The food was ok, ambiance below average, and high priced. I probably won’t repeat.
One of the worst experiences ever. The place was packed and I never saw more than two servers handling a ton of tables. Well, not handling, that's the problem.
I had the blackened salmon BLT sandwich and it was great !!! So mag different flavors in one bite it was amazing. I def recommend it !!
I reserved this restaurant for Valentine’s Day since this is where we had our wedding. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food that was brought to the table. We spent over $140 dollars and both of our entrees were cold. I couldn’t even say the food was warm because it was that bad. I complained to our waitress and asked her to take the food back to warm it up. She brought our meals back and the food came out warm at the most. So basically I completely hated the food and wasted money. I would have much rather ate at Texas Roadhouse. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The restaurant wasn’t even busy to justify the food being so horrible.
The food was very good but not memorable and overpriced when compared to comparable restaurants. Service was good.
When I arrived the waiter saw us but did not acknowledge us. The bartender did not bother to look at us while speaking. The waiter was nice but not the best. The food did not have any seasoning or flavor. The steaks were not cooked as requested. Food was very bland and the Bloody Mary I ordered was very pungent and tasted of pure dijon mustard.
We took my elderly Mother for Christmas Day lunch. The lunch was a buffet although it is a stretch to even call it that. Salad consisted of greens, tomatoes, carrots and several dressings. I did not end up eating mine as the ranch dressing was not very good. On the, so called, buffet there was turkey (rather bland) stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy and an omelet station, but no bacon was offered to go with the omelet. Desert was apple or pecan pie, bread pudding and some sort of green filled chocolate cake. I have never seen such a pitiful buffet anywhere I have eaten. It would not have been quite so bad had the price been in keeping with what was offered, but at $30.00 + per person this was just ridiculous. Other restaurants at this price offer carved ham, carved roast beef, shrimp, sometimes crab claws, bacon, and sausage, in addition to turkey, omelets, huge salad bars with a variety of salads, numerous vegetable choices, fruit and marvelous deserts to choose from. I would certainly not return to this restaurant again and would not suggest it to anyone.
Food for a Christmas brunch was good. A more varied selection would help. The service was excellent. A great alternative if one does not want to cook a Xmas dinner and clean. The ambiance is very nice.
I had a rubber band in my food from asparagus and it was just brushed off. Still paid for the upcharge. That was disappointing In an otherwise nice meal. It doesn't take much to keep a happy customer.
The Butter cake is out of this workd
Darlene was excellent! We enjoyed celebrating the 14th anniversary of our rehearsal dinner at the very same restaurant.
We had a party of 3 and there were only a few people there. All staff was great. Pasta (Alfredo) was over cooked pasta and my baked potato had a really bad spot in the middle that would have been seen if they split open the potato before serving. Filet mignon was delish!
Wine choices were limited. Special anniversary meal and no mention by restaurant. Steak was just ok and seemed rather an ordinary cafe type restaurant.
I was truly disappointed in this restaurant. I guess I had hoped for something with more ambience. We had read the description as being a steakhouse with surf and turf... this just was not accurate. There were no surf and tirf options that we found. We were expecting more of a restaurant rather than an open extension of the hotel. There was literally only one table there besides us and it was so bright and open, it lacked that intimate feel. I think this would be good for groups of people staying at the hotel for a wedding or conference, but not a date night restaurant. In addition, we found a string or piece of cloth in the crab cakes, which made us wonder what else was in the food. The wait staff was friendly. We actually didn't order a dinner there, as we didn't feel the cost was with it, after finding something in our appetizer...
The menu on Open Table was not the same as in the restaurant - they had not updated their menu. No fresh fish option & pork that was listed in open table was not available.
Loud hotel restaurant. Pleasant service.
VERY mediocre food. Both NY strip and filet completely lacked any flavor or juiciness. No crust and medium rare was really rare. Served next to a single small potato.
Humus platter extremely overpriced for a blob of tasteless humus and a few carrots. Pita was warm tho
Would not go back for dinner. Overpriced.
Our steak dinner was cooked to our liking and was tasty. The fresh baked sourdough bread was warm and delicious. Our server, Ryan, provided us with great and attentive service.
Had a great steak here and also enjoyed a few glasses of wine. Our server was a bit quieter almost changed the whole experience but he warmed up. Felt like they're in need of a hug. Bartenders were a terrible let down. Bad attitudes and slow as molasses
This place is not what it used to be. The experience used to be top notch, from the eclectic menu to the great service. Now...unfortunately, it is a ghost of a restaurant. Overpriced, generic and disappointing. My husband and I have eaten here for over 10 years and this experience will keep us from ever coming back. Horrible service, bad food and lame atmosphere. Sorry, save your money, you are better off at Denny's next door!!
The service was a bit slow and the entree's didn't come with many sides. Typically we are used to a salad and a side. It would also be nice to offer bread and butter while waiting for dinner. Waitress was super nice however we waited for a long time for our dinner.
Food was just ok and the menu is not very deep. Very convenient if your staying at the Marriott. The wait staff was excellent. The buffet breakfast is worth the money and was much better than the dinner.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious, our waitress Darlene was very sweet, and we had a great experience!
Really enjoyed the food and the service we received from Darlene!!
chicken picatta was delicious. However, I think it is rude to charge me $6 extra because I requested 2 different sides that were not paired with this entree. Always trying to gouge the customer. Marriott shame on you. I'm sure the baked potato I requested did not cost you $6 more.
Quality ingredients well prepared! Nightly specials.
Place has totally lost its experience. We did New Year's Eve in a ball room setting. No what it used to be.
This was unbelievably overpriced for the food we received.
Steaks not cooked right, tough and flavorless, baked potatoes cold and undercooked. 20% gratuity added for party of 6. Our server was good but he was the only positive thing about our evening.
$300 meal that was worse then eating at a cheap chain steak restaurant.
Very disappointed.
It's not bad for hotel food. The service was good.
Excellent food and incredible service!!
We were first time guests. The restaurant was too cold, the food entirely over-priced and on top of it all, charged me 18% tip for 2 ppl. Totally outdone. Won't be back. Thank you though
Not very good. Disappointed in the food this time around. Have been before and it was very good, even though it's pretty expensive. This time the steak was full of grizzle, and the small baked potato was lukewarm and the butter wouldn't even melt on it.
Ordered the filet and Im not sure what cut of meat it was...looked like a burger (thats what my daughter asked if I ordered without a bun....tender but not a near quality filet mignon)....asparagus spears overcooked. Cauliflower mash was very good ...subbed for mashed potatoes. Tried my wifes steak sliders...not good...very tough.
We always stay at Marriott for Keeneland weekends and appreciate a good steak after the races.
The pound cake dessert was the best I have ever had. Phenomenal!!
I liked it a lot. There just was no real excitement atmosphere but real good service and food
Our server was friendly, but the service was slower than expected for the relatively few patrons that were present. The Ahi Tuna appetizer was pretty good. Our Steaks were cooked to correct temperature, but not otherwise particularly noteworthy; no better than I can cook at home. The Broccoli was steamed correctly but not seasoned. The Mushroom risoto was very bland. With Appetizer, two steak dinners, and two cocktails from the bar, the bill before tip, was $117. Overall not an impressive meal and poor value for the cost.
Service and staff was very attentive and timely but not so much as to be intrusive. Food was top notch and delicious but just a bit more expensive that it needed to be. We dined there as a celebration for my wife's birthday and the restaurant made to sure to recognize her special day without too much attention. Overall we will plan on having other special occasions and family gatherings at this establishment.
Great service and tasty food! Everything arrived in a reasonable amount of time. All in our party of 8 were very pleased.
Our waitress Darlene was a gem! The food was amazing. The risotto with our cowboy steak was dry but the steak was highly flavorable and the butter cake with bourbon sauce wow!!! The highlight: CRABCAKES!!! I am not the type of foodie that eats at hotels..but I will be going back. Kudo's to the chef!!!
Great food! The menu has changed since we are there in October. Sad that lobster bisque had been removed from the menu, but the onion soup was out of this world! The service was wonderful and the filet mignon was outstanding!
