Best Sushi in Orlando. Must have Muguro Truffle as an appetizer.
Was wonderful, fresh sushi. Creative menu. Well presented, dishes. Knowledgeable server, everything was excellent.
The food is amazing for your tastebuds. Great environment.
The food is AMAZING and the Omakase experience is a Must!
Great food, great service. The location is deceiving. You walk through the door and wonder why you haven’t been there sooner.
Food was excellent server was excellent had a loud birthday party next to us! Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Even with a reservation, we still waited over a half hour for a table. Which made us, and others waiting, feel like the hostess wasn't managing properly. Thereafter, service recovery from Derek and food was perfect.
Great color and little touches throughout the restaurant, from the mural outside to three of my favorite cooking shows silently playing on the TVs inside. It's a tiny space and can be fairly loud, so if you want to hold a conversation without yelling I would recommend asking for a booth or to sit at the counter. The dishes were charming and tasty but poorly paced, arriving too close together and out of order, even though we asked for them to be coursed out. We received the hot rock beef course first, then the tuna starter, then miso soup, then lobster tempura, and finally the sushi roll, all within a 30-minute span. Completely wacky. This could be prevented by ordering as you go, but you really shouldn't have to do that. Still, I'd give it another shot.
Everything was incredibly fresh, which is very important when eating seafood. However the prices reflect that and it was much more expensive than say... Seito in Baldwin or Umi on Park Ave. maybe the same as Umi, but for two people it was $260 with tip. The food was presented nicely and tasted amazing. Also the space is small and crowded and it was so loud that I had to move from across the table to sit beside my friend so that we could hear each other. I would go back, but not on a weekend in hopes that maybe it wouldn’t be so crowded and loud.
Derrick and Christina are some of the best servers I have ever had. The food is always impeccable.
Delicious!!! as always; creative, fresh and consistent. Best sushi in Orlando!!
Fresh ingredients and outstanding flavors. We had the buttered scallops on special and oh my goodness were they good. We also tried the Hawaiian roll which was suprisingly light and refreshing. It’s a very small place so you have to be comfortable with the neighboring tables but the food makes up for it.
We eat at Kabooki regularly and it is always exceptional but this time it was an particularly outstanding experience. We were guided through delicacies we have never tasted before and a few old favorites. A truly wonderful culinary experience.
Very fresh sushi. Innovative menu with spectacular plating. We love this restaurant & is always our go to sushi spot.
Excellent food & service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We always love Kabooki Sushi. It’s the best in town. My favorite is always the Hawaii X.0 roll. It’s perfect! The hot pot rice dishes are also always spot on.
Lauren was great with helpful big me decide on wine, appetizer, and sushi.
The hostess was very patient with me and helped me find my reservation
Food was good but they should have a lunch crowd so they can lower their prices. It was very cold in the restaurant. Maybe that’s for the food.
We love Kabooki Sushi...but DAMN.....how cold does it have to be before you push customers out the door... tonight we found out. We got there tonight and immediate were cold. Asked the waiter about it...said "they turn down the tempreture to prep the fish / keep it cold...but they turned it up 15 minutes ago"....but it did not get any warmer. My guests had to go to the car and get a jacket and blanket. And I guess I should have clued in when the waiter had a long sleeve shirt under his normal work shirt. The food was great as always...but damn guys....how cold do you have to make it? In the end...we left early after our rolls were out....got desert somewhere else as we simply couldn't stand the temp any longer.
Kabooki is great! They have a very tasty menu but it is a small location and seating is limited. Normally they are busy so do yourself a favor and make a reservation.
Able to get sit quickly because we made reservations for an early dinner but there was a long line of diners waiting by the time we were done . Brussel Sprouts were amazing; some items on Specials were a little pricey.
Neighborhood gem. Don't let the location fool you.. ramen Sunday's is the best
Always wonderful food, always! We went on Sunday with our out of town guest mainly for the hugh bowl of pork belly ramen. Two in our party got the pork belly ramen and it was explained by the waiter that the portion size has been reduced. Fortunately, they shared a spicy roll and edamame. They enjoyed the perfectly prepared pork belly ramen, just not the new portion size.
I choose the scallops with cauliflower risotto. While the flavor and presentation was spot on, the portion was so small, two medium size scallop and a dollop of risotto, that I made eating a single grain of rice a bite of food in order to finish my meal with the rest of the party. This was the size of an appetizer with the price of an entree. I would have ordered a roll to augment my meal, but the food was not coming out of the kitchen very quickly and we were on our way to the airport.
Overall a delicious meal. Unfortunately it was not the show stopper experience we’ve enjoyed in the past.
Always a great meal at Kabooki. They were out of a few of our regular drinks (even the lemonade that I always get) but we still had a great meal. Busy Friday night; we used to be able to come here for dinner without a reservation but I’d really recommend going on Open Table ahead of time - I think they said they only use the two front tables for walk-ins.
We Always Love Kabooki. The Restaurant is an A++. We Love Kabooki. No restaurant in Orlando or Winter Park has better or fresher tuna! Amazing food and service. Our only criticism is the construction of the booth seating - you can feel every movement the person makes in the seat behind you. The common partition was poorly conceived.
Our server Kim was phenomenal. The food was amazing! This is our new favorite Japanese restaurant for sure! If the scallops with cauliflower risotto are on special, don’t miss it!
Not your average sushi. This chef is very creative and offered inspired sushi. Our server was great walking us through the menu, making recommendations and telling us what was top choices. Will definitely go back again and again.
Only thing is that we were eating so much and having too much fun that manager reminded us that it was Friday and a busy night for them. We were there for 2-1/2 hours but did order a lot. And when we left noticed there were still empty tables and no one waiting.
The meal was amazing, as always. Never disappointed.
We hadn't been to Kabooki in a while, but decided to try to squeeze in on a Sunday. Definitely plan ahead, and make a reservation! They were able to accommodate us at the Sushi Bar...which turned out to be an awesome experience. You can see everything they are making, and the chefs are friendly and accommodating. The specials blew our socks off - super creative and not what you find at typical sushi locations! (even the upscale one(s) you are thinking of).
The food at Kabooki is exceptional. Creative, interesting, and so delisiouse. Its my favorite place in Orlando to get sushi. But I will be getting pick or from now on unless we are going as a large group. My husband and I arrived for our resevation and the place was packed, loud, and overwhelming. We sat in a booth, which normally I love, but not at Kabooki. The booths share a back with the people behind you and I was being bounced and hit over and over. It was so frustrating and distracting. I truly love the food, so I am so sad that the atmosphere and seating is such an issue. Maybe on a week night it would be better... But I will be doing take out for now.
Food is always consistently great. The pork jowl hot pot is my favorite. The eel nigiri is a must. Just tried the lobster buffalo, which is amazing! Not a huge fan of the seating arrangements but it's a small venue but it's so worth the food.
Kabooki is my favorite sushi restaurant! The food is not only amazing, it is an experience. The seafood is phenomenally fresh, and the service has never disappointed me. Please support this local business!
Favorite sushi in Orlando!
A great place for both sushi and a variety of sakes. The tempura and "rolls" were really good, too. Definitely a place to return to.
Fantastic as always. One of our favorite for Sushi!!! Very imaginative, creative dishes.
Excellent as always! Dish was fresh and beautiful.
Fantastic sushi. Might be the best in town.
Outstanding Sushi in an odd, Hole-in-the-wall location.
