar spent will be worth it in the long run. I plan to return many more evenings.

I selected Kai when having a special dinner with my son who lives in Phoenix. Binkley's is closed for the entire month of July, but Kai serves very nicely in its stead. While a few dishes were not outstanding (the melon soup and the roast buffalo were only good), other dishes represented the highest level of modernist cuisine (and the cocktails are great). For the main course, the squab is distinguished, and it is impressive that the chef brings in Southwestern, Mexican, and Indian flavors. Kai's is first rate.

I am new to the area and wanted to try some local restaurants. I had read about Kai online and wanted to try it out. Wow! The food was incredible and the service was impeccable. Every course was layered with infused spices and flavors. We started with the grapefruit martini in the bar and finished with chocolate and red wine. What more could you ask for? How about bottled water in our car with truffles for the ride home! I will definitely be back – especially if it means I can get the recipe for the wonderful martini. Enjoy!

Everything here is perfect. Synchronized waiters placing plates down and removing them in a fashion that is on par with a ballet. The food is outstanding, perfect flavor to dishes you would not find anywhere else. The servers assistants are just as outstanding as the servers themselves, and the sommelier at Kai is outstanding. Overall, Kai is perfect for the special occasion dinner.

Five Star plus food and service! An increddible journey of culture, tastes, textures and art. It's an experience that we will enjoy again and again. The two gentleman that mainly took care of us were Quentin and Joshua who did a superb job leading us through our journey. We have never tasted food that was so extremly enjoyable. Great ambiance, romantic, quiet, great background music, and a fantastic sunset!

The service was seamless and attentive, but not invasive. The service was extremely professional, but not aloof or intimidating. Just perfect. Everyone, from the hostess, to the bartender, to the waitstaff was friendly, helpful, professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Now for the food....it was superb! Every morsel of every dish was spot one. I had the seafood medley (lobster, shrimp and scallops) and everything was prepared perfectly and the flavors were outstanding. The breads were fantastic, particularly the native bread. My only surprise was that the menu was fairly limited in the number of items to choose from, but all sounded wonderful. The lamb one of our diners had was the best we ever tasted.

The attention to detail from the wait staff and the quality of food/wine was outstanding. The staff was knowledgable about not only the food but the history of the Native Americans which is important because of the location on the reservation. As noted this was a special occassion, an anniversary and in the morning we found a card under our door from the staff wishing us a Happy Anniversary.

The food is spectacular and the wine steward helpful, but the service is mediocre. It's a shame because we want to love this place and return but probably will not. Water types mixed up, wine served after entree begun, wrong tea given after meal, and so on. These are service basics, and need to be addressed. Binkley's has the same caliber of food, and service is spot on.

This is truly 5-star dining. The food was outstanding and innovative, using Native American touches. There was a delay before our main course, and by then they forgot my husband's wine. Other than that, the meal was leisurely with a perfect view of the sunset. They have ala carte and taster's menus and accomodate special dietary requests. We were celebrating our anniversary, and they surprised us with a chocolate mousse for that.

Not only was the meal almost inexplicably divine the service was the best I have ever experienced. I travel quite a bit and try to dine at the best restaurants in a given area. That said, Kai delivered an incredible meal with outstanding service for both me and my guest.

The server, Feliciano Vazquez, was the most professional, respectful, attentive and authentic server I have met. His explanation of the restaurants concept, the chefs philosophy and each course as it arrived only added to splendid occasion. The entire staff were simply wonderful.

Five diamonds are the best way to describe the meal and experience we received at Kai. Kudos to Chef O'Dowd and his staff. Thank you for an amazing and unforgettable evening.

Kai is our absolute favorite restaurant for special occasions and for sharing memories with close friends and family. We are NEVER disappointed with the service or food from the time we drive up to the front of the resort to the time when we get in our car to depart for home. My 2nd visit in the past 6 mos. I love going here and part of why I book the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass when I'm visiting Phoenix/Scottsdale. Great chow and service... like the laid back feel with the Native American tranquility and artwork. Had the new beef dish... like a lot better than the buffalo signature dish. Keep up the great work chef!

Kai goes above and beyond to provide an incredible dining experience. Every detail is attended to by the staff; from the personal verification of your reservation, to answering any menu questions, to having your car waiting at the end of the evening. Kai is every persons chance to see feel what it must be like to be a rockstar or royalty.

The menu takes advantage of both the local culture and products to generate a selection of fabulous choices that will please a wide variety of individuals. This holds true from the appetizers to the desert options, each and every option on the menu is thought out and presented to perfection.

If you go you cannot go wrong with any menu options, but I highly suggest trying the fry bread. Amazing.
