The overall dinner was great but can be a bit pricey especially if you get wine. Food was delicious and service was prompt. It’s a great place to go for a date night but the ambience isn’t as fancy I had envisioned. It was simple and quaint. The ever changing menu would bring me back to try something new but truthfully, I’ll be happy with just the bread pudding.

My experience is underwhelming. Unlike other restaurant who participated in Orlando magical dining, K restaurant scaled down their servings and presentation of food for magical dining diners. Definitely not going back here to dine if they still participate in Orlando magical dining in coming years. Wait for my yelp review.

K has been compared to Ravenous Pig as a chef-owned restaurant, but I have to say the food is WAY better here. We went here for the Magical Dining special and tried pretty much everything that was offered. Food was fresh and well-seasoned. Notables include the beef tartar (good smokiness & not mushy), flounder with succotash (great thyme lemon butter flavor) and the Schnitzel with grits & greens (well balanced & buttery). Only slight miss was the fresh pasta (a bit overcooked & too much fennel in the sausage meatballs). Other reviewers have criticized the building (an old house) and I can see why as there was a slight muskiness when we first entered. Overall the food was fantastic & we had a great experience. Will definitely come back.

This was my second visit to K Restaurant. I was not impressed the first time, but was willing to give it a second chance. We decided to go during Magical Dining to see the newest menu creations. The fried green tomatoes appetizer was great, the rest of my food (pasta and french toast bread pudding) was underwhelming at best. The pasta was greasy and the dessert was too sweet. They did not have a calorie count menu and couldn't give me any exact numbers either (doesn't help when you're trying to eat healthy). The ceviche appetizer had almost no fish and the seafood entree was smaller than the palm of my hand. I would suggest this restaurant only for wine and cheese and/or appetizers, as they seem to have a good selection in those areas.

We made reservations at K after reading glowing recommendations on opentable. Only one time slot was available. We were seated in the front room section between the porch and the dining room (likely because our last minute reservation was at 6:30). They attempt to make the area more private with curtains, but it was still very loud and distracting being right next to the entrance door. My husband ordered the magical dining menu and I had the duck breast. Both entrees were "good", but neither worthy of "excellent" as previously reviewed. The service and the wine were the highlights of the night. I do respect and thank the restaurant for staying local with the ingredient/food sources.

Attended as part of the Orlando Magical Dining Month. Excellent meal as always, but the deserts fell a little short. It is easy to continue to recommend K.

We've been to some wonderful restaurants since we moved to the Orlando area about a year ago, but this converted bungalow home on Edgewater Ave. in the College Park neighborhood can be considered one of the best meals we've had since we moved here. We had been wanting to try it for a while, and were lured in by the special promotion going on across the city that gives diners a Prix Fixe menu (appetizer, entree and dessert) for only $33. One of us did that and the other went off menu. The results in both cases, were simply spectacular - the pork belly appetizer was divine and the pork tenderloin was succulent. The service was fantastic and the meal was paced just right. We feel like we discovered a gem that all foodies should know about.

I came here for my birthday dinner and I wasn't disappointed. It was my first time here and I must say I can't wait to come back. The food was excellent, wait staff very friendly and the restaurant has a "homey" feel. It helps that the restaurant is an old home but it works great. Loved it.

I was very pleased with K. My first time there, and the service was exceptional. I can't believe how many nice restaurants I go to and they lack in service, not at K! We had 3-4 people serving us and that's when you know and feel like you are being taken care of!!! Also, the food was marvelous!!!

The food and the service at K was outstanding. The ambiance was not. The restaurant is located in a home and the ambiance does not match the quality of the food. Seats are uncomfortable. Rooms are crowded. The noise level is high. You feel like you are in Mt. Dora rather than in College Park. However, the fresh food and the innovative menu more than makes up for the surroundings. The service staff are cordial and engaging.

We went on a Saturday night and ordered from the magical dining menu. The fresh flounder was amazing. The singing waiter was wonderful. He even coached my husband on how to feed me correctly. The only reason for the 4 stars on ambiance is that is was a little warm where we were sitting. Oh, and the lemon dessert was the perfect end to the meal. I will definitely be back.

The magical dining experience was my second time at K Restaurant, and I was a little disappointed that the food wasn't as good this time around. The service was still exceptional, and I plan on returning, but the food didn't quite measure up to what I had during my last visit a month ago.

This magical dining experience was a miss. Over cooked pasta & fish and although the pork might have been pounded thinner the grits and greens were great. Portions were generous. Try the 'keg' wine.

Food is always top notch! Love having Rocky as our waiter. He's always very entertaining and attentive! There was a large private party going on in the main dining room so it was a bit noisier than we would typically experience, but overall, a great night.

I have been wanting to go to K for long time but reviews up and down. We had 7 in our party and we all said we would try again but I felt more attention to food prep could improve if they want a knockout restaurant. The appertizers were good but a little bland as was the sea bass. The winners big time were the succotash under the sea bass and cheesy grits under the pork schnitzel. I realize it is hard to put a lot of flavor in sea bass but this was a very flat taste. First time I had seen schnitzel served on a plate rolled up! In spite of this a second visit is in order. Service was very good

Enjoyed taking part of Magical Dining at the neighborhood restaurant. I started with the beef tartar. The portion was adequate, however, the egg on top seemed a little cold and the yolk did not run into the mix; however, I have heard this to be typical of organic eggs. My friend ordered the fried green tomatoes with crab meat and I felt it to be the better choice. We both had the fish. I felt my fish was a little salty and the veggies a little too oily. My friend enjoyed the seasoning and didnt complain about the oil. This isnt my first time in the establishment and certainly not my last.. All in all its about the food, ambiance and service and all were met. thanks

We were visiting Orlando and heard about this restaurant via Trip Advisor and it wasn't what we expected. Service was poor and the food was fair, we ordered the fried green tomatoes and it was not good it had cold crab salad on top. It was a mess and it tasted like it was pre made or frozen.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. The meñu selections are always fresh and ordered from local farmers. There is not one thing on the meñu you would not like. Definitely try the pork belly with watermelon if it's on the meñu. It's the best.

We have eaten at this restaurant many times, and have always found the food consistently fresh and well prepared. Menu changes often, but we've never been disappointed with the food here. The atmosphere is charming and quaint and definitely not a chain restaurant experience. The restaurant is located in a converted 1920s bungalow home with separate rooms and a cozy wine bar as you enter. The chef does a fantastic job and the service is helpful and efficient. This is our go to restaurant in Orlando for a nice dinner out.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and it was well worth the wait. My husband and I split and order of the PEI mussels with pork belly appetizer. It was outstanding -- an ample serving for two, and one of the appetizers that I have had all year. The duck breast was also very good.

K Restaurant has exceeded our expectations! Not only do they have excellent service, but the food is out of this world! The Fried Green Tomatoes are an appetizer I could order each time we come to K! The Filet is of the finest quality and always cooked to perfection (and that comes from a Midwesterner who grew up on great beef!). The service is fantastic as well...always recognizing why we eating at K and then conversing with us at appropriate times throughout the evening. In addition, the servers know how the food tastes and make excellent recommendations based off of described tastes.

The food was very good. My wife had the Foie Gras and Wagyu Beef. Both were excellent. I had the Ceviche which was very good but I felt it should have been a little colder. Duck entree was cooked perfectly. I would like to see the entrees either come with a vegetable or at least offer vegetables as a side dish

:( after spending thousands of dollars on a Christmas party & multiple visits over the past year I had a bad experience, the food was so so but the service was really sloppy and almost rude. felt like we had to beg for drinks all night & never offered anything that we didn't ask for...when we ask about specials we were given this cheesy line " everythings special"
maybe rocky just had a bad night?
he's never served us before, but I'm sure he will never serve me again!

Definitely a local finer dining restaurant that deserves a try. They use local and homegrown produce and meats, which I can tip my hat to. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, not overwhelming by any means, and adorable to say the least. The atmosphere is quaint, romantic but still a relaxed feel to it. It seems that there was more of an effort and emphases on smaller dishes than entrees. Our appetizer, salad, and dessert was the best part. If I did go back that would be what I would get, more smaller dishes, no entree, and some dessert. Between those and the price being fair for all that we had that would be why we would revisit.

I have to start by thanking our waiter Jared. He made our evening! He was very attentive - knew the menu well - and had a great attitude. We read the reviews and thought this would be a great spot for a date! We were in town for an adult get away and love to try new restaurants. You must try the Fried Green Tomatoes with Crab and the Stack salad if they are on the menu they were a great start. For dinner we had a perfectly cooked filet and the gnocchi and it was to die for!And of course we had to do dessert and it too was amazing! The flavor combinations and textures made each course more enjoyable than the next. You really have to eat here if you get the chance! Thanks to everyone at K for an awesome evening!!

We had a great meal at K Restaurant -- accompanied by a terrific waiter and a fun vibe! I had the tempura squash blossoms followed by the swordfish entree; my dinner partner had the wedge salad followed by the lobster mac & cheese. We split two desserts -- salted caramel cheesecake and french toast bread pudding. I enthusiastically recommend every dish! Our waiter was fun and quirky and attentive, but did not hover. If there was a negative at all, it would be the view from the porch, which is either the parking lot or the street, depending on where you sit. It takes a bit away from it all, but not enough to make me stay away. Can't wait to go back!
