I thought my server was ok. She was nice, but she did not smile once and was very monotone. The food was ok. The rice was kind of bland. The chef was really nice, energetic, entertaining, helpful, and really made sure we enjoyed the show. It was really loud, but that is expected with cooking tables so it did not really bother me.
I used to love Kabuto but when I went for my sons birthday recently it was terrible. They've raised the prices by $8-10 an entree, my chicken was so chewy that I couldn't eat most of it. The waiter was a bit clumsy (that is forgivable since I'm a waitress but he didn't acknowledge it and did not clean up spills he made). Our chef seemed inexperienced and was messy. I'll stick to Arigato from now on.
We ate the Ribeye and shrimp. The shrimp was great, the Ribeye was a little tough and a few bites had gristle. The remainder of the food was great. The chef was very effecient and funny. He wasn't as entertaining as some we've seen before but he did a great job on the food. The seating was a little crowded it could use more space.
Felt as if we were rushed, didn’t get to eat anything before being given boxes to pack it up.. unaware the tip was included after 9pm, tipped server twice as much than deserved..
Good food things just need updating and fixing but it’s always a good time
Great food great chefs must have in Greensboro North Carolina
Everything was great but when the waiter set fire to the happy face— I received a burned face! I had to put aloe Vera on it the next day. It looked like a severe sunburn. That’s never happened before. It may have been due to the face cream I put on prior to going. I think it acted like an accelerant. It was not the waiters fault and I wasn’t any closer to the fire than anyone else. Just a freak occurrence. From now on I guess I need to wear sunscreen! Lol
The service was great, but the only problem I had with the service is that I requested a dessert for my son in the online reservation which was his birthday!
The service was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. If you like Hibachi then you don't mind communal eating. If you don't like communal eating wait for a big event with family and friends. It was a setting for 12. The presentation was excellent. The quality of the meat is not prime or fresh water but is tasteful when done. Those aren't really complaints just preferences. If I had one complaint it was that our cook deep cleaned the grill while we were eating. However, when he was done it looked better than when he started. In the end it was better than the other overated Hibachi restaurant everyone in Greensboro raves about and much cleaner.
The table wasn’t ready, so we sat in the bar and waited for 30 minutes before we gave up and just ordered in the bar. The wait staff was overwhelmed. We can’t blame them because they were just short staffed. The food was good, nothing to write home about, but tasty.
Great food. Great atmosphere. It was our anniversary and they surprised us with a song and ice cream at the end.
Great first experience at a true hibachi restaurant. Our chef and server were both fun and attentive. Cannot wait to go back!
No hibachi “show”. Literally just put the food on the grille and cooked. We saw the server once and never saw her again.
The portions were more than generous and the quality of the food was excellent. I had the filet and shrimp. It was prepared as I requested. Great value.
Service staff was great
food was great ! waiter forgot to get the staff to sign happy birthday but we still had a great time
Food was excellent. Server was vulgar qith part of his antics. May be "cute" for adults, but I had my grandchildren with me.
Great food, clean bathrooms, and nice establishment.
This place is not the best by any means. The food is way too over priced for the quality, and even though I can assume that they include the cooking "show" in the price, it still adds up to be more than I'm willing to pay for only decent food. Not to mention the service was subpar, and left a lot to be desired
Good food, love that they had more than just shrimp sauce, the ginger sauce and dressing was very good. Service was good and cook was entertaining.
Terrible services because waiters didnot give full menu and had no idea of the drinks names from the bar.
Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Food is good, with a nice table side "show"
The soup and salad was not very good. The soup was extremely salty and the salad dressing was watery. The main course was fair. The staff was ok but seemed very rushed.
There was a disabled fly that landed in my daughter's plate of food. She had not yet began to eat (chef just finished preparing the meal). The chef called the manager over (fly still moving in the food). Manager took the fork and smushed the fly in the plate of food, turning everyone's stomach! Seeing that ruined the entire experience. My daughter was offered food from the back, but at that point she was turned off and declined it. Not to mention, we were there celebrating her graduation. Very disturbing and disappointing experience for everyone. Don't think we will return.
We had a great time. Good food and good service! We always enjoy eating here.
Great service and food!
This place is my favorite Japanese Steakhouse (hibachi style) restaurant. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Great for the family or date night. I wish they had a greater sushi selection.
The food was amazing and there was such large portions. It was a tad pricey for hibachi but absolutely worth it. The food was amazing and it’s more upscale than your usual hibachi
The cook was great, our waiter was not good. He messed up our order and only returned to bring us the check. Thank goodness the waiter at the other table noticed we needed a refill.
Friendly servers and entertaining chef! We went for our daughter’s 5th birthday and they made it fun and special for our whole group!
Dinner out with our boys, they love Japanese food! First time visit & we’ll definitely be back again!!
Great Food... was seated on time according to our reservation.... wait staff was spot on... chef was excellent and very entertaining ❤️
Food was great, service was okay. We felt like the server was rushing us. We had to stop eating to take care of the payment.
Cue for one seat was complicated for an unknown reason
Delayed menus + drink
Chef of the table next to us was enjoying putting on a show
Our guy went through the motions like a milk wagon horse knew his route....same low level enthusiasm as the horse
Food for the money was good.... scallops the highlight of the night
Took the family on May 21st for son’s birthday. Sushi was fresh- service was great, cook was fun and entertaining and food was awesome. Nothing to complain about
It was great. The food was great, cook was great and wait staff was great!
Great service. Great food. Interaction with others diners.
We had reservations for 7:30. We did not sit down until 8:30. When the chef arrived, he realized the griddle had not been turned on. He turned it on and said he would be back in 5 minutes. Ten minutes later, he began to cook. He had a lot of conversation, buy at this point, we just wanted to eat. He seemed like a nice guy and under different circumstances, we probably would have been more engaged.
Server was mildly attentive.
Salad dressing was watery...should have asked for double soup.
Food was good, nice portions.
First time eating here...may be the last.
Condensation from air unit above our table dripped.
Dined at Kabuto for Mother’s Day.
The Good: Food was excellent and everyone enjoyed the chef and his culinary skills!!!
The Bad: Our waiter was awful. Brought soup without enough spoons. Brought drinks without enough straws. Spilled sauce from our pork dumplings appetizer all over the table, left and didn’t return to clean it up. Finally I had to swipe a rag from one of the carts to wipe up HIS mess. Waiter clearly didn’t want to be there that day. Service was so bad I got the feeling that it was intentional.
