We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was an amazing experience!! We got the Short story tasting and each plate was delicious! The overall experience was something we will never forget and Kai even delivered us a thank you card with a special gift to our room at the resort. Thank you, Kai for such a wonderful night!
Great service, a unique menu, and perfectly prepared meals. We truly enjoyed everything from the appetizers to dessert.
An amazing journey at Kai! An enlightening sensory experience with first class customer service!! Well done
Kai is definitely the best restaurant in the Phoenix area, probably the whole of Arizona. All of the dishes were good but there were two that were just exceptional, the venison and the escargot. If I had a couple negatives it would be that the downstairs noise came up through the restaurant half way through the meal and sort of killed the ambiance. The other would be the dessert, the baklava is just a pile of nuts with a scoop of ice cream. A very lacklustre dessert that unfortunately, after an otherwise outstanding meal, left a bad taste in my mouth.
Wonderful experience. Marvelous flavors. Great presentations.
Fantastic presentation, food, service & all around one of the best restaurants in Arizona!!
Our experience at Kai was amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant.
THis restaurant is always the best. On top of our list of restaurants. We go every year when we are out there. The food is elegantly prepared, always with twists of herbs, flowers, different spices, and it makes for an adventure in eating. The service is impeccable. The wine list is wonderful
If Phoenix restaurants were considered for Michelin stars, Kai would be in contention for two stars. With beautifully prepared dishes constructed from many unusual locally sourced ingredients, Kai offers a very unique dining experience. The service was truly exceptional with a knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining staff that is unmatched outside of select globally renowned establishments. Kai has my highest recommendation.
Best meal and experience I have ever had in my life. The Native American ambience coupled with the local food was superb. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. Delightful experience that created a memory that will last a lifetime!!!!
Our reservation was at 5:45, so we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunset from our table. Darren and his team were very attentive, and the food did not disappoint. You must try the escargot! I would recommend Kai over and over again.
My wife and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. We have a wonderful time and will be back for our 3rd anniversary.
Unique and delicious menu items and superb service. We couldn’t have asked for a more attentive and knowledgeable serving staff.
Kai is without a doubt, the most outstanding dining experience.
This was the best dining experience my husband and I ever had. The service was impeccable with a team of people taking care of our every need. We chose the 7 course tasting menu and it was amazing. I was speechless by the time dessert arrived! Jeremy was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly making our evening at Kai one we will never forget.
Kai is a total experience. The Native American decor and the flute music provide a perfect setting. The service is excellent but never stuffy. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The food is fantastic.
Fabulous all around!
Amazing experience! Cannot our to words how nice of an evening they create through story, ambiance, and food. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.
My husband and I made a reservation for our first evening stay at the resort after reading outstanding reviews of Kai online. Kai was exactly as the reviews had described - the food and dishes were unique and spectacular. The fresh ingredients and spices were very flavorful, and the honey was out of this world. Jackson, our host, led us through a very knowledgeable history and story as we dined through several courses. He made the experience even more special, and we are so grateful to him for his attention and explanations. We were very impressed and would recommend Kai as a must-try while in Phoenix.
This is our fourth visit to Kai. Always an amazing and very personal experience. Just love it! Highly recommended for a special occasion .
The service was amazing. I asked for a drink they do not normally serve and they did whatever they could to recreate it. The food was unlike anything I have ever had.
The staff could not have been nicer. The food and service were outstanding. We love this place!
Fantastic dining experience by far one of my favorite places I have visited.
This was the most incredible dining experience. Beautiful food. Service extraordinaire. Artistic. Meaningful. Respectful of the food and its origin.
Dining at Kai was a truly memorable experience; not strictly for the food, but also for the service and attention to detail. From the moment we entered and were greeted by name, to the hand-selected and one-of-a-kind Native art on the menus, to the history we learned about the area and ancient People of the land, we felt as if we were the ONLY diners in the restaurant. There were never fewer than 3 persons attending to every step of the service, from laying napkins in laps to clearing and resetting utensils to presenting courses, we felt truly pampered. We will most certainly return for another new journey...
Kai is a dining and cuisine experience. This is my second time here and it always exceeds my expectations.
My husband and I went there for my birthday. We had such a good time. The service was great! Such an amazing experience. We will definitely go back.
We have traveled extensively and Kai is one of the best restaurants we have ever dined at
An unbelievable culinary experience through amazing food. The service was impeccable and the attention to detail was second to none
Best of the West from start to finish. The ever evolving menu is exceptionally creative yet retains broad appeal. The service team and wine list is the perfect complement to the food.
Indigenous ingredients and local ingredients made for a lovely and delicious dinner. Excellent service!
This is a "must-go-to" place if you want a special fine-dining treat; it's awesome. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. We've been going there for years and it just keeps getting better. I was able to cut my bison tenderloin with a fork. My wife raved about the Kachk (seafood) and the duck our guest ordered was the best I've ever tasted. Four servers were only a few feet away to assure that we didn't want for anything, and they brought several different 3 or 4-bite fun appetite "teasers" before the meal came, all apparently made with yummy Native American ingredients; a nice, unexpected touch. The wine choices are incredible and range from about $40 to $10,000 a bottle (something for everyone). Wine is also available by the glass. The staff was so courteous and friendly that you'd think they had known us all our lives. Our car had been brought curbside when we left and the card and gift left on the dashboard was another nice surprise touch. Kai is a little bit pricey, although not as pricey as some fine dining restaurants in the city, but well worth it for it's exceptional quality, uniqueness, and service. I sound like an employee, but I'm not; just a very happy customer (again).
Unique dining experience! Amazing!
Perfect in every way- from the welcome to the final cheese course and then desert - service from Kevin and his team was perfect - Som Kevin (easy to remember- both named Kevin) was awesome as well- pairing my tastes for red wine and my wife’s for whites was really a nice surprise. Don’t know why this place is not Michelin rated. Good thing for us otherwise getting a table would be even harder. Chef Swanson and his Sous Chef Hupp are consistently innovative and top class.
Food was incredible, and the service was exemplary! The whole night was wonderful!
We had come for the first time last year for our 8th anniversary and everything was so delicious that we booked again for our 9th.
The menu is a little different and everything has a mesquite taste to it. We got the squash/pumpkin soup which we were VERY excited about because of how much we loved it last year. This time is tasted like a bowl of bbq sauce, neither of us could eat it, it was actually burning my lips. I had the lobster appetizer which was really good as well as the foi gras that my husband had for the 2nd course which he stated the fat wasn't quit rendered down enough so he kept getting globs of it but the broth was delicious. When it came to the entree, I got the Wagyu beef (which was cooked to my liking, med rare) but it came on top of bbq baked beans served in a bowl (this does not scream fine dining to me) it had so much bbq flavor that the beef had picked up a lot of that flavor and just ruined the taste of the beef for me. My husband had the venison and he said it was def nothing to write about, he couldn't even remember the side it came with. All in all we were very disappointed with the food. It cost way too much to taste like we are eating at a BBQ Pit!
We will say that just like last year the service is AMAZING! The restaurant is very nice and clean with a great view of the AZ sunset. We will probably go back but I would have to call and ask about the menu first.
It was an absolute pleasure dining at the Kai restaurant. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic experience! Our lead waiter Jackson did an exquisite job curating the experience throughout the evening. The staff was accommodating from the moment we arrived and the food was incredible! I highly recommend dining here throughout your stay.
Exceptional Service and Dining Experience. I would highly recommend for a special occasion for business or personal dining.
Feliciano and Darin took great care of us. The food was spectacular. The menu is one-of-a-kind and fun to try varied dishes.
Absolutely Phenomenal. Feleciano, Kevin, and all the staff are outstanding!
