The scallops were fantastic
what a wonderful place! i enjoyed a ladies luncheon there so much on wed that i made a dinner
rreservation for my entire family on friday night!
I haven been to K town numerous times, and am usually very pleased. No this time. The New york Steak was big, tough, grimly and rather tasteless even though the cooking was good. A smaller, higher quality piece of merat would have been much preferred.
Food, value and service were outstanding, as usual. The only problem was that the restaurant was relatively warm. I assume the air conditioning was not as effective as usual. We were slightly embarrassed since we had invited another couple to join us for dinner, and had told them how wonderful K-Town is.
Good was very poor quality. Tuna was flavorless as was the beef stroganoff. Service was good. Won’t go back. Had been there a couple of years ago and it was quite good. Has there’s been a change of ownership?
Very average experience. The French onion soup was the best thing on the menu, at least from what we ordered.
Parking has never been a problem for me. Staff is very welcoming, with good service throughout my meals there. Prices are reasonable for the quality, but one can easily spend upwards of $40 per person for a three-course dinner with a glass of wine. A semi-hidden gem.
Delicious food, attentive service, charming ambience. A gem.
Went with friends for brunch. We ordered bottomless mimosas, soup, roasted vegetables, omelet, and grilled salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the coffee was wonderful, too. Great service, great food.
Very pleasant end quiet atmosphere. Good food, good service overall a recommended place for lunch with friends.
Delicious food, superb service, enjoyable milieu! Outstanding value.
We were there for our 38th wedding anniversary dinner they gave us a flute each of champagne
The next day was my birthday and they gave us and after dinner drink for no charge
The dinners were cooked to perfection and were delicious
They were very attentive
It is definitely a little gem in Kensington area.
Good food and nice service. The duck a l’orange and chocolate crepe brûlée are delicious！ Will definitely be back. 🤗
I took a party of five adults and one six month old for a Sunday brunch/lunch. It is nice that each person can choose to order either off the brunch menu or regular. This is a great quiet place to catch up with old friends over great food without feeling rushed. The braised short ribs with risotto is amazing!
Lovely Sunday place for brunch. Good food and service. Very charming atmosphere.
A lovely Saturday night dinner! My husband had the cod which was very good, but I suspect he was envious of my filet mignon. It was superb, and accompanied by a creamy risotto and spinach--a perfect combination. Thank you, K Town! We'll be back soon.
A table worth some fine cuisine. Impressed by such variety of courses. Chapeau!
i had the vegetable plate - excellent. I usually get the oyster app because it is divine. the coffee is soooo good. love this place!
What can I say, the food was great.
My beautiful wife and I had the blackened salmon, scallops, tuna tartare, and Caesar salad.
Two splits of chammy, excellent service, good price point all in a lovely setting....What’s not to like?
We’ll be back!
Amazing food, ambience, and a neighborhood gem.
I love this place,
We are big fans of K Town Bistro. Their food is delicious; service excellent; atmosphere comfortable; parking free. Highly recommended.
Exceptional service. Tasty food. All in a delightful setting.
Usually we have enjoyed our meals here, but the ribeye steak I had was sub par. I ordered it medium but it was more like well-done. Also, it was rather tough and difficult at times to chew. I left half of it uneaten. As it was the most expensive entree on the menu, I was really disappointed. The other two diners with me were very satisfied.
the soft shell crabs were delicious; and the staff is kind about substitutions (eg. extra veggies, no potato)
the desserts are superb.
I frequently dine at nice restaurants when traveling for business. I chose K Town for a Tuesday evening anniversary celebration. The service was superb. The food prepared and presented nicely. The prices were reasonable or even low considering the quality.
Always a delightful meal, very pleasant. The food is great quality but a bit pricier than you would expect for the Kensington area.
Superb service, outstanding wine selection, amazing cuisine....our "go to place" for any and every occasion! BRAVO!
The service and food was excellent. They deliver old-world service here; like I find in Europe! There were seven of us and they didn't miss a beat! They know the right balance in delivering a great menu, knowing when to check on you and when to allow the table to converse. K Town will be a go-to for us from now on!
The food is always very good--even creative--and the proportions excellent. The service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful. This is at least my 8th time eating here.
The food here is excellent -- I had escargot as an appetizer and beef stroganoff as my entrée, and my husband and I split the crème brulee for dessert. All were delicious. The prices are reasonable. The service was professional, attentive and quick.
Went there with parents after seeing a show at Kensington Arts Theater. Everyone loved the food... Great taste, great location.
We were visiting my husband’s brother and his family and we are from Toronto. We were also celebrating our 27th anniversary so we decided to go to a local restaurant. This place did not disappoint at all from service to food. it’s location added to the quaintness and specialness of the place.
This is a wonderful little restaurant with a great menu of carefully prepared entrees. We go here every time we go out for an evening to attend a play at the Kensington Arts Theater just three blacks away from the K Town Bistro. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere perfect if you want to have a nice quiet conversation while eating.
Had lunch with a friend. The tomato basil soup and the flounder I ordered were outstanding. Service was very good.
The holiday menu had a reasonable number of choices. Service by the whole team was nice and responsive to our needs. The prices were good for a holiday. We will return.
The food was cooked to perfection
The soup was delicious
The owners walked around making sure all was right
He came up to us before we left and offer us some free soup to go how nice is this?
Tasty food in a quiet space, with waiters who aren't over-attentive. Save room for dessert!
Very nice food very small restaurant
Everything was perfectly satisfactory, but we drove more than 1/2 hour to get there, bypassing many equally enjoyable restaurants on the way. Prices were on the high side.
3 in our party, got there early for our reservation and they had the table ready. Hubby ordered the $30 ribeye and said he’s never had a worse steak. The birthday girl ordered the caprese salad which was wonderful. I ordered the orange almond salad which was mostly romaine, very few oranges and avocado and even less almonds. Ladies ordered the beef stroganoff and the noodles were fettuccine or linguine rather than wide egg noodles, the sauce was very thick and the beef was old. My friend ate two to three bites and when asked if she wanted a take home box, declined. $50 for two orders of mediocre beef stroganoff, a French staple. Very confused about the reviews for this place. We love to support local businesses so we are additionally bummed.
