Kabuto Japanese Steak House and Sushi
If you are celebrating a birthday, we provide a complimentary ice-cream sundae. Feel free to bring a birthday cake in Sunday - Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, we do permit cakes to be brought in; if the reservation is booked 8 p.m. or after.
If you have children, one child ages 10 or under can dine free Sunday - Thursday evenings - with two full paying adults on the same guest check with them; and two canned goods - which we donate to the Urban Ministry for them.
Kabuto is located on Stanley Road off of West Wendover Avenue and I-40. We are the best Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar in Greensboro! We are close to the Coliseum, minutes from downtown Greensboro and near the Grandover Resort.
Come join us and see why we were voted best in the Triad Area!
I told the hostess it was my son's birthday. You can imagine how deflating it was when the wait staff came over and celebrated another guests birthday but never celebrated my son's. When I said something to the waiter, she turned to my son (20)and said "Oh sorry...do you want us to sing to you?" His response was..."uh, no...that's okay" 😑 very disappointing. The service was rushed and impersonal.
Food good but the a/c vent were very dirty with dust and grime, bathroom floors sticky from not being mopped-next time we will go to Fire and Sticks which places a premium on cleanliness. Cook placed raw chicken on grill with cooked shrimp, rice and salmon-luckly no one got sick.
Our server was excellent. We were there for a business lunch and had a limited amount of time. He moved things right along without making us feel too rushed. It was the best experience and the best customer service I have had in a very long time.
First time we have eaten there and we felt we were RUSHED out - we were given take out boxes as soon as the chef left. No time to eat, then we were given the bill - like hurry up and leave and there were open tables around us ?? Please don't rush your guest.
We wanted to dine for just sushi and drinks but the bars area was so full and it took us 10 minutes just to get a drink. Once seated at a hibachi table, we mentioned that we just wanted sushi but they told us we could order it at the hibachi table since the bar situation was a mess. Then we were told by the waiter we were not supposed to eat there if we were just having sushi. He continued to push us to order more than we wanted. This place was not what we expected and overall it was very noisy. At least the food was good but I wouldn’t go back.
Chef was evidently new. Out of order on cooking the rice veggies and shrimp. Not as crowd pleasing. Missed the cooktop on a steak and just picked it up from the table pack to grill. I still love the restaurant but this was not my best visit by far
Had a great time. Food was great. The only issue is we were seated and we sat there 10-15 min before a server came to the table to get our drink order. After that the service was fantastic!
This was our first time eating here. Very nice restaurant! Enjoyable!!
Coming in there was no parking spaces which delayed our arrival. When we finally went in to check in the ladies up in the front were not friendly. Even though we had a reservation we still had to wait at least 30 minutes. It took a while for the chef to come out and start cooking. For the price the food was not good at all and some of the chicken tasted and felt as if it was not cooked all the way. It was a disappointment from the start. We will definitely keep going to Arigatos. It is cheaper and the food and service is amazing not mentioning that they do tricks throughout the whole cooking show.
My family & I had a great time ☺️
Very good food and good service
I always love this place. The food is amazing and the chefs are very entertaining.
Really enjoyed the food. We ordered sushi also which tasted so good. A+
Took my girlfriend randomly
My experience was lovely the chef was very entertaining and funny. And our waitress was very attentive.
It was real nice food was really good
Great service as always. My friends and I truly had a great experience and I love how even though they were short handed, the smiles never left. 10/10 would do it all again
Kabuto Japanese Steak House is a great place to have a celebration between 10 people or 2 people..the food is great, the ambiance is great.. it’s overall an awesome atmosphere to dine in.
Wonderful as always!!
We were there for my sons 11th birthday, it was an ok experience, its his favorite place to go. the food was cooked a little to high you could taste a little burnt taste to it.
The kids had fun but for a 9 person check of almost 300.00 we were a little upset.
Great food for the price. Sea lovers must try scallops and lobster🙌🏼
Service was very slow. Took 30 minutes to be seated. Drink service was just ok, soup was luke warm, had to wait awhile for what they call salad, lettuce with a lot of dressing, chef was slow to arrive at the table. Food just ok, not worth the money. Not a good way to show my mom a happy birthday.
The food was excellent! We got there before the crowd, but many people were coming in as we left! Server and cook were very nice and knew their jobs! Thank you!
Excellent chef, very funny
Food really good and portions were good
Best Japanese in Greensboro hands down.
Food was good. Service was poor felt rushed. Cooker was not the best he put food on the grill and left while food was unattended. Pretty pricey
The service was average and rushed. It was toooooo hot in there. There were numerous people fanning while trying to eat. The cook was good.
It was my grandson first time and his birthday...he loved it...
Fantastic chef! Food was cooked to perfection! Will be back!
Great place to eat, service was fast and pleasant. Food was prepared very well.
When we arrived Kabuto Japanese Steak House did not show our reservation that was mad through Open Table. I showed them our confirmation and they took us after a 20 minute wait but it was worth it. The food was awesome and so was the service!!
We have been to many Hibachi restaurants and this was one of the best. It was our first time having Hibachi bananas, which were yummy. The chef was great and the food was yummy.
Service had gotten poor every time we go. They take so long to take drink order/ bring drinks. Then hand you a togo box and check before you can even order another drink or finish eating. You feel rushed for a $100+ dinner with family.
Our fried rice smell and taste like raw fish and was very mushy. Not at all like it should be. Salad dressing were only to choices neither which we liked. Price was a lot more than others which I wouldn't mind if food was great. This was our first experience there and our last. Sorry.
it was great an visit , like always, i can't say anything bad. Just keep up the great work
It was my birthday july 14 and i made reservations like a week before not knowing the place close at 930 so we was literally rushed the whole time so i will not be coming back or recommending this place to nobody.
It was a very nice experience, excellent price and good food. Definitely come back
They were able to accommodate a large group of 25 and the food was excellent!!!
I thought my server was ok. She was nice, but she did not smile once and was very monotone. The food was ok. The rice was kind of bland. The chef was really nice, energetic, entertaining, helpful, and really made sure we enjoyed the show. It was really loud, but that is expected with cooking tables so it did not really bother me.
