Excellent food and service. Lots of hotel guests but this is as good as any local fine dining competition. As a local we plan to return.
The quality of the food was exceptional. Very expensive but it was a splurge for our family when staying at the hotel. My family was dressed nicely as were a few other people but several people were in shorts. Perhaps there could be some type of dress code??
We had a wonderful time. Slightly under construction in the room we dined but was still beautiful. The bread was fantastic. I almost snuck some home! We ate seafood and my husbands stuffed lobster won. Such a nice dinner.
Family Sunday Brunch - 2 adults and a 10 and 9 year old. Excellent experience: beautiful restaurant, great food (buffet and made to order), good drinks and exceptional service. Highly recommend if you are staying at the JW - we will brave the Saturday madhouse for the Sunday brunch! Allergy friendly - son is allergic to nuts, sesame and shellfish and doesn’t eat eggs and STILL had a great selection!
Steaks were great. The side dishes were decent. B
Every time we stay at the JW, we come to this place because it is fantastic. They even offer you a nice spread of cheeses before you sit down. Casey was our waiter and he was very friendly, attentive, and provided exceptional service. Their steaks are some of the best but the greatest thing on the menu is their truffle cream corn. Overall just an excellent restaurant that I would go to more often if I lived closer.
We have been to the best steak houses all over the US and this was one of the top. Everything from service to the food was awesome.
food was excellent I would go here again. The crab cakes where amazing
Great food in an spectacular place !! And the service was excellent!!
After 3 months of not being able to visit the Brunch due to illness - we are back.....I consider it the best brunch in or around the San Antonio metroplex. Fantastic variety of seafood, cheese, desserts along with a small custom order menu that comes with the brunch.....serve staff is always fantastic
Our family experience was wonderful..
Our service was Creme de la Creme!
The food was delicious!!
Amazing! Service and food was great!
I would say that the steak was well cooked. Perfectly pink in the middle just as we requested. The service was great too. My biggest disappointment was the veggie sides. They were not good. Not even ok. Pretty disappointing considering how great everything else was.
Every time we stay at the JW Marriott, we book a dinner at 18 Oaks. The food and service are always impeccable!
We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Christian was really outstanding. He made our night out special!!!
I was disappointed with the behavior of the Server (female, I don't remember her name). She wasn't especially nice or friendly. The food was amazing, although insanely expensive. It was really loud. That's about it.
My family was staying at the resort and wanted to do a nice meal. The filets were very tender and flavorful. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend eating here.
Celebrated our mother’s birthday.
The food was excellent, service was great and the drinks were great!
Great food and desserts, Every item is always fresh and has great taste
Luis, our host, made this anniversary brunch memorable. Live music in the background and a brunch fit for royalty.
The food and service was fantastic. It was super loud while we were there and it was hard to visit, but overall it was great and we’ll be back
Luis was great, great steak / scallops. Would certainly recommend to others.
So good we are going back tonight!
First time in san antonio and wow. Jw Marriott and 18 oaks are fantastic.
Food and ambience close to 5 star.
Maybe just our server, nick.
For a resort hotel, we expected better service. No offer to refill coffee or juice, had to keep reminding him. Water spill on table and he wipe it with his hand. Even my 12 years old daughter noticed it.
We were at Las Canarias Sunday brunch not too long ago, I would say food and ambience were comparable between the two but las canarias server went beyond and over. Plates constantly collected and drinks filled without being asked.
Some of the house made bread were a little stale, but the banana muffin were really good.
Tomatoes and cucumber feta salad very good.
Seafood section very fresh frequently refilled.
Prime ribs roast better than la canarias.
Cinnamon French toast made to order another item worth trying
18 oak egg Benedict’sa hit among the kids and grown ups.
Best dessert we tried were the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream(bluebell).
We will return for the food and ambience but hopefully a different server.
From the moment we were seated and throughout our dinner the service was impeccable. The food was so good I dont have words to describe how impressed we were. Definitely must visit again!
Joe was a great waiter!
We had a great experience here and was our first stop when we got into town. Joe is an amazing waiter!
Best brunch in San Antonio! Their Sunday buffet brunch has something for everyone.
Our waiter, Luis, was thoughtful and very kind to me and my husband. The level of service and the delicious food are the reasons why we come back again and again. Kudos to Luis and the chef for another wonderful dining experience at 18 Oaks
Fantastic restaurant. Excellent wine choices, steaks, lobster and specials. Only complaint that I would have is that it’s slightly overpriced. But I guess that’s the price you pay for a prime steak at a hotel chain.
Our table was right next to the door going out to the patio. The atmosphere was "men's grill-like", noisy and not well appointed. Service was below average maybe because we didn't order cocktails to increase our bill hence the tip. Both meals were excellent although the corn was not cooked to perfection. I would prefer a more quiet atmosphere for this type of restaurant but since it's off the golf course maybe I should have expected something like this.
Very polite staff. Extremely good service and food.
The Brussel sprouts were way too over cooked.
Waited almost an hour after reservation time. They didn’t have enough servers to accommodate the number of customers. Food was good.
Food and service was outstanding. Went back for dinner the next night as my experience in the other hotel restaurants was not good
Not worth what you have to pay. Our bill was easy $125.00 more compared to top scale white table cloth steak restaurants. Over priced.
Our server Lewis or Luis (not sure of spelling) was phenomenal. He attended to us quickly and made great suggestions. There were some parties that were atypically loud, but it did not completely spoil the evening. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and out of town guests.
Great experience overall! We did the Sunday Brunch and it was excellent. Definitely pricey, but no question we felt the value was there.
