    Had happy hour, drinks and appetizers last night with a friend. Super friendly staff drinks for cold pizza was hot and loved all the flavors and would definitely go back. Happy hour prices were awesome as well!

    We had a great evening enjoying an outdoor table. I got the pasta with clams and thanks to our wait person she recommended that they could make it more mild which was perfect. My husband had the pasta with shrimp and he said it was very flavorfull and enjoyed it. We started with the bread and pesto dipping sauce so good and split the Caesar salad. We had not been to Juniper for a few years but will definitely add it to our favorite list!!

    The drinks were great, definitely would go back for the cocktails!! The service was slow (2 hours for 4 people) and the food was mediocre with small portion sizes for the price. Overall would go back, just not for food!

    This is the worst meal we have had in a restaurant in 20 years. The worst rib ey steak I have ever eaten. Other food was not good. The staff was nice but when a piece of brick fell out of the wall and sharply hit our table, they just opined that recent storms had affected the wall. Sad and we have been here before but will not go again..

    Took family here for our first try. Crammed into a tiny table right by the door. Server was friendly but slow. Food was ok but wouldn’t go back for the money

    Great cocktails & a good selection of food from pasta and pizza to a wonderful coffee encrusted lamb dish, local trout was very good.. We all enjoyed our meals and the experience. Sheridan’s service was excellent and quite made the evening.

    Sheridan was a great server! She was very informative and had great suggestions. We absolutely loved the drinks we chose as well as the Truffle Fries and Brie appetizers. My barrata salad was yummy and my husband really loved the Salmon he had. Also that Sesame cake was the bomb! So glad we found this little restaurant and hope we can come back the next time we are in town!

    Juniper is a very nice place to have dinner. It’s casual, not fancy, I felt over dressed in black jeans and a collared shirt on a summer evening. I’m a gin and tonic fan and I’ve got to say that their special homemade tonic makes for a great G&T. The patio is small and relatively busy but shaded in the evening hours and a really pleasant spot for dinner. Rachel took great care of us, professional, prompt when needed but not trying to hurry us along. It’s hard to understate how important pace is for a nice dinner, but she got it right. I had the chicken and my wife had the trout. Both were excellent. Hard to find any faults in a flawless evening. Make sure to get reservations well ahead of time. It’s a busy place.

    Our dinner was amazing. My boyfriend got the spicy clams with linguini, and it was so flavorful! I got the shrimp with house-made pasta, and it too was wonderful. We got the sesame cake for dessert, and while e we were a little hesitant at the name, it too was so flavorful and just the right size to split. The price was reasonable for what we got. Lovely place. We’ll be back!

    We ate and drank @ Juniper on a very busy Saturday night. It was not too noisy or frenetic. The food was delicious and we like gin so had some fun with that. Our waitress was a bit overwhelmed and kept apologizing. But we didn't think there was anything wrong with the service? Overall a very good experience.

    I met some friends at Juniper for happy hour, and we had a great experience. There were several excellent specials for food and drinks, including pizzas and salads, and the drink specials were especially impressive (2 cocktails for $12). I highly recommend their gin & tonic--it's their best drink on the menu as a fresh take on a a tried and true classic.

    Service was very attentive. Cocktails were fantastic they specialize in Gin had a dirty martini with Hendricks and a drink called Juni and the Jets both delicious. Had the Rosemary Truffle fries (sidewinder style) with roasted garlic lemon aioli YUM!

    The service seemed disorganized with different people trying to give us other people’s food. When food arrived, the $40 steak and vegetables were cold! The cocktail I ordered seemed straight up alcohol and soda with no other flavor. Ambiance outdoors is nice but would not overall recommend for the price.

    Food was good. Service was friendly & helpful, but our waitress did miss part of our order, I believe due to the noise level. It echos a lot in there with the tall hard walls. Could not really hear the music being played over all the voices in the room, so the music just added to the din. Softening the walls acoustically in some way may help.

    The gnocchi portions were very small. The half chicken was missing a full breast to be considered a half chicken. Both were very tasty, just too small. I think they made up for the lack of chicken with way too many potatoes. The potatoes were actually the only thing in either of the dishes that we didn't like. Very bland and flavorless. Our server was great and patio seating is always enjoyable on a beautiful evening.

    Food is mediocre for the price. Grilled Cheese was overcooked, dry and hardly had any cheese on it. The Bison Burger has more meat on the plate than in between the bun. And the Trout Sando was dry and overcooked. Nearly Tasteless

    We’ve been wanting to try this place for some time now but were quite disappointed after we finally did. Food was mediocre and overpriced. The side salad was a joke. Brown lettuce with a few tomatoes and cucumbers for $7. Couldn’t really taste the salmon and shrimp pasta due to the overflavoring of sauces. Good flavor but just too much of it. The drink menu is probably why patrons go here. Looked impressive. We don’t drink but maybe that’s what keeps people coming back to this place. There are other restaurants in the Boise area that we’d rather spend the price to enjoy. This place isn’t for us. But Shaq, our server, was great! Very kind and helpful in explanations. He made sure we were satisfied and well taken care of. He was the best part of the restaurant!

    Juniper Restaurant was a real treat. The restaurant has a quietly elegant but casual atmosphere and decor. The service was exceptional, and our server made wine and food suggestions when asked, and she was exactly right with both (Split-rail Chardonnay and Shrimp pasta with lemon, olives, arugula and capers, my friend had a glorious burrata salad). The food was fresh (homemade pasta!) and delicious. I was thrilled to find a restaurant on the quite side too, no loud music to make patrons speak loudly over it. I will DEFINITELY go here again and often, and recommend it to everyone I know.

    Wow! What a great experience! We hadn't been to Juniper since it re-opened after Covid Closure. I am SOOOO glad we came back last night! A quick reservation and I'm so glad we did. The ladies up front were super genuine and sat us quickly. We couldn't decide on Apps, so we went with the Black Sea Salt Bread & the Fried Cauliflower. oh em gee. Both so good! The dipping sauce for the bread is outa this world! For mains, I ordered the pesto gnocchi. Had asparagus & cauliflower in it. One of the best gnocchis I've ever had. Home Run! We brought our own wine in, but their selection looked great, too! We will be back!

    Dinner was not great .. server failed to share there was a HAPPYHOUR .. I pointed out that I ordered a full price drink … no one shared the HAPPY HOUR MENU .. I ordered a couple appetizers and told the server .. excuse me.. why didn’t you tell me I had choices off that menu.. she said o I’m sorry . The salmon was undercooked on my full price Caesar salad and 2 other Caesar’s were ordered off HH menu.. mine was same size 🥴 … I was pretty underwhelmed. I will not be back ..

    Excellent food and service! Not crazy about house tonic, so drink was replaced. Appreciate gluten-free options on the menu, including the risotto and pumpkin cake which are DELISH!! Will return!
