Kachinas pork tacos are awesome and our waiter couldn't have been nicer. I love coming here!!
We dined there for Mother’s Day brunch and they were extremely unorganized. We had to ask a couple of times for salt and pepper, sugar and coffee refills. They advertised a compliment glass of prosecco, but the wait staff acted surprised when we asked for it. I had eggs Benedict and the dish was passable. Eggs were cooked perfectly but the hollandaise sauce was bland.
Good food and service. Pricing was reasonable. Maybe I will not recommend to friends as I want to make it too popular.!
We went here for mother's day brunch. They had a free glass of champagne for each mom. That was nice. Our server was nice. Our food took a very long time. Then the manager stopped by our table to let us know that they needed us to leave for other reservations. I've never been pushed out of a restaurant before. I did not take this well, especially because the cause of our stay was due to their (lack of) timeliness of getting our food out. This could potentially be a cool place but for this particular Manager (I wish I would've gotten his name, I was just so taken aback). I will never go to this restaurant again and if asked I will intentionally and purposefully recommend to my friends and family to pass on this spot (if you value your time, respect and service).
The Navajo tacos and prickly pixie margarita are amazing. Everyone loved their food - chicken enchiladas, grill trio, and sea bass. We will definitely be back.
Great food and great service! There’s something on the menu to satisfy everyone’s cravings!
Food good wait service not so good burnt hamburger bad
We have never had a bad meal here. Everything is always fresh and delicious. My favorite are the Navajo tacos with a Porch Song margarita.
I would have given this restaurant 5 stars with one exception: there was a very strong perfume smell in the restaurant. Actually, I believe it was coming from the Westin Hotel. It might have been the carpet, or an air "freshener." I would be willing to try the restaurant again in hopes that the smell was a rare thing. Perhaps they had just gotten the carpets cleaned.
The food was delicious and worth a little higher price. We liked our server even though she mixed up our orders a little bit. Overall was very good and we will definitely go back!
Our Mothers Day Brunch was great! Service was okay...our waitress was very busy and did not really check on us until she had to, however, she did bring over free beignets for Mother’s Day and she was very nice. Overall we had a good experience.
Family Mother’s Day celebration
Our reservation, made a month in advance, was for 7:30 pm. We were seated a few minutes before 8pm. We had nothing but water until 830pm. Food was served
after 9pm. This is not a server problem. This is a management problemwith: it was the 3rd time we were offered free dessert because of this problem. 3 strikes snd you are out. Unfortunately we will not return.
They had no record of our verified opentable reservation . After being seated 10 minutes I finally went and found someone to wait on us. The food was just okay . I couldn't really see my bowl. The lighting was very dark. There was a convention going on at the hotel and the bar was crowded and Extremely Loud. All the servers were focused on those people. We probably won't go back. Supposed to be a special evening.
Overall it was a good experience. Service was a little slow, and the prices were a little high. We had a good time. Food was good.
Outstanding steaks and sides!!!
Menu change was a bit disapointing. Miss the old taco salad!
Squash lovers will want to order the Three Sisters - it was great!
Free chocolate chili beignets with a side of caramel dipping sauce for birthday dessert - yum
Food was just okay. Everything was way too spicy for me. Our server, Freddie, was inattentive and slow. Had to flag someone else down to get his attention for our leftovers and check.
Wonderful service! Trio guacamole was my favorite!
Delicious - one of my favorite places for brunch. The food has always been great, the staff friendly and helpful.
Very good food and wonderful relaxed atmosphere.
I like the view of the water outside. Its very pretty outside.
Kachina has changed and limited their menu. We had been there several times in the past but the new menu, slow service, and sub-par entrees has made us decide to not return.
Food is good, creative & tasty. Bar is a hot spot on weekends.
Its always a pleasure to eat here. Brought an out-of-town guest for a special treat and local restaurant. We both had a great meal and wonderful service.
I love Kachina but the chef needs to come up with a variety of meals which are not hot hot hot !!! A mild Caesar Salad, and one or two mild not spicy meals for dinner.
We arrived on time for our reservation but it appeared the restaurant was understaffed for a Sunday. It took some time for our server to arrive with menus and take drink orders...After ordering our meal took almost an hour to be served because the kitchen was backlogged. The server was very kind and provided us with a guacomole app and the beignets afterwards - gratis due to the extended wait.
Although hungry, we weren't in a hurry and our server did his best to make the wait as pleasant as possible! I like the food options and atmosphere at Kachina and we have dined there often. Despite this one experience - the server made it right in our eyes and we will definitely be back.
Excellent Easter brunch! Our server was so easy going and attentive. Food was contemporary Southwestern, and so good!
Since it was Easter, it was crowded and pretty noisy and we had a table right where everyone walked in and out, so it was very "busy" all the time. That having been said, our waiter was amazing -- very helpful and attentive and made sure we got orders placed when we were ready and food delivered hot and smoothly. And, the food was very good and plentiful. We'd like to go back and try it on an evening and away from the spot where we were located this time around, just to see if we would give it five stars across the board. While I rated food at 4 stars; I'd probably say 4 1/2. But the service makes up for everything -- definitely 5 stars plus. And the prices were right in line with what you would expect. Overall, a good dining experience and worth a return.
I’ve eaten here several times but on this occasion the service was super slow and the food was extremely salty. Not up to par but everyone is entitled to an off day.
We still love Kachina but they have lost a few steps with the loss of Chef Jeff.
Food is always good, but service was nonexistent today. Almost felt like our server was ignoring us. Had to flag her down for refills on coffee and wafer, just felt we weren't worth her time. We are longtime Kachina customers, so this was really out of character for the restaurant.
We love coming here, but it was the worst experience we've ever had! Our party of 8 waited 1 hour for food to arrive! When we started asking at 40min wait we were told twice that its getting plated or its coming which wasn't true. When it came out it was good although the kids hamburger had been sitting under the hot lights for awhile and was chewy and overdone. The manager took care of some of the bill which was nice, but it was too high to begin with. The waitress told us about happy hour and that we could order from that menu, but none of the happy hour discounts were applied. The most frustrating part was that not once during that hour did she come back to ask if we wanted more drinks or get us water refills. She forgot about us or was intentionally ignoring us. I believe she just forgot our order all together! Don't make excuses, just admit you messed up!
Love Kachina! Always a great dinner and fun atmosphere; it was especially lively this visit as the hotel was hosting a dance convention. It was pretty loud so was hard for a big group like us to hear one another. But if you like a bustling atmosphere, this is the place.
Another great thing about this restaurant is you can find an entree in all price ranges; from $17-$30 a meal. Plus, our kids meals were free with an entree! My only "complaint" would be no free chips and salsa.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to dine in a beautiful space. The ambience is modern southwestern and the food is delicious. The service was great too - friendly and professional. The overall experience reminded me of some of my favorite New Mexican restaurant moments that I've had in the past. I will be back soon!
Excellent food and service! Really enjoyed both the restaurant and bar.
Service was slow, salad was overdressed, taco was too saucy
Service was very good but the food was too salty . The best thing was our appetizer of scallops ceviche. I had mixed grill and my husband had boneless quail, both over salted. My black beans were dried out. Not impressed.
Food was very good.
The restaurant mixes large group gatherings with two person dining and the noise level and foot traffic is obnoxious.
