Great service from John. Enjoyed my main, Mahi-mahi! And mushroom risotto! Everything tonight was perfect . Thank you
The food was disappointing.
Good was wonderful and our waiter was great and prompt. Not the cheapest place to eat, but a great place for special occasions
We’ve never had a bad dish here, until tonight. We love this place: the service is great, nice views, lovely ambience.
2 things detracted from great: the noise level was cacophonous, and the risotto dish was absolutely ruined by the presence of a vile goat cheese that not only was unnecessary, but tasted like a funky goat. It was gamey, and not in a good way. It actually rendered what would have been a great dish, inedible. If I ordered this again, I would ask them to not only avoid the noxious cheese in question, but to have it nowhere near the kitchen or my food. It was truly awful. And I like goat cheese. I say this here, as the servers and staff were so busy with an extremely full dinner service, there was no opportunity to give feedback.
I will say our salads were delicious; they substituted avocado in my burrata as I did not want the ahi. Very nice. The rum chocolate cake was ok. It seemed to be missing something to balance the dish.
As always, service was friendly, timely. It always is. Just ditch the goat cheese. Please.
Once again...consistently great food and friendly, personal service. Carlie is absolutely wonderful!
The best octopus preparation anywhere and that Coconut Sundae...awesome!
Service was spectacular. Good excellent as well
Awesome waiter Chris!
Had 5 entries (ribeye was sold out) on the menu. So many other restaurants with a better menu and more reasonable prices. Better value at Ko Fairmont or Duo.
It was good
Over priced with no ambiance and mediocre food and service.
I really enjoyed the clams appetizer ( (it was a large portion) and the mushroom risotto entree (tasted perfect after I requested Parmesan cheese) fresh ground pepper would have been good too.
We also tried the mahi mahi. Not a fan of chorizo but that’s just personal preference.
Waitress was a little disinterested, otherwise atmosphere was good. Food was very good.
Birthday celebration why don’t these restaurants give away a free dessert at least ?
Beautiful place, great ocean view, good service, food dishes were tasteful and prepared well. My only comment was my main dish came cold while my wife's was fine.
Shows a bit of lack to detail. I still recommend it.
Service was excellent from the valet to the restaurant wait staff. Food was phenomenal. Definitely would recommend if you want a nice night out and want to splurge while on Maui.
This is a little price but the quality of the food and service was well worth it.
excellent service! beautifully prepared + presented food. i appreciated the artist in residence program + the unique installed works. as an artist/designer, i wish the uniforms were branded/more unique - as special as the food + millwork.
We have been long-time fans of Ka’ana Kitchen, and it was a regular date night for us pre-pandemic. We took visiting friends on 1/6/22, and wow, everyone left because they’d had it with the poor treatment from management/corporate. So now the head bartender is a kid who knows nothing, they lost the good kitchen staff, so the menu is just another version of what’s at the next hotel. They used to have the most amazing fried chicken and mochi, but it’s now been replaced with buttermilk fried chicken with cornbread. Buttermilk is supposed to tenderize the chicken, but mine was tough and tasteless. Add a bit of cornbread, and it was okay. The whole menu is nothing special, probably due to the lack of talent in the kitchen (again, because they were all treated poorly). Our friends who worked there for years left during the pandemic because they’d finally had enough. Those people serving you are treated like garbage, and are basically told they’re expendable. Unacceptable. If you dine here, tip well and be kind, because the staff deserves some decent treatment. Be prepared for drinks with no alcohol in them (despite being alcoholic and $21), and a disappointing menu. We will not be back—much better places to dine where the staff are treated like human beings and the food is inventive and amazing.
The food was inedible. My tuna tasted appetizer liked chemicals and my fiancée’s vegetables tasted liked cooking gas. Could not eat the fried chicken entree. The one saving grace was our waiter who tried very hard to be positive about the experience and was attentive and efficient. Steer clear.
Local family coming for the second time. Rib eye was fantastic but overpriced. Wish that there was a Kamaaina discount so that we are able to support you more
Lovely restaurant, food and service.
Great food and experience
Excellent food and service as always. It’s why we keep coming back.
Special request: please consider bringing back the chocolate peanut butter dessert we enjoyed years ago. It was simply the best, and no other compares.
Absurdly expensive NYE dinner for mediocre food, very limited menu, and average atmosphere. You can’t see the ocean at night so doesn’t matter that hotel is on the water.
Great birthday dinner! Family friendly. Fresh flavors and food!! Can’t wait to dine here again!!
I think this was our best meal on Maui! In addition, they did a GREAT job for my son with multiple food allergies. A total win win in my books.
Mahi-mahi and Ahi dishes were fantastic and our server was attentive but not overbearing!
Absolutely lovely ambiance, great view, fabulous food and top notch service!!
Food was substandard this time. I am not sure if we’ll go back. Weird dishes and flavors. Hanger steak was just OK AND ahi wasn’t anything to write home about! I liked the waipoli greens but it didn’t need the sweet pecans. This was a special dinner that was planned in advance but we were all disappointed in our dishes. There are better restaurants like Mama’s or Halimaile General Store-
Amazing food and setting. Our family loved it!
The food was amazing. Best steak in the world
We dined on Christmas Eve and the prix fixe menu was not accommodating to vegetarians. For $650 (including wine which was expensive) for two people we were not thrilled. They offered a salad and risotto which were okay however not outstanding and nowhere near worth the price.
Food quality has deteriorated unfortunately. Hopefully it gets better soon. We’ve had excellent meals here before but this time around it was mediocre.
The food was not good . The service was good and they adjusted the bill for us but the menu was very limited . The beef appetizer was very good but not the meals
Loud. Super loud.
Indoor seating feels like an upscale cafeteria. The outdoor dinning area is a shared access path to the pool and lawns. As we dined, peopled streamed by our table after the luau let out. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere and price of the dinner do not match the food.
It was amazing service and delicious food, my fiancée and I really enjoyed a lovely dinner overlooking the beautiful ocean and infinity pools. There was live music from two awesome musicians and a very friendly crowd in attendance. Try the Mahi Mahi..
Excellent food and view. Amazing sunset at dinner.
Chicken portion was enormous
Ahi three small (1oz) pieces
Bland Food, priced high but would not have cared if it was great. Very disappointed. Go elsewhere. Our waitress very nice and apologetic and said another customer just told her the same thing. Too bad, we were excited then had the wind taken out of our sails.
