Our server Elvis was accommodating and polite. The food was AMAZING!!!!
Would definitely visit again.
Dinner with 3 colleagues - food was mediocre, drink orders took a while and were a bit different vs order but not bad. Decent option, but was overrated on the opentable app for sure
Dinner was very good. The Lobster Baked Potato was yummy! Lots of Lobster and worth the 30 bucks! Scallops were awesome, with this cauliflower spinach side that was the best I ever tasted! Rib steak was good, a little overdone (asked for medium rare), but tasty as well. Nice experience! Thanks Elvis for the great service!
Chefs heard it was a birthday and sent some delighters to the table. So fantastic!
Excellent steaks and service
Nice big juicy pieces of meat. Cooked to perfection. Excellent wine list with many new selections to choose from each time we are there Good service is always a plus and our server Elvis was great.
We stay at the LAX Marriott every year for a convention. My husband and I have eaten here for the last two years. The steak is one of the best In the city. The French Onion soup is so delicious a few hours after our meal I got another bowl to go for a nighttime stack. Service is excellent. Seating is comfortable.
Elvis our server is s legend. The food and everything was outstanding. Always enjoy eating there
Repeat visit for us. Everything was outstanding!
Excellent service and great steaks
Stayed at LAX the night before we were flying out. Called J.W’s to see if we could split the Rack of Lamb on menu. They said sure!
Ordered the Lamb, Brussel Sprouts, Garlic mashed potatoes and salads. All were excellent. The sear and medium rare cook on the lamb was spot on.
Had a bottle of Pio Cesare Barbera d’Alba off the wine list that perfectly paired with the lamb.
All in all, a bit expensive but definitely worth it!
Delicious. Service was amazing. The hostess was outstanding.
A nice surprise after a long day of travel. Delish!
Everything was very good. There was nothing wrong with the service but when charging that much for food, the level of service should have more expertise and attentiveness. Again, nothing wrong with the service, just comparing to other restaurants that charge that much for food this venue was under par.
Excellent service and food
It was far above my expectation. Best martini I ever had. Food very good. A bit pricey for the setting but delicious!
Staff as usual terrific. Noise level was a louder than usual, but it was New Year’s Eve and expected. Still could have a nice conversation.
Excellent service. Food was wonderfully prepared and delicious.
We had an excellent meal at JW's on New Years Eve. The salad was cold and crisp, the scallops were perfectly prepared but we didn't make it to dessert. When we were finished eating, we waited 10-15 minutes for someone to notice. Our waitress was nowhere in sight. My husband got up from the table and went to the hostess to request that someone come and clear the table. Someone came and bused the table. We then sat for another 10 minutes hoping to order dessert and coffee. Again, our waitress was nowhere in sight. My husband again got up from the table to speak with the hostess and request the check. She was very apologetic and came over to the table to let us know there would be no charge for the meal including a $40 bottle of wine. So, the food was excellent, the service was mediocre because of one person. The rest of the diners seemed to be adequately tended to. I normally don't complain about bad service, I just reduce the tip, but at a restaurant of this caliber where entrees range from $36-$70, I felt it was justified. And, I also want to make the point that the manager did the right thing by us. She was gracious and apologetic. I would go back and try this restaurant again next time we're in LA.
Excellent service , the food was amazing, you must try the lemon cheesecake with blueberries , unlike any cheesecake I’ve had before , our server was amazing and attentive , can’t wait to go back
Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere. Delicious lobster bisque and lovely lambs rack and steaks. Very nice service at the table. So for us it is a 10 +.
Overall very nice. Attentive service. Steak and lamb chops very good.
Great Place to have a nice dinner at LAX! Very good service and food.
We were pleasantly surprised with the service, quality of food and fairly good prices on high end wines at a Marriott hotel adjacent to LAX. Thank you!
Great Steakhouse. Lamb chops were fantastic! We do recommend!!
The waiter was friendly and very attentive. Food was great! And ambiance was fabulous. I’d go there again
The food was good but a bit pricey!
The service was excellent - Grace attended to us very well. She made honest recommendations and was very knowledgeable about portion size, etc. The disappointing part of our meal was a very expensive rib eye served to my dining partner, ordered medium rare, served well done at the rib end and medium well in the filet. Overcooked by alot and tough, flavorless. Sent back would require everyone else to wait. Grace offered to take it back to the kitchen, my dining partner did not finish the steak. It should have come off the bill. We were happy with our chop salads, my lobster loaded baked potato was an AAA+. We dined on a Monday night, the restaurant was moderately busy. I can only assume the Monday staff on the braiser is not the head chef. Better luck next time?
Our server was fantastic... I wish I could remember her name! We were on our honeymoon and she made us feel so special with a cake and lots of congratulations! If we lived in town, we would be back for sure! Highly recommend for special occasions!
Very nice place with a great rack of lamb. Sides are a little unimaginative, but all else was very good.
Amazing food and service!
Price was super high esp coming from Australia but yummy!
This is after all a hotel restaurant. But I was shocked at the high quality of the steak and the service here. The filet was prepared perfectly and tasted as good or better than any I have had at high end steakhouses anywhere. Our server was a man of high composure, charm, and expertise.
We learned that the following day was his 50th anniversary with Marriott. Imagine. Another of his colleagues was celebrating his 48th year. It doesn’t get any better than this. I’m happy I’ve been staying at this hotel for over 40 years.
I ordered an old fashion and it was good but I’ve had amazing.
You spend the same amount of $$ as you would in a Mortons or Ruth Chris and the quality is not even close. For a $50 steak is was much smaller and not as tasty as the previous mentioned. The service was good and atmosphere.
Excellent food, excellent service
We got there about 15 minutes before the kitchen was closing and the server really made us feel rushed to order, other than that it was good just not great
We’ve been here few times, always enjoyed the food and service.
Very good food and the wait staff is professional and friendly.
My meal was great but one of our party ordered asparagus which I would probably not be serving asparagus this time of year as it tends toward woodiness and she returned it. Her lamb was also cooked past the medium temperature she ordered. Our server was great about accommodating her. On other diner in our group ordered a filet at medium and hers was also overdone but she kept anyway...it can be tough on the server when the kitchen isn't as supportive as they might be. Loved your vegan options.
A friend was staying at the Marriott for a one night layover at LAX. We met him for dinner at JW's. Didn't really expect much from a hotel restaurant but was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent - we each had a petite filet which were perfectly cooked and delicious. All the sides were really good. Great service and cocktails. A bit pricey but worth it for what we got. Will definitely go back.
