This is one of the best sushi restaurants in Orlando. The space is not great, they need more space because they are always full and noisy - also, take a sweater. Reservations recommended. I have been there at least thirty times and had only one bad experience. The food is fresh, innovative, beautifully presented and delicious. A bit quirky, not just a bunch of rolls, although they do have many rolls. They always have specials, and there is always something outstanding there as well.

Looking for a good sushi restaurant in Orlando, we stumbled across this GEM. Our server could not have been nicer and guided us through the entire menu with recommendations. We took her up on many of the recommendations and she was SPOT ON. The tuna appetizer was AMAZING and the rolls were delicious. Top it off with a C-4 dessert and it was the perfect meal for a date night birthday dinner!

My girlfriend and I love sushi, so the raves for Kabooki got us intrigued. A friend, however, warned us that she wasn't impressed. We should have listened. I really don't understand the effusion of praise for this place. The sushi we had was quite average. We had reservations so we only waited a short while to get seated. The crowd was impressively diverse, ranging from tank-topped dudebros to a family of four to tatted hipsters. That range usually bodes well, since good food attracts all. We started with yucca fritters. The tuna topping was good, but the yucca wasn't exactly what I'd call a fritter. It was bland and mushy. The dish really would have benefited from a bit of crunch. For sushi, we had the coconut lobster roll, and the Hokkaido roll. The Hokkaido roll was good. Fresh flavors, and the scallop on top was very nice. The coconut lobster roll was bland and boring, completely dominated by rice and tempura flavor. No presence of either lobster or coconut. We opted out of dessert since we really wanted to leave. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but regardless, I know of at least three much better places off the top of my head that aren't as loud and chaotic.

Kabooki Sushi has very good food. The service was good. The ambience is OK - set in an ugly strip plaza, but the inside is pretty nice. My biggest complaint that it is quite expensive and I feel that we received little food for what I paid. As soon as I got home, I made a sandwich.

I recommend the restaurant mostly on quality of the food, just be prepared to pay a pretty penny to fill up.

Went to Kabooki for best friends birthday, got the Omakase for both of us with alcohol pairing and it completely exceeded expectations. Everything was so flavorful and fresh that it has nearly ruined normal sushi for me. We also had 3 other friends who went with the regular menu and we ended up buying servings for them it was so good! Alcohol pairing was fabulous and made the whole night. Can’t wait for next visit, though the amount of alcohol was surprisingly appropriate, will probably get an Uber or something so we can truly enjoy it!

Took our daugther and her boyfriend her for a birthday dinner. We were a little worried when we saw the place from outside, but inside, it was tasteful and very comfortable. The menu was easy to understand and well developed. There was also a very nice daily plates menu that added some interest to the standard choices. We had 3 apps, 4 rolls and desert. The apps were tasty and inventive. The rolls were standard fare but well prepared. Desert was fine, especially the creme brulee, but they were out of the two most interesting sounding deserts which was a little let down. Service is professional, pacing was proper, and noise level lively but not overwhelming.

The sushi very good and fancy but honestly, there are other restaurants in the area that have slightly less quality for a much better price. I won’t be going back.

Everything about this restaurant gets 5 stars: food, service, atmosphere. I went with 4 people at 8pm on a Tuesday. It happened to be during Magical Dining week so we got a three course set menu for $35 and each tried bites of one another's dishes. Some stand outs were the pork hot pot and salmon sambal but everything was absolutely delicious.

We have eaten here before with a better experience. We had to rate it lower this time because they where out of many menus items, which where some of the main reasons we choose this place. Other wise great food and atmosphere and we will definitely be back!

My friends and I went to Kaboki sushi for Orlando Magical Dining. The menu was average-the chill roll they had on the menu was an average routine roll. The chirachi bowl was okay but nothing special. All of us eat Sushi all the time and heard such great things about the restaurant and we were very disappointed. We spent $70 for two dinners the should have cost $35-40 at the most.

Been to many high end Sushi and Japanese restaurants in London and New York, the quality here rivals and even beats all of them, including ones that cost triple the price. Unbelievably well done. Location is a off, but I guess I would take it if it means keeping the price in check.

Loved it!! One of the best sushi we've had around here. This restaurant was highly recommended by one of our friends and it didn't disappoint.
Kabooki is pretty small, so reserved your table early or you'll wait a bit before eating, and, because of its size, it is a little loud.
It is a little pricey but the food is so good, it's worth it. Nothing to complain about. Our server was great, knowledgeable, friendly and always making sure we were ok. We will definitely go back!

We had such a great time! A little on the pricey side, but the food was worth it. We loved the Yucca Fritters and the Maguro Truffle as well as some of the specials for the day like the Salmon and the Tataki. We ate a little early and then ducked out as it was starting to get really busy around 7:45. I would absolutely go back if I'm ever in the area and would try one of the chef's recommendations. Didn't have a bad thing there!

My personal favorite and recommendation to anyone wanting to try this place out.

Kabooki has been open for over 4 years now. Owner and head chef Henry has been in the business for years. He was at Sushi Pop and then decided to open up his own place afterwards.

Ordered the porkbelly roll to come out first as I was eyeing the Ramen Noodles for my dinner selection. It came out pretty quick. The roll itself was interesting. It wasn't a typical rice seaweed construction. It was more of a rice-paper roll with the pork belly inside. It was crispy and the sauce was in a small saucer with a quail egg in it. I was instructed to mix the egg in the sauce to bring out the flavor for the roll. It was heaven. It wasn't tangy nor spicey. Can't really pin point a description of it but please try it. You won't be disappointed.

To the main dish I ordered. The ramen noodle bowl. This is rolls Royce version of top ramen you used to make while in college. The broth is made the night before cooked to perfection. The pork belly is made in house the day of. Seasoned with the right spices, it complements the ramen. Half fat half meat. The noodles are firm not soggy. The soup is non spicey with other additions to it. Chopped up scallions, beach mushrooms, small but thick slices portions of the pork belly and a hard boiled egg that has a slightly runny yoke in the middle and a thin sliced Japanese fish ball. Everything combined and thrown in your mouth is just an explosion of flavor you just have to experience once. Maybe many more times if you enjoy it. The portion size andensity is just right. I was able to slurp everything to the last drop down and finish it was no problem at all. Maybe come in with a hungry appetite and you can too thrown down like a champ.

5 stars for sure for this establishment. The prices are a little higher then most sushi restaurants but the freshness and creativity compensates the prices shown on the menu.

I gave this restaurant only two stars this time, but that is unusual. I eat there a lot and it is normally outstanding...one of the top restaurants in Orlando. However on Saturday night, August 12th, it was really bad. The food was definitely not up to par and the service, while friendly, was slow and basically inattentive.
