Ka'ana Kitchen at Andaz Maui
Our dishes are prepared using techniques from around the culinary world, but thought-out in accordance with our micro-climate. The way we prepare our fish, season our salads, and grill our meat depends not only on its origin, but what the weather tells us, how the swells on the ocean shape our mood, and how the land influences our feelings.
Here we hope to blur the lines between your kitchen and our restaurant, between what is external and what is internal. We invite you in, share our hopes, and create a unique dining experience that connects you to this place and its essence.

Very creative menu. The Food was great. Went back a second night just to try other items on the menu. The Chef is a true artist with food.
The scallop dish I ordered had 3 overly cooked scallops that were extremely chewy. The 40is dollars spent was not worth it. The portions were small is well. I would not go back.
The Sommelier and wine list are the best in Maui. They do amazing pairings for the menu. Another great experience
Great food, especially the octopus and wagyu hanger steak. Very fast as well. Would have dinner here every night
Get Jon as your server! super knowledgeable and very nice.
Not sure why they serve the main dishes all at once but the food is great. Should do one dish at a time though.
Server John was outstanding. Wine Director Charlie amazing. Food was delicious. Excellent service
I was disappointed with this place. I expected an amazing meal. Service was great. But the food is missing flavor. Food was very fresh, ingredients great but the execution was off. Sashimi had an anchovy sauce that was way over the top. Very over powering and it killed the delicate flavor of the sashimi. Chef just needs to work on the flavor profiles and put it together better. The drinks were great though nice hand crafted cocktails.
Food and service were both excellent. Get a table outside if you can. A shared app and two entrees was actually enough, but we both ordered desserts anyway. We left stuffed. The octopus app was especially well done.
Service is always Flawless, food is always unique and delicious and staff is always friendly
Friendly ,great service, food was very good with a great view
Amazing food with a beautiful view.
Thank you for making our anniversary such a special event! We were very impressed with the quality and flavors that you offered, and we look forward to dining with you again.
Spent too much & left hungry!
Phenomenal foodie experience!
Over priced. Food was ok. Live music was really loud.
Good food, not great food. Food was overpriced but service and ambience was great. I never regret spending $200-300 on a good meal but this one was a miss for me.
Terrific food, great service, amazing view. I'll be back!
Our server was extremely knowledgeable and personable. His recommendations were spot on with the Octopus so tender and flavorful. We felt foolish ordering the fried chicken but OMG it was a culinary experience that I can’t wait to try again!
Server was very absent. He only stopped by long after we wanted to order food and never stopped by to check on us. Food was overpriced for the portions. Best Ahi I’ve ever had, but you only get three bites. Good views and ambiance. My wife and I are on our honeymoon and the server brought us glasses of champagne during dessert after we already finished a bottle of wine. We probably should have gotten the champagne before the meal and before we ordered a bottle of wine. You can do way better in Maui.
We often have brunch at Ka'ana Kitchen but hadn't had the pleasure of dinner until recently. Every dish was an incredible balance of flavor, texture and color from the intense watermelon salad combined with li hing maui, arugula, goat cheese and balsamic to the delicate Kona Kampachi and creamy risotto. There was even a dessert for gluten and dairy free diners that was NOT sorbet - a green tea coconut milk ice cream that might be the best ice cream I've ever tasted.
As a bonus, we were seated outside overlooking the lounge, pool and ocean so were treated to some lovely live music.
We'll be back!
We loved it! Gorgeous setting and cool open kitchen concept. Loved the octopus salad, watermelon salad. Tuna tataki was good. Fried chicken was outstanding!! Service great too!
I have dined in restaurants all over the world. This is one of the most wonderful experiences I've ever had. The service is perfect. Genuinely happy people, making your meal ideal. The food is interesting and deliciously prepared. The chef really does give you something remarkable with every course. The view is one of the best in Maui - a sunset dinner I'll never forget.
Great local and seasonal food paired with incredible wine list. Staff is top notch and the ambiance is perfect. Must try while on Maui!
We stayed at the Andaz (2nd time in 4 years) and enjoyed our dinner at Ka'ana Kitchen. We also ate at Morrimoto (located at the Andaz) and really enjoyed that as well.
Our food was terrific at the Andaz and I would highly recommend it. Unfortunately our server seemed to be annoyed that we were there. He was not very helpful and we felt he was rushing out. His service is the only reason we did not give the experience 5 stars.
The food was incredible and our server was very attentive and nice. However, we were seated almost a half hour after our reservation, and the food came out incredibly slowly (it took over 90 minutes after being seated just for two apps, two entrees, and two desserts). We may not have minded if our flight wasn’t early the next morning, but we weren’t expecting to be at the restaurant until after 10 for an 8pm dinner reservation. But if you have the time and don’t mind waiting, it’s definitely worth the food!
The restaurant is beautiful with great views of the hotel pools and ocean. It was full but not overwhelming. Unfortunately, service was pretty slow. Also, for $30-50 per plate, I was expecting much more from the food. Everything was very tasty but should have been in the 25-35 range for the quality.
Ka’ana Kitchen provided great hospitality and a great experience for celebrating my partners birthday. Food was delish! Views were poppin! And the music... sounded like John Legend was there himself!
It’s pricey restaurant but has amazing veg appetizers and desserts. Entree was a hit or miss. Recommend risotto (they can make it veg)
Fantastic meal. Everything was amazing. From apps to dessert. Best meal we have had on Maui and in top 10 anywhere. Worth the $$$$.
Everything was delicious! Service was great and ambiance was nice too !
Good local selection of fish and veggies with thoughtfully mAde dishes.
Quality/price ratio is poor despite the expected low ratio of the entire island. I guess they survive due to the captive Andaz crowd
Turned away for reservation. Told restaurant was overbooked and did. It show our reaervation.
Service was incredibly slow and food was overdone
Service was attentive but not intrusive. Presentation was beautiful with food to match. We would highly recommend and we will return.
Start to finish our experience was fantastic. From the service to the food Ka’ana was one of the best meals we have ever had.
Fun atmosphere, chef’s kitchen allows patrons to peruse what’s being prepared for the evening. Excellent wait staff.
The food was over the top , we did the restaurant week menu. It was amazing!
JD was an awesome server! We came in for an early graduation celebration for my sister and we could not have had any better service. The food was so ‘ono (delicious) and we enjoyed our time there. Portions are on the smaller side (even with the menu items listed as big portions) but it was nice to order a bunch of items and share it all ‘ohana style with all my family. Can’t wait to come celebrate there again!
