About this restaurant

Kabul Afghan Cuisine is located in SeattleÕs Wallingford neighborhood and gives visitors a unique dining experience focused on authentic recipes straight from Afghanistan. Menu options include appetizers, vegetarian and meat entrees, kebabs and desserts. All the items carry traditional Afghan names, but are also explained on the menu so there are no surprises. Appetizer options include bolani (a potato turnover) and mushroom qorma (sautŽed mushrooms). Vegetarian entrŽes focus on rice dishes cooked with unique spices filled with pasta, scallions, carrots and potatoes. If protein is more to taste, there are also several menu choices at Kabul Afghan Cuisine including ground beef, lamb and tilapia. The real treat of the menu, though, are the kebabs that can be ordered for two and include chicken, lamb and chunks of beef simmered in traditional Afghan herbs. If Afghan cooking is a new treat, Kabul Afghan Cuisine is sure to please.

Hands down, one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle! We actually make the trek all the way from Maple Valley out to Kabul in Wallingford probably once a month, it's that good! Fantastic service -- everyone is always so attentive and friendly. And the food is amazing! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but a few of our favorites include: the bolani appetizer (potato turnovers with a yogurt/garlic dipping sauce), ashak dinner (my husband's absolute favorite), and the seekh kebob plate with the side of Badenjan Borani (eggplant) is my favorite. A definite must try in Seattle, I promise!

I have been to this place a few times and never been disappointed. All of their rice dishes were great. The ambience is also really good.
