K restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I mentioned in my open table reservation that the occasion was my birthday. My party was offered complimentary champagne, and I received a complimentary dessert! The staff was exceptionally cordial and attentive, and the chef came by near the end of our meal to ensure everything was satisfactory, and to mention some upcoming events planned for the restaurant. The food was uniformly excellent, and the prices were very reasonable for a high-quality dining experience.
What a fantastic experience at the K Restaurant my husband and I had on Saturday night after attending Get Off Your Feet Show at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center. This was our first visit to the K Restaurant and we were not disappointed! Farm to table specialties were outstanding: the fried green tomatoes and scallop appetizers were exceptional, my hubby had the mac and cheese main course and I had the swordfish. Yummy Chef Chad, who visited our table on a number of occasions! Our waiters were incredibly attentive and taught us all about our choices and local farmers. All in all a 5 star meal for us and we will be back soon for another visit as we live in Kissimmee! Cyn and Chris
First time there with new mgt. and chef and was not disappointed. The food is still fantastic - our group of six had the fillet, venison, duck, and swordfish and all the dishes were delicious with a lovely presentation. They seem to be embarking on some good changes/additions, especially in the courtyard. Will be back!
This was the third time my wife and I had dined at K and the new owners have done a great job. The food is just as good (and eclectic) as the original restaurant (if not better). If there are quibbles, they're very minor. Their liquor license hasn't gone through yet, but our server said that should be done by the end of October 2017. Ambience in the main room can be noisy if you're near a large party (we had a table of 12 next to us). And as always, parking is... challenging. One last thing to note, in the category of cost, I'd put K in a three $$$ category, not a $$. It's nothing extravagant, but when you have a $50+ steak on the menu, that ain't exactly cheap. Great place - book early as reservations fill up quickly.
K's recently changed owners and he stopped by for a friendly chat. Says the chef and staff are the same an he has no major change to the menu. Several items we ordered from the menu were modified from the internet menu...hurricane impacts maybe? The food and service were still great. We all loved the fried green tomatoes with crab dressing. My beet salad was delicious although the fruit compliment was not orange but still tasty. Three of us had the haddock, a moderate sized grilled fillet with a delicious sweet corn dressing and a slightly crunchy grilled broccoli head.
K has a new owner/head chef and he is FABULOUS! I was not disappointed in anything and my old favorites are still my favorites! I started with the deviled eggs and had the Red Grouper as my entrée. I will be going back soon. I did find out something new this go around. They are able to use the next door property/buildings for large parties/catered events. Good to know!
Chad, the new executive chef, came to our table to inquire about our experience and share a bit about recent changes/updates and plans for the restaurant. The front of the house served our table, and was very knowledgeable about the wine list (which I believe he put together), and was happy to answer questions. Very welcoming, and laid back dining experience. Definitely plan to return!
8 p.m. dinner. The food was delicious and exactly correct portions, house pasta, fried tomatoes and quail. Decent beer and wine selection. The cocktail menu was fabulously creative. But it's the little things that make for a good review. Our server did not offer bread until after our cocktails arrived and we had ordered dinner. Then it didn't show up; we had to remind him. It arrived half way through dinner. No one offered coffee; we had to ask. Noise level high enough we were leaning across the table to hear each other
Overall, very good. Fantastic wine list and they currently have a special going on through October where every bottle of wine is $10 off. A group of friends and I ate there in conjunction with magical dining month. ( $35 for 3 courses at a variety of fine dining restaurants throughout the orlando metropolitan area... ) The potato & leek soup was spot on. Creamy and perfectly seasoned. The gnocchi came with a light but very tasty sauce. The only problem was that ( as it seems with virtually any and all pasta at restaurants in the USA .... ) it was a bit soft. A little more al dente would've made it near perfect. Finally, the blackberry cheescake for dessert was quite good if not outstanding. I'd definitely go here again with or without magical dining.
My wife and I tried this restaurant fkr Olando Magical Dining. My wife had the Ceviche, Teres Major and bread pudding. I had the Wedge Salad, Tetes Major and cheesecake of the day. From start fo finish the food was Outstanding. Tbe steak was better than any we have ever had. We will definitely refer thus retaurant and go again!
Let me first say that when you sit at a table in a restaurant and salt and pepper shakers are nowhere to be found on the tables, you know the food is going to be good. I was on travel and found this diamond in the rough via open table and decided to check it out. It lived up to my expectations and then some. The fried green tomatoes are as good as everyone has raved and the duck was phenomenal. After dinner the waitress provided a dessert menu with great options. I had to run and inquired which one would last a 10 minute drive. She states that it would not do the dessert justice to ride with it that long as it is prepared fresh and should be enjoyed that way. It's rare you find a place with staff that holds the food in such high regard they will talk you out of an order. I appreciated that more so than the meal. This place is worth the time for you to checkout and become a regular. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.
Omg!! I can not say enough about K restaurant! From the time we walked in ..they had our table ready. It was a special night as it was my birthday! They had menus printed with Happy Birthday, Kristal on them! Which immediately made me feel special. They executive chef/owner came out and introduced himself and checked on us periodically through the evening. Our waiter Rocky was certainly entertaining and very attentive. The food was impeccable! We tried many of the dishes and I have to say you can not go wrong with anything on the menus. The attention to detail, superior service and staff will have us coming back again and again. We look forward to our next dinner wth you K.
Everything about our experience a K Restaurant was amazing. The food was absolutely phenomenal, but more importantly I was completely floored by the service provided. We were greeted promptly by the host, seated immediately, and there were customized menus for our anniversary. Our server wished us a happy anniversary, and brought over two glasses of sparkling wine. The chef visited the table, talked us through the history of the restaurant. And the pastry chef gifted us a dessert. All these little touches go such a long way. We will definitely be back!
This is our second time here. The first time we had the best dining experience of our lives. This trip was a close second. The service was top knotch again. The new owner came and introduced himself to us and assured us the quality we know would not change and it didn't. Food was fabulous. Deviled eggs were amazing. Salad fresh and crisp. Entre's "Pork porterhouse" "filet" and "scallops" were on point and cooked to prediction. Sides full of flavor and the Pecan pie and coffee topped off the evening. Bravo chef
Rocky was an amazing server. He really set the tone for an incredible evening. The food what spectacular. The ingredients were stellar and the preparation was exquisite. From appetizers to dessert, the food was fantastic. I had the duck breast and it was terrific. With a crispy skin and a savory Demi-glaze, it was my favorite dish. The rest of my party had the grouper with risotto and homemade pasta and clams. All in all a five star experience. I highly recommend!
