Was entertaining a business friend who was Indian, thought it might be nice to do this. He liked the food and thought it was good. I would go again alone or with a colleague or friend who appreciate Indian cuisine.

Delicious as always! I highly recommend the Sunday brunch. At first it might appear to be a small selection, but I’d pick a smaller sized buffet with delicious, fresh dishes over a large selection of mediocre food any day. They are great with allergies and my son, who has several, always leaves happy (we order him things off the menu and they are happy to tailor dishes to what he can and can’t eat).

It's been a while since we have done a Brunch at Kabob and Curry but the youngest son was craving it so we jumped on the chance to do Easter Brunch. Everyone enjoyed the meal--although we ate too much!--and it was much like we remembered. There were some special substitutions in honor of Easter--lamb tikka masala instead of chicken and carrot pudding instead of rice for dessert--both excellent choices that we would eat anytime. It was a little noisy upstairs but they have removed some tables or something so it didn't feel as crowded as we remembered. There was no sense of being rushed and we could have stayed longer but some in our party had to go to work. Hopefully we'll all be available to go back again soon.

This our go to restaurant when we are craving Indian cuisine. It never fails to deliver. Food is always consistent and delicious. Service is always spot on. Wait staff is very knowledgeable on food choices. Not much else to say because this restaurant is always on point.

Our visit was not great. The restaurant felt rundown. A large party was being served and our orders got a bit confused. We were put toward the back with a heater on the floor behind my chair. when I complained, it was rolled away but still plugged in. We were very tightly sat next to the table behind us. The food was not as good as I recalled from years ago.

We come here twice a month because the food is so damn good. Everyone who works here is so friendly and cheerful. If you’re not sure what to get and they will guide you and you won’t be disappointed. You will never go wrong coming to this restaurant. Best Indian food, bar none

The food was good but not spectacular. I really appreciated that the dishes were not as oily as I have experienced in other Indian restaurants. The prices were about average for this type of cuisine.

Great location in the heart of Thayer Street on the East Side. Tamarind margarita was great, garlic stuffed naan was out of this world, hot garlic shrimp was indescribable! Altogether a great dinner.

Started going in high school, then kept going through college in Providence, then grad school, and now go there with my kids...

Needless to say, a definite fan.

The wait staff is some of the friendliest, most down to earth people you'll ever meet - anywhere. The food is always excellent, and uniquely flavorful despite the other review, and the prices continue to be great (they were good on high school date nights, even better now!).

There's not much more to say. Place is very casual, food is great in the restaurant or for take out, and they will take very good care of you.

(I live in NY now, still go every month or so, and think it's the best Indian food in the Northeast.)

There is always a brunch on Sundays, but this was a special one for Fathers' Day, and it was glorious. A chana saag (chick peas and spinach) was fabulous, a lamb dish on the buffet was a real treat. Our only disappointment was that the rice pudding, usually fabulous, had pineapple added to it, which wasn't a hit with us, although others seemed happy with it.

Food is always good and may have gotten better since the last time I was there. However, we had a large party and first of all, the waiter tried to take all the orders mentally without writing anything down. Of course he forget things as a result. Also, the other waiters didn't seem to understand that we wanted to share the dishes and didn't know how to place them on the table in such a way that the dishes were distributed. They forgot to apply a coupon until we pointed it out. And one of the waiters didn't seem to understand the concept of "packing up the leftovers." However, they tried to correct all their mistakes and we were a large party. Overall, it was a good evening!

The Sunday buffet continues to be one of our favorite treats, although we also go for dinner, and would go for lunch if it were closer. The selections always offer enough variety that we both find plenty to enjoy. The staff are great, and welcome everyone warmly.

We went with a large family group, 13 people. The food was good and varied enough for everyone to find something they liked. We had a very nice sauvignon blank that balanced the food for the adults. It was a bit noisy, but we had 8 people aged 12 to 20 who enjoyed themselves and we did not have to worry about bothering anyone else in the room where they had all the larger groups. There also appears to be a quieter dining room downstairs.

This is an okay restaurant - not terrible, not particularly good, either, and if you've a particular wish for good aloo paratha or a specific naan filling, or much of anything, you'll almost certainly be disappointed. Pretty much all the dishes taste the same. If you happen to like that, then it's great.

My daughter is a vegetarian, so this is why I chose this restaurant. I have no idea about Indian food. I liked what I ate, but did not know what sauces went with what dish. This was a buffet and there was no way to tell what the dishes were. It was OK. I doubt I will ever return. I know there weren't as many selections that were vegetarian as my daughter hoped there would be.

Food tasted great, had no problem getting a table on a friday night when we went. Only issue i had was a waiting for our Naan to come, because of some back-up in the kitchen, other tables were waiting too, and my side dishes were luke warm. Had both a Drink special, and a dinner special. Very reasonably priced.

I eat a lot of Indian food all over the US and this was some of the blandest I've ever had. I give it an overall "fair" rating because they do a good job of making the food not greasy and do go out of their way to make accomodations for people with dietary restrictions.

The only negative available for this restaurant is the paper table covers. We understand the reasoning, but they catch on one's cuffs and rustle. They also look a bit more like a crab house than a nice restaurant. But the food is so wonderful, and the service so warm and friendly that the paper isn't even close to being a deal-breaker.

What a wonderful spot this is. Everyone receives a warm welcome, and the food is spectacular. We were there for the Sunday brunch. I'm a picky eater, but it is very, very rare that I fail to find a wonderful meal. One of the dishes this week was a wonderful cauliflower, carrot, potato and bean dish; a bit hot for my palate, but worth every delectable bite.

Kabob and Curry continues to be our favorite spot for the Sunday buffet (meatless on Saturdays), dinners for any occasion, including one wonderful Christmas, and lunch when we can. We are regulars, greeted by name, but see all the customers getting the same brand of warm and friendly service.

Chicken saag. This is a magic dish. Wonderful chunks of tender white-meat chicken in spinach that has many layers of flavor. I ask for it to be prepared mild, and it comes with a gentle heat that is so very, very pleasing. We also had chicken biryani, with its fabulous flavors and textures. The servers are all gracious and friendly. Our only complaint is that we can't get there often enough.

We go there so often that we feel like family, and are welcomed as such. But if we're honest, and pay attention, we notice that many, many guests are greeted by name, or if not by name, with warm recognition. No wonder there are so many regulars. That's a testament to the food and the staff. Another testament for an Indian restaurant is the number of patrons clearly there for a taste of home.

I recently ate here for the first time and really loved it! Just a little hint: When they say a dish is mild it is still a little bit spicy. However, if you love Indian food this is an excellent place to go. Sitting next to the window in the back is not very scenic, when we went for dinner the house next door was undergoing renovation and there was trash in the alley, but the inside of the restaurant is very colorful and nicely but simply decorated. So tip #2: ask for a seat next to the bar or by the front window. It's also small, so not ideal for a group of, say, 20, but perfect for 4 to maybe 8 people. And the service is excellent! Overall, I definitely recommend a visit here if you are in the mood for some tasty Indian cuisine.

This is our regular restaurant, so a regular review wouldn't really be fair. But this visit was for the extensive gluten-free options, and the complete understanding of the staff of the celiac issue. Being able to dine all together, is a gift.
