Eaten here twice - both times food has been mediocre. Service from the wait staff is solid and attentive. However, management doesn't understand the concept of customer service and have witnessed them being rude to other customers, as well as, to our party. Not planning on retruning and would not reccomend to family or freinds.
I always enjoy the food. It's always fantastic. There are a couple of servers that are always very attentive and remember customer's beverage and food preferences. So it's nice when we end up on one of their tables. And the food speaks for itself. I love it.
First visit was a good one. Service was a little inconsistent (as forewarned by earlier reviews), but the food was good across the board (also as mentioned in earlier reviews). Will be back, hopefully at a less busy time.
Our rolls were so cold and not good . I go at least 2 times a month . So disappointed.
This was a great meal and experience with my brother who is leaving the country for Africa.

Disappointed based on the reviews. We were driving from Santa Barbara to LA and thought Sushi was a no brainer for a quick stop. Sushi was mediocre at best, would not recommend.
Our server was great but because it looked like they were under staffed that night it was slow.

Best sushi in town! We enjoyed an extensive variety of rolls and had the pleasure of Chris as our server! He was super sweet, attentive, and accommodating!

We made a reservation for 6 at 7 pm on a Sunday night but they did not seat us until 7:40. They seemed very disorganized. One of our dinners came out and it was a full 10 minutes before the rest of the plates came out.
On the good side, the staff was friendly and the food was excellent!

THE FISH AND BEER WAS GREAT. BRUSSEL SPROUTS WERE WIERD. GARLIC EDAMAME WAS OILY. I STILL GIVE IT A 5, YOU GO FOR THE FISH.

my husband and I enjoyed our meal a great deal. My husband had a smorgasbord of sushi and I simply wanted chicken teriyaki. We always enjoy our food. If I had one complaint: my appetizer came out at the same time as my meal...didn't quite like that however it will not hinder us upon a return.
Chose Kabuki because they have sukiyaki and this is hard to find. It was delicious. Varied menu with something for everyone. Server was friendly, but a little lacking on knowledge of the menu. He couldn't answer the couple of questions we asked of him. On the reservation I made note that it was a birthday, but it was never acknowledged.

Our waitress Melissa was awesome. My daughters love their Tonkotsu Ramen. Even though this is not a ramen restaurant they do cook their ramen just as good as a ramen shop. I have been telling everyone that Kabuki has great ramen and soba. All the food including their teriyaki and sushi had always been delicious!
Absolutely outstanding! Loved everything! The sushi was fresh, the service was excellent. Our grill items were well prepared. Loved the menu division and appreciated it. Loved the edamame! Salads were excellent!
Sushi wasn't as fresh as it usually is. Eaten there many times and there is something always off about the quality of food. Tonight I ordered miso cod and almost choked on three very lengthy bones. I told the food runner and he went back to the kitchen and then apologized that the bones should have been removed. The second one they brought out was soooo overlooked which is very difficult to do with black cod "butterfish" which is a very forgiving fish to prepare and cook. My 5 year old could knock it out of the park. Such a disappointment we have given this place several attempts which I think they are beginning to run out of excuses for such poor quality and no attention to detail. Staff doesn't seem to care.
Food was okay. The miso soup lacked the miso. Waiters were really hard to get attention from. Brought wrong drink a couple of times. Service could be better but everyone was friendly. It is obvious that the staff was not well trained.
It was a Wednesday night so maybe the staff was just not together .. The booth I sat in had a big hole in it and the bathroom was dirty full trash cans and the floors throughout the restaurant were dirty (paper and food) and it wasn't busy . Even the menus were greasy. In the booth table we sat in had food Particles still on it from the last diner. The food presentation however was outstanding, the sushi Was awesome . we ran out of wasabi and they never even replaced it. Waiter was a young gentleman he was not trained or just in a bad mood. I would not go there again
New Year's Eve dining was great (as was the lunch I had there a couple of months back). Immediately we were welcomed by the hostess, happily greeted by a Manager, and seated without delay. All good. Food was delicious...plenty of choice and excellent quality. The only damper was our waitress's service was lacking; she wasn't welcoming, or even seemed to care that we were there. We three guests only had service for two; she never did follow up with our request for another set-up. We sent two different people to track her down to ask for a second drink. That is an area that wait people are normally quite aware of. There were a couple of other things that we needed, but they escape me at the moment. Sadly, thIs the first time in well over a decade that I left less than a 20% tip. Hopefully she noticed. I'd like to give a "shout out" to Richard --a busboy. I don't think he was actually working in our section, but he responded quickly and kindly to our 3-4 requests for help/service. He was simply going about doing his job. Our waitress was not unkind or snarky. She was just absent and performed perfunctorily. The overall evening was lovely, nonetheless. Again, the food was amazing. We'll definitely return.

The layout is awful, not suitable for a wheel chair that's for sure - completely crowded - especially at the entrance with people exploding out of the front door. Upon arrival I notified the two people at the host table that we had an Open Table reservation to which they said I did not, that I was not on their list that they checked earlier - hello, do they know how Open Table works? I told them I booked them about 15 mins ago and they said "oh that's why, I didn't get anything, I don't know why Open Table does that they book things and don't tell us", it was completely awkward and rude. We then were taken to a table and seated. The waiter was nice (the only pro to this visit) but the sushi was average (if that), we didn't eat half of it.
