K restaurant Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I try to try a new place every Friday night for "date night," and since moving to Orlando a few months ago our night at K takes the award for very best service so far!
We were seated immediately upon walking in, at a quiet corner table. We were brought water right away, too. Our server was Evan, who I'll request next time if it's an option, because he was absolutely fantastic! After asking if we'd ever been there before, he welcomed us and gave us the rundown about the restaurant (farm to table, no walk in freezer, uber-fresh seafood, and all about the chef who recently spent time in NOLA and brought back inspiration for their ever-evolving menu.) He offered us drinks, and-- unlike a few places we've been lately--didn't bat an eye when I asked if he had "any delicious virgin drinks for the pregnant lady," (to which he warmly congratulated us.) He brought back a very nicely poured glass of wine for my husband and a delicious fizzy-berry "something" for me.
After narrowing down our course selections to a few items, we took all of Evan's suggestions on our final choices and weren't disappointed. We had the Harissa Cheese and an order of brussel sprouts as appetizers. The cheese came out hot and the brussel sprouts were some of the best we've had in any restaurant.
The kitchen got a little backed up with our entrées, but Evan kept us updated on their progress and kept our drinks full. When our food was delivered it was worth the wait. My husband got the fish of the day- Flounder with an awesome sauce and (I think it was) an asparagus risotto. I ordered the Spring Pasta, but requested they add bacon/some sort of protein to it-- which was happily accomodated by adding crispy pork belly. We both finished our entire entree. For dessert we shared a deliciously creamy lemon cheesecake with blueberries and whipped cream.
We will definitely be back to visit K in the near future and have already recommended it to friends.
The food was excellent and so was the service. We enjoyed our server's warmth, conversation and forthright recommendations. He knew the menu well enough to provide immediate replies to some allergy related questions about ingredients. If you want a farm to table restaurant in Orlando THAT IS NOT A CHAIN (PRAISE THE LORD), this is a great find.
I went with a friend to get to know you better. Our waiter, Austin, was great. He was present just enough but not obtrusive. The hostess was nice. The food was delicious. We shared the Brussel sprouts and shrimp appetizers. Our entrees were the salmon and roast duck. Both were outstanding. I had a wine cocktail which was just okay. I would stick to a regular glass of wine next time. We sat outside, which was a very nice ambience since it's still relatively cool in the evenings. Be sure to use the lemon scrub in the bathroom- it's wonderful. I'll definitely be back.
We were on vacation in Orlando and looking for a special dinner, not a chain restaurant. K was outstanding. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server, Nick was friendly and knowledgeable. We were running very late due to traffic and they held our table for us and accommodated our request to alter a dinner for our young son. Everything was outstanding and I would highly recommend K.
We were able to get a reservation on very short notice, and had a nice table outside. Our waiter was exceptionally well-informed, accommodating, and clearly loved where he worked. We went with his recommendations and were pleased with the quality and freshness of the food.
We have been here once before - it was great both times. Great service, great (and creative) food, and delicious desserts. I loved my husband's beet salad (and I've never liked a beet salad before). Also cannot say enough about how amazing the Mac n Cheese and French Toast Bread Pudding are.
Sorry to say, but it was the first plate I haven't finished in a restaurant in several years. My wife's plate was average. We live in the neighborhood and this restaurant is well spoken of, so perhaps it was an off night or just not our night but these meals were very average at best and not flavor or all that appealing. Not moderately priced either. If the prices are top shelf for Orlando, then I expect it to be on it's game all the time and not just most of the time. We'll try again, but not soon
We were in from out of town and I had seen good reviews. We sat outside, so can't say much about the inside. The view outside is nothing to speak of, but being from a cold weather place, we welcomed the opportunity. The food was amazing. Definitely best dinner I had in Orlando. Loved the grouper. Everything was fresh and tasty. Wait staff attentive. Would definitely return.
Went there with the intentions of having a meal but after reviewing the menu order three appetizers which were amazing. More food than two people could eat. If not going to a concert after eating I would of had a doggie bag to go. Preparation and ingredients of the food was above and beyond good. Our server was by far the high light of the evening. He personality and manner along with the food made the night great. Hats off to "K" and will definitely return for more eats.
We like trying new restaurants, but this is one of the ones we keep coming back to. The food is consistently delicious and every server has been knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. It is a great place for special occasions or just enjoying a meal with your family.
Exceptional food (just went to som amazing restaurants in NYC and this food was equally good). The Sausage Mac & Cheese (5 different cheeses) was exceptional. The duck was perfectly cooked medium rare - juicy and flavorful. And the service was warm and memorable. People just had fun. We had an excellent time here two years ago when we were in town and tonight was equally good if not better. Excellent!!
My sister and I had dinner at K Restaurant for my Birthday. The server was very knowledgeable, explained the dishes we had questions about and gave some great advice about a wine pairing. I would definitely recommend K Restaurant to anyone celebrating an occasion. The dining rooms are not large but they do give each table some privacy. Definitely worth it!
Food is delicious! Server Rocky was a real treat and we do appreciated the interaction! Great knowledge of the menu and food in general, he too perfect care of us.
Rarely do I order a burger in a restaurant, but I did and it was pretty amazing!
They only do beer and wine. Good selection though.
